CityMD – Bensonhurst

I live in the area and when I noticed the construction, was very happy to see an urgent care center in walking distance. Since they’ve opened, my family have become regulars here. While we do all have our PCP’s mine and my son’s are quite distant from home. Not only is this center conveniently located for us, the staff and the care provided have been excellent thus far. My son is active in sports and has been in for x-​rays on his ankle and wrist. He’s been sick and brought in for blood work and other various labs. The best part is everything is done on site and results come back in a timely manner. They provide thorough notes on your diagnosis and follow up care. Plus, they call you in a few days to see how you’re doing. Who does that these days??? No more expensive cab rides to a 10 hour ER visit to wait days for results! I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of courteous, timely, and obviously… urgent care. Extra points for cleanliness as well.

I got sick a few days ago but it wasn’t too bad. I was able to hold out for awhile but had to see someone because i had a feeling this was the starting point of an upper respiratory infection. I a train stop away so I decided to swing by and after work and try the place out. It was a pretty damn good experience.
The best part about this place is that its walk-​in. Open early and closes late. I get randomly sick with very minor things so its good to be able to just pop in and right back out. The entire experience was about 20 minutes. I got there, filled out paper work (5 min), waited a bit because there were people in front of me (5 min) and then was led to a room where the session began (10 min).
Someone comes in to take your general info — Height, weight, blood pressure heart rate etc etc. Then the physicians assistant comes in for the more detailed stuff. I hope I don’t sound like a sexist here but my p.a. Emily was beautiful and, when she smiled, I just kind of felt better. She left, came back with the Dr Sergey. He smiled, shook my hand and got right to it. I liked his no nonsense attitude. I told him I didn’t use my inhaler when I had shortness of breath and he was like … Why wouldn’t you take it? Thats what its for!
Once they wrote me my needed prescriptions, he went to get me some meds, the p. a entered a few more notes, smiled (which made me feel much better) and I went out to pay.
If anyone is wondering, they use EMR. Their equipment is pretty on point. The place is immaculately clean which is a big change from the normal chinese doctors I visit. In case anyone is wonder, the bathroom is HUGE and clean.
I would definitely come here again for my random colds but would definitely stick to my primary health care provider for the regular stuff. I’m told CityMD is equipped to deal with bloodwork and other labs so I guess if I get into some shit and can’t get to a hospital right away, i’ll swing by here.

Pleasantly surprised!
I work not too far from here so when I woke up feeling like complete poo and my doctor was booked, I decided to give this place a go.
They had me fill out the intake papers while the woman at the front took my ID and insurance card. Within 3 min after filling out the papers and submitting them, I was escorted to a room. I complained of severe throat pain, chills and aches. They took my vitals, tested me for strep and flu which thankfully came out negative. The doctor said that I most likely have a really bad cold but doesn’t suggest antibiotics but rather OTC Tylenol.
Place is very clean and well lit. Each room has a tv so that you can watch while you wait or distract yourself when you’re getting a shot.

I caught the flu & felt like I was dying so I decided to come here. Staff is very professional & friendly. Office is immaculate. I was done within 20 minutes. Dr. Kahoun & the staff were outstanding! They were caring & attentive, asked thorough questions, & did some tests. They immediately called in my prescription to my pharmacy & I was able to pick it up on the way home. Super quick & efficient!

I came here on a Sunday and was in and out. I felt really sick with stomach pain and really did not want to go to the ER so I decided to try this place out since its new in my area. I came in and gave them my insurance card and ID and than they gave me paperwork to fill out. A few minutes after I gave it back I was called to go inside. They did the usually check up questions and asked a few questions and before I knew it the doctor was in. He asked me some questions and checked me out and he told me what to take for my problem and advised me to follow up with another gastro doctor. The doctor was really sweet and helpful some doctors can be nasty and rude but he was helpful and gave me some pointers. Next thing I knew I was on my way out and they even helped me find a new gastro doctor and they set me up with an appointment. They also gave me a list of some primary care doctors since I need a new one. If I needed to see a doctor fast and I couldn’t get to another I would come here!

Wow. I’m impressed !
Luckily when I came in there was no line. I was in and out under 20 minutes.
The office is very spacious and clean.
The personal was very friendly.
Doctor was awesome. Very thorough and my questions were answered.
I came in because I had a terrible cough. My primary was in midtown which was a 1 hour train ride.
Saved me a lot of time!

I’ve been in there for different medical issues and the Doctors and Staff are superb. No complaints. Its super convenient for me as it is by my house. It’s refreshing to have medical people who actually care about getting the diagnosis correct and then prescribe what’s appropriate for the situation. Keep it up.

This place was great! Went in for a nasty cough that was sticking around way too long. I’m the kind of person who puts off medical care unless I think I REALLY need it. I was in & out in 20mins with a diagnosis & prescriptions to go fill. I’m not insured and found their prices very reasonable. Dr Albertini and the rest of the staff that dealt with me were very friendly & laid back but professional. Definitely will return if the need ever arises again… But of course I hope it doesn’t

Being able to just walk in and have someone see you immediately without waiting for a lifetime is just plain awesome. The staff are awesome and friendly, the doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and was able to provide me with a diagnosis and prescription all in about 15 – 20 mins counting the initial wait and filling out the paperwork.
