Dr. Rosen is a disgrace to the American Dental Association!
Went for a routine visit. I was the only patient in the waiting room, finally 1 hour later I’m called. Again I sat and waited. Dr. Rosen did the fastest cleaning I have ever had. He left the room, I waited and waited. I went out to ask for him & was informed, I was finished. Dr. Rosen could act in such a deplorable manner. He has a total lack of professional behavior. Dr. Rosen is a absolute disgrace not only for his office but for the entire Dental Association in general. A waste of more than 2 hours.

My first visit will be my last visit. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. From the wait time, which I understand it’s a doctors office there’s other patients. But low and behold there were no patients back there. The male dentist was in and out of the office ordering lunch and going to cvs for snacks the assistants were either putting change in meter other getting lunch one and another one sweeping in front of building. The female dentist was doing God knows what!!! but definitely didn’t have any patients back there. My appt was for 12:30 for both my son and I. X-​rays get done after a wait time of about 40min. After another 40 min wait I get called into the chair dentist comes in and instead of her knowing who’s in her chair before hand she asks my age, I’m baffled don’t you have my info before hand and it’s on the screen in my face. She asks my name something she should have known before coming into the room. Her bed side manner was horrible the office was dusty and dirty, water stained ceilings, missing tiles on ceiling. Purely disgusting! By now I’m upset, to make things worse she is wetting my face with the water pick I’m signally her to slow down to be a bit more gentle she ignores my signals so I sit up spit tell her she’s wetting my face she says ok you’re done… Mind you I haven’t event gotten a full dental cleaning I got up and walked out to waiting room where she slammed the door behind me. I was so angry I told my son if he wanted to leave he said we are here might as well
Get this over with. He missed the day of school already and didn’t want to miss another day. Appt time was for 12:30 didn’t leave till 3pm purely ridiculous!
This office BY FAR is the worse dentist office I’ve ever been to. STAY AWAY!!! I wish I would’ve read these reviews before making my appt.

Despite the negative reviews I still convinced myself that it was ok to go to this dental office because it is close to my house and accepts my insurance (which many places do not accept). I sincerely regret that decision and urge you to stay away. At this point, I would rather pay out of my own pocket than ever go to an awful dentist like Carroll Gardens Dental Associates ever again.
During my cleaning, they took x-​rays but didn’t identify any cavities. I had to tell them that I thought there was a cavity before the dentist suggested filling it. Also, during my cleaning, I was being constantly sprayed with water because the tool they use for water was broken.
My biggest regrets happened during my appointment to get my cavity filled. I was the last appointment of the day and had to wait 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor. Then, they couldn’t figure out how to get my tooth numb. Multiple times I felt horrible pain during the procedure. I started to get nervous and the dentist said she couldn’t continue because I was making her nervous! She is a dentist! I thought most people were nervous about getting their teeth drilled into. After trying to numb my tooth three times she told me that she couldn’t fill my cavity today and that she would have to put a temporary sealant on. I got the sense that the truth was a mixture of A) She didn’t know how to numb my tooth and B) everyone in the office wanted to go home and didn’t want to wait for my mouth to get numb.
Seriously, listen to your gut feeling on this one: stay away.

do not come here. do not waste your time. this is the worse office ever. they do not care about your time. unless you have private insurance, they won’t care about you. please save yourself the time, trouble and tears and go somewhere else.

Horrible. After waiting for one hour and 25 mins from my scheduled appointment time, even though the doctor seemed very friendly and knowledgable, it didn’t help much. He rushed the routine cleaning in under ¹⁵⁄₂₀ mins, the fastest ever in a dentist office. While waiting, the front desk kept reassuring me that it would take only few more minutes, «just a few minutes and they’ll be with you». I could have gone home and come back if they informed me that would take an hour and half over from actual appointment time. The front desk said, they were short on staff and then the doctor said, they had an emergency.
A total of close to 2 hours of my life wasted (which I am never getting back) on a job that should have taken maximum of 30 – 35 mins. Unprofessional!

It is 5 minute walk from my apartment and the dentist was friendly. I did have to wait 35 minutes for my appointment but the dentist did the cleaning himself which was a nice change.

I had a 4pm appointment for today and when I showed up the place was closed.

Went to Dr Rosen for a cleaning. He took barely 10 minutes to do the cleaning and during that time he left to see another patient. After inquiring he came back to argue in front of me with the staff about the other patient.
It is bad enough to have a tv in your face, you also have
blasting music and arguing on top of it.
Not professional and definitely not zen…

Never again. I had a 9:00 appointment through ZocDoc. When I arrived, they didn’t have my appointment, they told me the earliest was at 9:30 and the doctor would be in at 9:45. It’s now after 10:30 and the Dr Rosen hasn’t even bothered to show up at the office, yet.

Time for a new dentist. Waiting an hour and 25 minutes and counting. Moved into different rooms twice already. And just the office chaos. Enough.

