I am really a fan after Christmas eve. The waiter there is great and so hospitable, really attentive and makes you feel like family. The food is great too, very fresh and delicious. I would go there again and again. The pizza is brick oven and fresh and delicious.

We enjoyed our Enzo’s experience but need to go back a few more times to get a true feel for it. Walked in at 8 on a Tuesday and it was empty, which did not instill confidence. Server came right over and was super nice and helpful. We shared the insalata Fresca, which had a nice mix of greens but was a bit overdressed — way too heavy on the balsamic. Waiter brought complimentary pizza bread with marinara sauce that I would have been into had we not ordered a specialty pie. Got the sweet sausage and broccoli rabe. Little heavy on the sauce, which made the last few slices limp, but otherwise a good pizza. Nice char on the crust and the toppings were plentiful. And I enjoyed dipping my crusts in the marinara which probably violates some cultural more but frankly Scarlett, I don’t give a damn: it was good. Pie was $ 14, quite reasonable. Wine was a very healthy glassful and the house Chianti was just fine. I’ll surely be back to try some pasta and a make my own creation pizza.

We arrived at 11:45 pm and they were still willing to make us 2 large pizzas and let us eat in the restaurant until 12 am so that we could stay out of the cold while we are. Not only was their customer service outstanding, but their pizza was out of this world. This was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. We ordered a large pizza with pineapple and chicken

Just ok. Have been here couple times, tried several dishes … If you look for ok Italian affordable food, it should do the work … but the neighborhood is full of good places.

We first discovered Enzos when my fiancé & I moved near about 3 years ago and since then it has become our go to date night spot. The food is Amazing! Seriously, after visiting Italy in March its one of the only Italian restaurants in the states that we can still enjoy. The prices are good for the quality of food and the service they provide. It’s such a small little Slice of heaven that we love introducing our friends and family to when they come around. I do wish that they took credit/debit cards but it also lends to the old school charm that its cash only and not something that would ever deter is from visiting.

Really good… Salads that looked fresh picked out of the garden, and plentuful. I am a pizza purest, Margherita is home for me. However, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone. Brick oven pizza w/broccoli rabe and sausage. Cooked to absolute perfection. Outstamding. I’m a huge fan of alioalia and it did not dissapoint. spaghetti with oil and garlic to the lay man. The only thing missing was a couple of my cousins. i couldn’t stop thinking of them and I wanted to share the culinary experience with Marsh, and Ted. we will be back.

I recommend this place do the community a service and voluntarily shut itself down. I ate a salad that looked like each leaf had been carefully removed from the garbage pail before serving, a soup so flavorless that I asked for tabasco sauce to enhance it(they didn’t have any), and a pork chop that was clearly frozen not minutes before… The service was laughable– like, I LAUGHED when they told me that«chicken» was one of the vegetarian soups they served… Look, most of all, what i really want to convey is that this place put me and my friend in a shitty mood for an hour after eating there… don’t make the same mistake.

This place only accepts cash. No one told that to us when we arrived. When we received the bill, I put my credit card down. The waiter said, «Cash only.» I had to run out to the car to grab cash. Although there is an ATM in the restaurant, they charge a service fee. I asked why there was no sign stating cash only. The waiter rudely said, «There’s one on the door.» However the door is propped open and the small sign is hidden/facing the wall. This was very cunning and deceitful and I don’t recommend this place.

I was in the mood for some brick oven pizza so I settled on Enzo for tonight. I would have preferred to go to grimaldis but it would have been out of the way for me. What a disastrous choice. I could not have a single slice without all the cheese, sauce and toppers falling right off the slice. I ended up eating the entire pie with a fork… WHOEATSPIZZAWITH A FORK?!? Sigh. Needless to say, I will not be back.

The pizza is so good, but it’s hard to go there because the wine list consists of red and white. and quite frankly, it’s pretty much the worst wine you’ve ever had. This restaurant needs to start accommodating the changing neighborhood. And that neighborhood requires a decent wine offering.

I had a really good time at this location, Great pizza, and really good homemade salad dressing! Four stars service, cute place perfect for lunch or dinner. Prices are modern.

I stopped going to Enzo’s 2 years ago when I received 3 spears of asparagus for their asparagus and Gorgonzola dish and when I called after picking my order up I was treated poorly. So, after a 2 year hiatus I just picked up a terribly burnt, dry, flavorless Grandma pie. I tried to avoid the terrible service and inept pizza oven guy at Sicilian by ordering from Enzo’s, and apparently it’s impossible. I would walk this pizza back over and ask for my money back, but I refuse to step foot into Enzo’s ever again.

Love this neighborhood spot. Welcoming and attentive staff, no frills, laid back atmosphere. Always get the pizza and the Avocado salad here. Those alone with the wood fired bread to start off with some marinara sauce is a perfect meal every time. Honestly for pizza at these prices, hard to beat.

