I was a little put-off by having been turned away from this restaurant about a month ago by a waitress, citing an hour’s wait due to a special event. My boyfriend and I chose to eat at a sushi restaurant across the street, and observed nobody coming or going from Chris’s the entire time we were there. To us, it begged the question of whether or not their treatment of guests was preferential. However, I love their food, and I had the suspicion that this bad experience may have been a one-time freak incident, or that maybe they even encountered an unexpected issue during the hour I spent across the street, watching no special events commencing there. So, I returned. I feel bad about how harsh I was on them in my most recent review, but I truly had felt unwelcome. Having a one hour wait is understandable, if your restaurant is slammed, filled with reservations, or has a special event going on, but it just didn’t seem to be true when I saw the lack of eventfulness from my booth within the sushi restaurant. I’m here to say that whatever the case may have been, Chris’s more than redeemed themselves on my subsequent visit there. Things were«back to normal», so to speak. My waitress(who is usually the same person) was very kind and prompt with her service. The food was delightful. Yes, I’ve had slow service here, and yes, I’ve had disappointing occurrences; however, I feel my last review may have been a little too harsh. Sometimes, you just have to let the small stuff go. Truth be told, I still love this restaurant, and I will absolutely continue to dine here.

Came in for lunch, food is great. Huge portion. My highlight is the chris crêpe, so delicious. Service is great, but a little slow, only one waitress. Took 1.5 hour in and out. Will be back for more

Second visit even better than the first. Truly exceptional food. It’s always a good sign when the customers are of the same ethnicity as the food. They know what it’s supposed to be like and the place was pretty busy with a steady stream of those taking out for lunch. The vibe here is very relaxed and the food is just awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

They serve beef tartare polish style– so essentially ground meat mixed with spices and served with a raw egg over it and relish! I didn’t get to have it because I am not allowed raw meets but a friend that did got another order after the first. Lots of polish goodies — stuffed mushrooms are great! Only thing is — it was a little loud. Other than that we are definitely coming back

Waitresses here are all smiles and lovely. Service was great, food was delicious, and I can tell you readers now that I will be coming back again, and again, and again. Get the tripe soup, potato pancakes, pirogi and go to pound town ;) Location is conveniently located near the gym so I can pig out after a work out. Or maybe I should do it the other way around? Eh, both works!
