Yesterday I celebrated my 40th Birthday at DIAMANTE’S. I invited friends I’ve known from I was 13 years old to the present. The staff and owner made the planning process very simple. They made themselves available to answer any question I had. They were very accommodating. The host for the evening, Natalie, was EXCELLENT!!! She helped the night flow seamlessly and I was able to attend to all my guests. At one point, there were about 30 or more guests at my party and Natalie seemed to effortlessly attend to anyone who had a question or needed assistance. I had a memorable night there. Thank you DIAMANTE’S and Natalie for helping to make my 40th birthday party one for the books!

Loved this place! Great venue, great atmosphere! Our host was so friendly and the icing on the cake was its BYOB! If you need somewhere to go chill/relax and of course smoke a cigar. I recommend Diamanté’s.

Love the atmosphere! Natalie was awesome and knowledgable in the various cigars they have. The vibe was chill and very relaxed, the music just fit right in with the mood of the shop. This may be my favorite go to cigar shop in Brooklyn. I’m currently smoking a vanilla cigar… I’m in love!!!

Stumbling around Fort Greene today with my camera looking for what’s left of the soul of New York City. I found it! Diamanté’s is a wonderful neighborhood cigar bar where everyone welcomes you like you’re an old friend. And the photos! The walls are covered with beautiful memorabilia and photos: boxers, distinguished old school gentlemen, old signs. Comfortable chairs invite you to take a load off. The TV was playing a game, but the volume was low. This joint is about chilling, smoking, simply enjoying life. I asked the very friendly(and cute) woman behind the counter for help with their hand-rolled cigars. She came around the bar and gave me the full rundown, including prices and strengths. She lit my $ 14 mild — it was excellent. Diamantes has been in business for six years. The good vibe reminded me of my old Soho cigar hang, OK Smoke(or was that OK Harris) on west Broadway. I mourn its loss as the city turns Disneyland on the Hudson into reality. I still see guys hanging out smoking in front of OK Smoke sometimes, the faithful honoring the dear departed’s loss. I mention that to a guy at the bar. He says, «Yea, we hang out there and smoke often.» I’m home.

Where do I start? This spot is extra cool and has a Boardwalk Empire feel! Now, the service! Natalie is a GREAT host! It almost felt like we were smoking cigars in her livingroom in 1932. Finally, the cigars are fresh and the staff knows how to suggest a good cigar for all smoking levels. My wife and I had a Great time!

Awesome atmosphere to come relax and unwind. Very casual and laid back. You can bring in your own alcohol and relax with friends or make new ones. Natalie the manager is incredibly knowledgeable about everything they carry. If your a rookie cigar smoker such as myslf she takes her time introducing you to everything without making it overwhelming. Definitely a spot i will be coming back to.

Such an amazing place! My 3 friends and I came after a night of bar hopping. As cigar noobs the employees were extremely patient and informative. The woman in the front desk hooked us up with a fruit blend cigar that tasted so good. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing. The place is also filled with such classy people. Diamanté’s really made my first time in New York quite memorable.

This is a real Al Capon incarnation sort of experience, the vibe is so mellow and the classic leather couches ooze a gentlemen’s cigar bar, had a sweet vanilla flavored cigar with a friend here. The service is well maintained with nice hosts, no alcohol, however they allow that you bring your own and charge a service fee.

The ultra cool cigar shop in Ft. Green delivers. This shop is a welcomed relief from the big city. Tucked away almost to the point of being hidden. An amazing selection of cigars coupled with an eclectic NY personalities made for a wonderful experience. The owner David, is more than helpful, oh and did I mention he is the voice of the Nets. An amazing collection of vintage boxing memorbilia decorates the wall along with cool leather couches and red lights. I came here on a recommendation from a trusted friend, needless to say this shop delivered.

A friend of mine and I were in Brooklyn(which we do not often frequent), and we decided at the last minute that we wanted to smoke some cigars. We looked up a couple of places and ultimately decided on Diamanté’s as it was open the latest. When we walked in, we weren’t sure what to expect and, to be honest, felt slightly out of place. But not more than 30 seconds after we walked in the door we were politely and enthusiastically greeted by David, who casually mentioned that he was the owner of the place and asked us what type of cigars we were interested in. We gave him a few preferences we had, shortly after which he recommended several cigars which were not only amazing but also very well-priced($ 15-$ 20). I could write several paragraphs on the quality of the cigars we had. In short, they were some of the best I’ve had. But what truly made our experience so wonderful was David. I’ve been to a myriad of cigar lounges, bars, restaurants and the like in Manhattan, but never before felt so welcome and cared about as I did with David. He cared more about us enjoying our experience and our cigars than he did making a few extra bucks. He could’ve easily pushed some more expensive cigars on us, to which we would’ve likely acquiesced, but he didn’t. And ultimately, that turned out to be a much wiser financial decision, as we intend to be repeat customers. On top of all that, David sat down and chatted with us for several hours right up until closing time(actually about 15 minutes past). If you are looking for an unbelievable and wild life story, I suggest you sit down and ask David about his. He’s got unlimited pictures on his phone to accompany it. To sum it up, this is by far my favorite cigar lounge in the NYC area. If you’re looking for a great time, great company and great cigars, you won’t find anything better.

