The BEST doughnuts anywhere in the universe! I have been going to Doughnut Plant for years in various locations around the city. I recommend it to everyone. I love the tres leches doughnut the best. The seasonal flavors are fantastic! I had some kind of orange blossom doughnut in the past that rocked my world. They are pricy, but they are worth it. You won’t be sorry!

Crème brûlée donut. Flashback to summer 2015 when I’d drive 3 miles for this gem as a weekly fix. And this gem would be the crème brûlée donut. *swoons* Yeast doughnut – soft, delicious chewy texture. The crème brûlée stands out with its classic vanilla custard filling and caramel flambé crust. Perfection.

Can we say amen and hallelujah to the Donut Fairy. I always look at this place and think who would want just donuts. Got in the store and then a crowd appeared. Everyone began laughing and talking like children do when they get a treat. I mean you just find something nice to say when you’re eating something sweet and yummy. lol. Their donuts tasted better than DD and KKIMO. They had a homemade kind of taste to them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a sweet tooth.

Bought a dozen donuts, two large boxes for family who lives in Philly. Decided to show these folks the highlights of Brooklyn. The Philly family reaction? It went something like this: Before trying: «Wow I’ve never seen anything like this» «Ok I’m starting my diet on Monday» After trying: «I think this is the best thing I ever ate» «I’m physically addicted to these donuts now» Yes, it’s true … You should definitely consider starting your diet the day after visiting this place. The choices of flavor make it hard to decided on just one but are worth every calorie! But if you have to go with one, I personally loved the dulce de leche. So delicious! Another added bonus, they have amazing coffee to accompany the sweetness. Try the flat white with almond milk

DONUTWILLNEVERBETHESAMEAFTERYOUTRYDOUGHNUTPLANT! I haven’t tried many flavors yet, but I am loyal to the coconut cream and crème brûlée. Their square filled donuts are priced at $ 4 and they do offer a $ 2 credit when you download their app.

Not sure what the buzz is. Yes, the flavors are slightly unique/edgy, but at the end of the day they were just donuts. Tres Leches was basically just sweet. Matcha donut was unbalanced — too matcha-y. Add that to the fact the place was about 95 degrees inside(we had to get to-go) and I cannot recommend it. Wife did like the coconut cream, or else is give 2 stars. All the reviewers declaring these the best in the world must’ve never been to Donut Hole in Destin, FL.

This place with the yummy pastries is located directly across the street from Sugarcane. The decision was made to go to Doughnut Plant for dessert. I had the Black and White and my friend had the Vanilla Bean«doughnut» and they were delicious! I made sure that I enjoyed a cup of mint herbal tea which completed my dessert on this semi-chilly evening. All in all, I was glad to have tried this place and will come back whenever I have the urge to do so…

Stopped in after dinner for a doughnut dessert and coffee. The espresso/coffee options are limited after a certain hour, if I remember correctly, so there was a tiny bit of a wait for my pour over — they warned me up front so I could make a free choice, which I appreciated. The pour over was amazing, and I loved the Brooklyn Black Out doughnut I tried. Everyone I came with had ordered something different, and we were all really happy. The service was super friendly and efficient. No regrets.

Oh my… this was SO.GOOD. Because I didn’t actually order, I basically needed to try everything in the two large boxes that showed up at my workplace. I’ve had a lot of doughnuts in my life, and these were among the very best. The combination of flavor, texture, and creativity, these doughnuts are top of the line. Since I tried so many types, I don’t feel the need to write about all of them. However, my favorites were: 1. Strawberry and Cream 2. Coconut Cream Yeast 3. Manhattan Cream There were a bunch of others that were really good, but couldn’t figure out what they were. I didn’t have a single bad one, so I don’t think you can go wrong here.

Thanks to my brother, I got the chance to explore the Doughnut Plant yesterday. God bless him :) The building looks like the flat iron building, at least to me :) When we walked in, i was sad to see more than half of the choices were already gone but as a chocolate person, I were glad to see the ’ Manhattan Cream ’ one so I did order that. It has white cream inside but covered with chocolate outside. My brother is a fun of ’ Crème Brulee ’ so he got that and my bf got the Peanut butter banana cream square donut. They do have a full espresso bar so whatever you like, you’ll have it. We ordered a latte, a macchiato and regular coffee. Donuts were gone in 3 – 4 minutes. So yummy they were. We had a prejudice that the peanut butter one will be a heavy one but hell no, it was simply delicious. Drinks took a bit long to be served but it only made us get another donut to try and one to go :) Loved their to go bags. Employees have positive attitude’ seats’ design is so cute, they do have a bathroom, they open early and close late, what else to ask? :) Try and you won’t regret !

