My experience with Eladias’ is a sad one. I recently went back to work and like every parent I know, finding proper child care is rough. I sought out a number of care centers and interviewed nanny after nanny. Finally, my fiancé and I remembered Eladia’s Kids is directly across the street from us so it was perfect! The only issue was deciding whether we would NEED an entire year for our now 7 month old son to attend the center. We have plans of moving so the $ 25,000 «tuition» for s mandatory 1 year contract was a big decision. With much thought we decided to contact Eladia and set up a tour; she complied through email and was thrilled to have me go on a tour, per her emails to me. On the day of my sons’ tour, in which the child is also required to be there, my son came down with a cold so I regretfully had to reschedule. In her email, Eladia was understanding and rescheduled my Tuesday appointment to Thursday of the same week, my son was still sick so I decided that I would go and explain to her and I had hoped that she would allow me a tour. Unfortunately She denied me a tour and looked me up and down and told me I am required to have my son with me and I would need to reschedule again. I felt mistreated somehow but I thought nothing of it and just explained away my paranoia and emailed Eladia as soon as I got home from work. Well it’s now a week later and I have not heard from Eladia. I’m not someone that will play the race card but being an African American woman that is educated and having a name that some may think belongs to some person of a different race, can be hard in a city like Brooklyn but I manage. I am upset and disappointed that I have been denied the opportunity because of someone’s narrow mind. I looked inside and I did not see a single Black child in the room! My baby is bi-racial; black and white and there wasn’t even a relatable face in the crowd. I have contacted Eladia as I have in the past and I have received no response. I am reporting the establishment to the BBB for faulty practices and racism. Once she saw who I was, she knew at that moment she would stonewall me and my family. I just want to say coming from CA, I have never experienced racism the way I do in NY… it’s derogatory and I don’t want my son growing up with supervisors who will make him feel the lesser of the bunch. My message to Eladia: ningún niño se le debe negar el acceso a un futuro mejor, debido a un pasado personas. Mucho Gracias and God bless.

Eladia has great staff. But eladia does not treat her staff with respect. She adds tension to the environment.