I didn’t appreciate the random sponge on the mirror in the unisex bathroom with no toilet paper, but it was very cozy and had a good vibe. I met the owner who was quite a gentleman and very nice. He introduced himself and we were checked on from time to time to make sure our needs were met. My friend brought a couple of bottles and we just chilled to R&B and rap. In the end, I’d go again.

This is what a NY experience is all about. Spectacular place! We got lucky enough to meet David. What a great guy. Its people like you that makes me want to meet new people :) I appreciate a great smoke and a great conversation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. When ever you are in LA, you know who to call for car service. We will take care of you just as you did with us tonight. And, we definitely will have to go to a nice cigar lounge.

Dim lights, leather seats, banquets, wooden hutches… everything you would expect from a cigar lounge. Not that I’m necessarily an expert, but Diamanté’s is exactly how I pictured a cigar lounge would look and feel. The upside is that they have a good selection and are friendly and open to explaining the details to newbs like me. The downside is that if you do enjoy cigars and want to bring your own, they charge a $ 10 per cigar(not a one time fee.) I’ve heard great things about the owner Dave and I’m looking forward to meeting him one of these days and trying one of his own creations… for now, I’ll stick to my Java Latte’s or Chocolate’s(~$ 15 at this place). ***Edits: fee is $ 10 per person, not per cigar(if you bring your own) and the exact price of their Java is $ 14. Thanks for keeping me honest Jade M.

I frequent cigar shops since I go with people who are actual members at some in city and Jersey. This one is not where it’s at. It has so much potential but the wrong elements. Starting with the big girl they have sitting behind counter. I say this because if you have been here before, you’ll know. She’s lazy and it seems like answering questions is too much exercise for her far less taking out a cigar for you. Perhaps Dave shouldn’t leave his business in the hands of people who drive customers away. I have seen what people mean by it seems as if it’s a personal clubhouse. If so my apologies you guys should post a «he-man woman haters club» sign out front then. Also, the set up is wrong because you have to request the cigars instead of them being on display. Now to prices, they charge double for something as simple as a Java when the corner cigar store sells it way less and since I’m not getting the ambiance, whats the point? You might as well smoke in the square. The décor looks as tho it used to be nice but now it’s neglected and dusty. I could imagine this place being a go to if they get it together. Perhaps gentrification will force their hand.

Maybe I’m being unfair because I didn’t actually smoke here. Walked in seemed a bit shabby I felt like I was walking into a private hangout party of owner and friends and walked back out. Maybe it was a bad day.

I’m not a cigar guy. That is, I wasn’t one, not until I met Dave. Dave Diamanté is the owner of this fine establishment(not to mention the most interesting man in the world), and he introduced me to the good life. Sitting back in a leather chair, sipping on the smoke of a mild toro(Dave’s own blend),* shooting the shit… suddenly I understand why people love cigars. With dark wood paneling, tin ceilings, and the walls lined with old photos of Dave’s family, the space couldn’t be more comfortable. The classy lady behind the bar is named Dallas, and she’ll take care of you. They don’t serve alcohol, but feel free to bring your own and pay a ridiculously low corkage fee. If, like me, you’re not into strip clubs,** this is an ideal bachelor party location. Bring a few friends, a bottle of whiskey, watch a fight or a game and relax. I couldn’t even imagine a more inviting spot to chill out for a couple of hours. So head over, and don’t forget to say hi to Dave. He’s definitely got a story or two to tell, and a friendlier, more welcoming proprietor doesn’t exist. ____________ *A smooth, perfect introduction to the world of stogies. **I’m definitely not just saying that because my girlfriend reads these reviews. Definitely not.

Diamanté’s is one of a kind. I will admit that I’m not a smoker. I know nothing about cigars and I am the last probable person who should be in the room, let alone reviewing this establishment. But I had a good time at Diamanté’s and places like this should have their name shared. A few new colleagues of mine met for a networking evening. We started with drinks and moved to Diamanté’s after. The men in the group all grabbed a cigar and puffed away for a couple hours as we chatted. The seats are plush and deep, which makes long conversations here quite enjoyable. The game was playing, the music was good, and the ambiance is cozy, masculine, secretive. The staff were super laid back and friendly. They let us bring in some food and drink and were helpful about the cigar selection, which was pretty large. I think she even put in our food order for us. In addition, the bathroom is clean and a bit more well ventilated than the rest of the room. The people appeared to mostly be locals and everyone was friendly — it’s easy to start a conversation with anyone here. If you like a good cigar, I’d recommend making a stop in. But insert a surgeon general warning here.