Google this: Homer eating donuts in hell gif This is proof that hell is stocked with Doughnut Plant donuts. The yeast donuts are other-worldly. You can taste the yeast and kneading that went into the dough. They are gluten-y in the best way possible. The flavors are so fresh, vibrant and REAL, which is not what you expect at all in such a «common place» pastry. The strawberry yeast literally tasted like you were biting into the freshest, off-the-vine strawberry, only better — chewy and full of carbs. The cake donuts are the exact opposite. So light, so fluffy, and not overly sweet and dense like cake donuts can be. I usually avoid these at all costs, but these were worth the calories. The matcha cake was delicious as was the carrot cake. I only which I bought more of the other flavors. Greed($ 3.75+ a pop, I think the filled were $ 4), gluttony, lust all found here. Also! Buy 6 – 12 donuts and get 10% off. I bought a dozen and lugged them all the way home to California. Best carry-on ever.

How could anyone go wrong with doughnuts? This place definitely does it right. There was a variety of doughnuts(both round and square) available. They all looked so irresistible and it was difficult to make a decision. I chose the peanut butter and blackberry jam square donut and it was heavenly. It tasted like a PB&J sandwich, only 10x better because of the glaze, fried goodness of course, and diced peanuts on top. On the down side, it was $ 4(pricey I know).

I was walking in the neighborhood, then I spotted this well known doughnut café. Too tempting, it’s passed lunch time and I haven’t ate… I chose the Cashew & orange blossom filled doughseed. The dough is chewy, coated with an orange blossom glaze and covered with cashew nuts. Inside, there’s an orange blossom flavored cream. To me, this is the size of an average doughnut, but they call it a seed. And then I saw the Peanut Butter-Banana Cream-Filled. It’s gigantic like the size of a sandwich! Coated with peanuts and a peanut glaze, it’s filled with a generous amount of banana cream. Everything is huge here, from the doughseeds to the doughnuts. I like that their products are«made daily with the highest quality, all natural ingredients, no trans fat, no preservatives, no artificial flavorings, no eggs».

Great location, great donuts! I really wish I would’ve went with a filled square(when you see it you’ll know why) but I was super satisfied with the coffee cake donut we got. If you’re lucky enough to get seat you’ll be happy to sit down and enjoy your donut, but be warned you might be back in line to order another one. While everyone else is hitting up Shake Shack before the game at the Barclay, do yourself a favor and get a treat at Doughnut Plant!

I went from«I don’t really like doughnuts» to «Let me get three.» SMH. Favs: Crème brûlée(but you have to get a bite of the filling along with the crispy top in order to truly appreciate it), pistachio and the pecan beignet flavors. Vanilla’s pretty spot-on too. These little pillows of joy have a texture in between a dense, kind-of-dry more traditional doughnut and a melt-in-your-mouth, barely there Krispy Kreme doughnut. Bonus: There’s a flavor for everyone. I can’t wait to try the coffee and hazelnut doughnuts next. Downside: Very expensive for what is: flour and sugar.

Worth a visit just for the peanut butter & blackberry jam donut. I love jelly donuts, and the pb & jam is definitely an upgrade form your average jelly donut. The banana cream donut and the passionfruit donut are also worth a try!

True story — I’ve been calling this place donut planet. It’s plant not planet. Sounds strange know that I know real name. Anyways I always walk by but never go in. I saw on Instagram that Donut plant has valentines donuts, nice ones, not DD style ones. So I went and mind you, it’s my first time, so I’m thinking like yeahhhh I’m going to be blown away. I ordered two yeast donuts in shape of heart. One glaze and one chocolate frosting. I also got a latte. So the donuts were aiiiggt, nothing to scream about, and def not worth 4 bucks each. I was not blown away. I can get a wayyyy better donut from dough doughnut, or moes doughs, or Peter Pan. I also got a latte, it was more on cold side, and it was not bold. An espresso shot is supposed to smack you in the face! This was like a regular coffee. I watched him make it to and it was a latte, just not my type of latte. Too weak! Overall this place is just a name. Nothing more. They are not worth the money but something tells me to try more donuts. I might go back to give it another chance. Maybe.