Decided to try this office out because it was local & they accepted my insurance… Long story short, it’s been almost 1 year of waiting for them to submit the CORRECT information/​request to my insurance company & I’m still being sent notices that the office hasn’t submitted the proper information (tax I.D.) etc. Needless to say, my Dental Health is suffering, while they continue to screw up my paperwork. I’m not sure who’s to blame, but Michelle seems to be the person running the entire office, so what else am I to think. She’s very nice over the phone, but come on now… get it together, girl !! Desperately seeking an actual «competent» Dental office in Brooklyn.

Went here for a cleaning as a way of trying them out as I could already tell that I had a cavity. The cleaning was gruff (despite my mentioning my extremely sensitive gums) and it took less than 5 minutes. It definitely was not thorough, nor did it instill confidence in having my cavity filled.
The front desk staff, however, are wonderful, helpful and will go beyond to try and help patients. It turned out that I didn’t have my insurance information with me — they knew who to call and got my company on the phone for me. They were also on it about sending me copies of my x-​rays when I called to request them.
I’ve since found an amazing dentist who is state of the art, utterly thorough and detailed. And whose facilities are brightly lit. After going to her, I realized how dark the offices of Carroll Gardens were and have been wondering how they even can see what they are doing?

Worst dentist I have ever been to. I had a dental restoration/​crown done here after a root canal, performed by an endodontist at another practice. I chose Carroll Gardens Dental Associates because it was pretty close to my house and accepted my insurance. My restoration was done by a female dentist, not Dr. Rosen.
Only less than 2 years later, I started to experience a severe pain from the tooth. My current dentist, who is fantastic, discovered that the restoration was done very poorly and the surface of my tooth inside of the crown has completely decayed. I now need to extract the tooth, and it is a huge strain on my health as I am five months pregnant.
My current dentist said that my tooth needed a post and core underneath the crown when the initially restoration was done; however, the tooth was just covered with crown which caused the bacteria to enter and contaminated the remaining tooth on the surface.
I also had a dental cleaning done here, and it was literally less than 10 min. The dentist quickly cleaned the surface and nothing more. I am used to a thorough cleaning and check-​up by a hygienist, so I was very surprised.
Avoid this place if your insurance lets you go somewhere else.

This is literally the worst dentist I have ever been to. First, I brought my daughters for xrays and a cleaning, and had to wait almost two hours for them to be seen, and then we were supposed to be pleased that the dentist only spent 5 minutes (literally) actually cleaning my girls teeth. We then scheduled a follow-​up appointment because they found a cavity (I know, I should have know better, but didn’t want to pay for new x-​rays, take more time off of work, etc.). Things only got worse the 2^nd time around. One of the lady’s at the front desk was super rude, because we were late (I called to let them know and be sure it would be ok). Then they tried to fill cavities on my first daughter’s teeth (who had none and was there for a basic cleaning just because we were there already) because they had mixed up their x-​rays. I complained again, and they sheepishly admitted that maybe the x-​rays had been mixed around after seeing that the x-​rays didn’t include my 1^st daughter’s baby teeth. Then they gave my older daughter a cleaning (again only 5 minutes long), and sent her out. I asked why her cavity wasn’t being filled (the whole reason we were there) and I was told that they would not fill her cavity because she was 8 minutes late!!!

This practice is terrible in all ways possible. The cleanings (and fillings) are rushed and done poorly and the Dr. takes no time to explain anything to you. Not to mention that the staff is unprofessional in that they discuss things behind the Dr.‘s back. I’m also pretty certain they are violating all HIPAA rules as the week’s schedule is displayed to all patients while they sit in the chair and wait — including name, phone number and why they are visiting. I will be switching dentists.

I had a very bad experience. I was on time for my appointment, but waited around 45 minutes to be seen. I was there for a cleaning. Dr. Rosen came in and spent about 8 minutes cleaning my teeth in a haphazard fashion while simultaneously arguing with another patient about a fee on her bill. For the 8 minute visit, my insurance company was charged around $ 150. I would not return to this office.

The worst cleaning I have EVER had in 45 years of going to the dentist. It *literally* took them less than 5 minutes to clean. A female dentist came, spritzed a bunch of water around in my mouth, hastily polished my teeth with cherry polish (didn’t even ask what flavor I would prefer — definitely not cherry) and then called the cleaning over. No flossing, no picking at/​testing my old fillings. She didn’t even clean the plaque behind my front teeth. HORRIBLE dental practice.
Also, the rooms were ridiculously tiny and pretty grimy.
NOT RECOMMENDED. At all, in the slightest.

Didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Rosen. Everything was rushed, little was explained, and the cleaning was less than a minute. Seemed like he was miffed that I didn’t want to get a bunch of work done that day. He just left the room when he was done without saying anything. I won’t be going back and I don’t recommend this place.

I love going to see Dr Richard. Great guy always takes his time with you to enplane an procedures and make sure you are conferrable with all aspects of cost and procedure if your dental insurance dose not cover a 100%.

I have been going to carroll gardens dental associates since I moved to Brooklyn. Clean office, friendly staff. I usually Im a patient of the female dentist, who is amazing at making you feel comfortable with being at the dentist. I love this dental office. I highly recommend
