I can hear the crappy party going on down the street with my windows closed, three doors down, and up two stories. This place seems to exude a genuine disrespect of the neighborhood it lives in.

I was working on a feature film that was shooting exteriors in the area, and we were looking for a space that was comfortable, nice & clean for our three main actors. We called Double 6, and they were super helpful and communicative. The space itself is fantastic — super beautiful, elegant and in top form.
We loved their space so much. Asi, the owner, was very easy to communicate with, very professional and super accommodating to our needs.
The space is very versatile and a good studio space size. You can load directly into the stage, and the upstairs lounge area is very peaceful.
I will certainly go back to them in the future!

I rented Double6 Studio for a new year’s eve party. We wanted to have a cool space in New York city where we could do our own thing and ring in the new year on our own terms — with a group of friends and friends friends!
Negotiations with Asi, the owner, were very professional and respectful. We came to an agreement with ease, and from then on out Asi was extremely accomodative.
We had about 60 people there, a couple kegs and mixed drinks, and we played music for about 2 hours, ending the live music around 12 in time for a count-down. Then we switched to playlists of music and general dancing around.
There was plently of room for everyone, could have had more peolpe, and we had a blast. This is a very versitile space and I hope to do something similar there in the future! Thanks Asi!

What I thought was originally going to be a nightmare of a shoot turned out to be great! We shot 15 adults and 20 kids in a music video and there was enough room for everyone The space huge and beautiful and Asi was very helpful in helping us get set up… checking in on us as well to make sure all was ok… the location was amazing as well… I especially loved the 2^nd tier overlooking to get those Dif angles… all in all great place great management and greeat price! Highly recommend

We shot at the Double 6 Studio on Sunday, and I couldn’t be happier. Asi and his wife Sharon are wonderful and accomodating. They acted more like hosts than owners, and were really responsive via email, phone call and text. I got to scout the place twice because Asi, who knows the specs better, would be out of town and he wanted to make sure we really knew what we had use of. The little kitchen area and bathroom with shower en suite was really handy, and I know they’re making little improvements all the time. They also have a mechanical seamless paper mount from the ceiling, but if you want to use that, be aware that the ceilings are high and it uses a lot of paper just to get to the floor.
Sharon was lovely and checked in on us a few times to make sure we had what we needed, and was very aware of safety and not leaving the door unlocked while we went out for some location shots. Very thoughtful.
I’ll definitely shoot here again. Thanks so much for having us!

Spent three days shooting in Stage Two after constructing the set. The versatile layout of Stage Two allows for unique camera setups and spectacular shots. The owner is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. He is extremely generous with his time and efforts to make sure the process runs smoothly. This space is perfect for any type of shoot. I’m happy to use it again!

Had my opening solo exhibition here and could not have been happier with the space and location. The lighting is magnificent for paintings, installation, honestly whatever type of art you make. The owner is kind and generous. I know that this part of greenpoint will soon be booming with the arts — I am quite happy to take part!