Useless, unhelpful and then very rude staff serves up waxy cold pizza after insulting patron multiple times thus ruining her evening– would be the newspaper headline to describe this place. Pass.

Is it fair to do a Unilocal for a place that you have never actually been inside but have enjoyed the offerings from based on your friends partner running out to grab some pizza for us to enjoy while kicking back some beers at nearby Farrell’s? I think so and here I go. As I said I was catching up with a friend and her apparently new beau and after a couple of drinks he zipped out to get something to eat and brought back some slices from Enzo’s. The slice that I took was a meaty and cheesy bit of awesome. I am pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to pizza and judge a place by the way they make a plain slice. Since I had all these options on mine, which seemed to be some meatball with Riccotta cheese and I think sausage was in there too. Needless to say I devoured it and even included this photo in my celebration of National Cheese Pizza day. That said I avoided all of the«issues» that other Unilocalers have denoted but with so much negativity being posted I wanted to cite that I really did enjoy this slice and it beared mention. Since I didn’t site in the place and participate in how its area is or its staff I have locked in my review at a 3⁄5. If I ever get there to sit down for a little while I will do an update and let you know my findings.

When I first walked in the staff was watching a baseball game so intently it took them a few minutes to notice me. I should have known then they were not service oriented. Calamari, average. Pizza, pretty good! However, I was extremely upset when they served me my TENDOLLAR Caesar salad that I asked for the entire meal togo. I flagged down my waiter, he ignored me so I flagged down another waiter and was told the manager wasn’t there. I simply asked the second flagged down waiter, «Is this what you think a ten dollar salad should look like?» I was told, «I don’t know ma’am. I don’t know ma’am. Can I get your waiter?» I told him I flagged my waiter down and he nodded, then answered the phone and ignored me. I then asked for the manager and was told he wasn’t there. When my waiter finally noticed i was upset, he came over and i asked him the same question. His answer was, «Do you want me to take it back to the kitchen and put more lettuce on it?» I was then pretty sure that these people were uninterested in service so I asked them to pack my food up. All of the sudden, the«MANAGER» walks in, the one that I was just told 5 minutes previously was not there. Honestly, I almost lost it. All three men were looking at each other like I was speaking a foreign language. I simply wanted someone to look at the salad and acknowledge it was ludicrous. So, when I got home, I promptly took a picture of the food, exactly as it was without one single bite taken, decide for yourself. Oh and not taking credit cards? Come on NYC, we can all see right through your bs not wanting to claim all of your income. What other reason in this day and age could you possibly have to not take credit cards? Here’s some advice Enzo-Your service is just as important as your food quality. I’ll come back and try again, and add to my Unilocal

Alright it’s time for somebody to come out and say it. Here goes. ENZOSBRICKOVENHASBETTERPIZZATHANGRIMALDI’S. Now I know the 3 golden rules of business are: 1) Location 2) Location 3) Location. And Grimaldi’s is set in a great place — the park, the bridge, ice cream shop, lots of romantic places to spend with loved ones. But then there’s the insane LINE to wait in. I’ve eaten Grimaldi’s pizza a few times but’ve always managed to avoid the line by strategic timing. I can safely say that they have GREAT pizza — a little bit pricey, but hey. great locations command higher prices. But if you you don’t feel like waiting outside in a line for an hour or more full of other bozos, skip it and take a 10 minute drive(or taxi ride) or even a 20 mins subway ride) to ENZOSBRICKOVEN! Not to mention they are in a great location too(right near the west side entrance of Prospect Park). I’m honestly baffled as to why they aren’t more popular. They do make a decent amount business, but there’s NEVER a line to get in, even on the weekends. We haven’t really tried the rest of their menu — just the pizza. Our favorite is the«Romano Pizza»(image attached to this review). But all their pizzas are great. And like I said, I would go so far to say they are better than Grimaldi’s(and less $$$) — and without all the touristic crap, semi-rude(hurry up and eat) attitude. They also have a nice open-roof room to eat in back that not everyone knows about. On good weather days, they open up the roof, so you can eat with under the sky. On colder days, it’s like eating inside a greenhouse. They also have reasonably priced wines and some great salads(we love the avocado salad). So do yourself a favor: Save some time & money, eat better pizza. And after, you can walk off some calories with a nice stroll in the park with an ice cream cone. or even watch a movie(there’s a theater a few blocks away!)

I love the barese pizza! It’s my favorite in the world! Sausage, broccoli rabe, hot cherry peppers… yum! Service is usually good and the price is right. At dinner I’ve had some bread that they serve and that was good. I’ve had several pasta dishes and they were solid as well… also portions are large enough to take home. One time in winter I sat in the back garden area. They had a roof and heat lamps. The side of me by the heat lamp was warm. The side away from the heat lamp was cold. I felt like a McDLT.* A good place… worth coming back to the neighborhood for. Note: the shady picture of Morgan Freeman is no longer hanging up front. __________________________________ * here’s Jason Alexander in all his 80’s glory(with here) singing the praises of the McDLT
