Carvel Cinnabon

It was my husband’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a cake. I was going to bake a cake but I realize it’s not economical because there’s only two of us and we can never finish the batch and rest goes stale and to waste. So I decided why not an ice cream cake because they definitely last longer in the freezer and couldn’t think of any better place to get them besides Carvel. Carvel has a lot of ready-​made cakes and it just so happens that they have the Finding Dory theme cake since the movie is coming out. However, they also have Finding Nemo option that’s in their catalog but not ready-​made. Personally, I wanted Finding Nemo because it absolutely means something for my husband (we have two clown fish that he adores) and knew it would be a perfect cake. I asked one of the staff if they have the Finding Nemo theme cake available and she said no but she said she can simply just replace the decorations on the Finding Dory with Finding Nemo. Brilliant! After 10 minutes or so, the decorator did everything I asked and it was indeed the perfect cake! And yay for the crunchies!

I went in and asked for a junior soft serve ice-​cream and the owner replied with «ive been doing this for 46 years, nobody should be selling you a junior size of anything because you are not a junior» FIRST OFF. who are you to be saying what I can and cannot buy? My children were in the car and they will NOT finish a small, medium or large. The only reason I was getting them soft serve to begin with was because i sampled two flavors from inside of the freezer and they were both old with crispy balls of ice in the ice cream. SO. if you’ve been doing this for 46 years and you’re so professional CHANGE THE ICECREAM YOU CHEAP SOB. Which is exactly why you didn’t want to sell me a junior size, because you thought it was for myself and you wanted that extra dollar, you’re as cheap and disgusting as they come. DO NOT GO HERE.

This carvel is one of my favorites! You never see a carvel that has a Cinnabon inside and they do. I mean who wouldn’t want to go to a carvel that has a Cinnabon inside.
The Cinnabon is always fresh tasting and you get that nice gooey taste when you cut a piece and just pop it into your mouth. It’s good to know they are always soft and good because sometimes when you go to Cinnabon they have stale ones out but that would never happen here.
All there ice cream is AMAZING! It’s all so soft and creamy and it’s like no other carvel. They have there own taste vs every other carvel and I would say they have the BEST ice cream! They also have a Cinnabon flavor ice cream that no other carvel has and I must say it is amazing! It taste just like a Cinnabon and it has Cinnabon pieces inside.
I love coming here when I’m in bay ridge it’s just a good spot to grab some desert and sit down with some friends.

This store is not just a Carvel franchise, but also a Cinnabon and David’s Cookies franchise. Even after splitting it into many shops, this place is still very roomy.
Their ice cream cakes are far more unique and creative than the other Carvels I’ve been to. They have plenty to choose from, perfect for all ages. Sometimes their cake décor get so carried away you won’t even have space to write happy birthday. But then you can write that on a little chocolate chip.
Very friendly service and also a bunch of candles to make sure your wishes come true!

Pretty much the only place I go to if I want a quick fix of ice cream in the area. My regular is kids cup Rocky Road for $ 2.25 — lots of crushed peanuts and marshmallows mixed into a pretty decent chocolate ice cream. They have BOGO specials for different menu items depending on the day of the week.

The best service… The staff is so friendly and sweet, I can’t wait to come back so many flavors to choose from I recommend the CHOCOLATE CAKE BATTER!!!

The ice cream cone was huge and old fashioned carvel, love soft serve! I went in on a hot day and surprisingly was the only customer. If I’m in the area I will come to this location again.

The caramel pecanbun is so delicious! I’ve come here before, but for some reason never wrote a review. Honestly I think I kept it to the back of my head because if I ate this all the time I would be so fat. Regardless, it is good to come here once in a while to satisfy your sweet tooth craving with your partner/​friend/​etc. Sharing is caring, but also it helps to only eat half the calories.

The staff needs a serious lesson in customer service.

Very roomy here! The owners, workers here are super friendly. Your ordinary carvel here, flying saucers, cakes, soft serve, and huge variety flavor icecream to choose from.

Clean and family friendly. I LOVED this place. Reminded me of Brooklyn thirty years ago with bustling crowds on the street and honking horns. I got the Nutella ice cream (YUM) and I bought a 4 pack of giant Cinnabons (steaming fresh YUM) AND i GOT two Cinnabon ice cream DASHERS OMG they were so good. I was in heaven. I live in Staten Island and am glad I do or I would be there every other night pigging out. Luckily the toll on the bridge is keeping me away. But not for long! LOL

A holdout of an era long gone, Carvel, the franchise remains in its current incarnation… co-​locating with Cinnabon. I never thought I’d see the day, but the match makes sense since both franchises can’t survive as a stand-​alone store.
This particular Carvel has been a staple of this section of Bay Ridge for a very, very long time. Local favorites like Fudgie the Whale, Cookiepuss, and flying saucers adorn their fridge as a testament to time. Pick one up today! The staff works hard but the décor and everything else appears dated compared to their modern day contemporaries. There’s also no room to sit around to enjoy dessert, but that’s to be expected. Soft-​serve and regular ice cream are readily available in an array of flavors. Having another ice cream parlor barely a block away hasn’t really helped matters either. We’ve bought ice cream cakes from here before. They have all the classics and the prices are fair.

We each tried one of the «Dashers» and they were delicious! As much as I love sweets, I would almost say this was TOO sweet, but perhaps if I hadn’t just eaten dinner I would have been able to finish it.
The staff were friendly and so was the owner, Joe, who happened to be there! This was my first Carvel experience and I will definitely be back!

I stopped in here the day before my Living social coupon was going to expire to use my $ 10. I ordered a caramel cinnabon with nuts and a huge two scoop of butter pecan icecream that was sooo good. The staff person was real friendly and the store was empty. I would definitely return again if I am in the area.

Love cinnabon… too much perhaps. Gotta stay away from here, far far away or else i will be a big fatty. But yummmmmm… Always good hot out of the oven!

There is no better soft serve than a Carvel swirl…

Not a bad place to stop in when you are craving some fudgie the whale or gooey cinnabon treats. Hopefully just not at the same time. One of the cleaner Carvels was remodeled a couple of years ago.