Really not much more needs to be said about Doughnut plant — arguably the first ones who ushered in this whole gourmet/artisanal doughnut craze. This location is the one I frequent the most because I live closeby. Very close to Barclay’s Center and the Atlantic Terminal. The place has all the flavors I’ve grown to love — like the crème brûlée, tres leches, and the PB&J doughnut. However, none of these doughnuts are made at the site — they are actually shuttled back and forth via a van from their LES site. There’s an ever-so-slight difference in freshness because of that, but it’s mostly negligible. The place has some small triangular shaped tables along the edge of the store — you would think those tiny tables would discourage people from working there, but invariably you’ll see people on their laptops camped out there *shrugs*. One thing I like about Doughnut Plant is that they accept Level Up, where you can accrue rewards — useful for someone like me who probably eats more doughnuts than I should haha. Pro tip: if you happen to get there right before closing time, sometimes the employees will be nice and surprise you by packing an extra doughnut in your bag.

Amazing doughnuts! Solid classics all the way to experimental flavour combos. I loved the novelty of the world’s first square doughnut– mind-blowing. They stay good the following day aswell. For any vegans out there, they have vegan marshmallows(I honestly don“t know what they could be made of).

Was in Brooklyn visiting some family, walking around one morning and saw there was a Doughnut Plant shop. I’ve heard about this place, quite popular and I’ve seen them on TV etc, so we decided to grab a few donuts for a snack. Smells great when you walk in, it’s a small shop with a few tables inside and a long bench to sit outside. A lot of selections to choose from so we decided to try their holiday donut selections and got the Marzipan Donut and Chanukah Blackberry Jam Donut. If you like almond paste, get the Marizipan… it was tasty! The Chanukah donut sounded good too and the blackberry jam inside was yummy. Both were quite delicious, freshly made, sweet but a little on the pricey side for a donut. Forgot to take a photo of the actual donut because we just couldn’t wait and just chomped it up! They do offer coffee, tea, cold presses, juice/milk too. Glad we stopped by to try some of their donuts, will definitely be back. Staff was nice and bathroom code is on your receipt.

I like donuts. I mean who doesn’t like a good donut. Forget your guilty conscience just go in get one or two. We got the Coconut Cream Doughnut and the Peanut Butter Raspberry Doughnut. The Coconut Cream was good. A nice glaze of coconut cream over the doughnut. Not too sweet. Soft and gooey. The Peanut Butter Raspberry Doughnut was yummy. I like the peanut butter just glazes over the doughnut. I also like that there bits of pieces of peanut butter chunks. When you bite into it there is raspberry filling in it. Very good. Almost like eating a PBJ oh wait. it is. Very convenient location, just one block away from my work place. Will be back to try out other flavors.

Visiting this location of Doughnut Plant means that I have officially visited all locations in New York City! It is merely a 3 block off-track radius from Atlantic Terminal — LIRR station but totally worth the detour before boarding. I am super guilty of stuffing my face with doughnuts from here. If you were ever around seeing someone walking out of here holding a large coffee cup with one hand and holding a doughnut with the other hand and aggressively devouring it — that girl was probably me. As a recent convert to a doughnut lover, I was hesitant but eventually sold when I found out that the flavors are mostly fruity! Anyone who likes fruity flavors or fruit-forward food like me will definitely find a doughnut you will love here! I personally like to go with yeast donuts because I love the chewiness of it. Some of my favorite seasonal ones in the past were Lavender Flower and the Rosemary Pineapple. Crème Brulee donut is amazing! They are smaller in size but the cream custard in the middle oozes out every bite while the sugar layer on top gives it a perfect sweet finish. October specials includes the Pumpkin, Apple Cinnamon, and Candy Corn(which is really shaped like one!). Pumpkin was a delight to have. Glazed was spiced up with cinnamon and sugar while bringing out the natural flavors of pumpkin. Toby’s Estate Coffee is also brewed here, yes to supporting local Brooklyn goods!
