Came here once to a private dinner to celebrate a friend of a friend b-day and I had fun. The music was catered to all. So if you ask the DJ to place the type of music you like he will play it for you. The service provided was good. The food was excellent as well as the drinks. They even give us a bottle on the house. Parking, however, is a b****.

My Saturday night out My friend and I were looking to spend a girls evening: drinks and something yummy to eat So we went in, as the place looked modern and inviting Pretty place But that’s about it Half of the items listed in a menu were not available From the ones that were actually available, description didn’t match the dish My friend ordered chocolate lava cake and it looked like it was literally taken out of pre-made frozen box, heated and served I ordered crepes with ice cream and berries … No berries! When I asked the waitress where are the berries, the answer was«the chef said he hasn’t been serving berries for a while«! Seriously? How hard is it to find berries in a summer ?! The drinks were not bad, but the whole food fiasco made the experience pretty sad

Quick review; 2 and a half stars. The vibe was chill and being that no1 was there, my group felt like we were having a private party in the lounge area. Atmosphere is chic. Beware of the mandatory coat check but it’s okay, it’s warm in there. Food wasn’t bad and priced reasonably. Shumai was a bit doughy. Wings were actually good. Dipping sauce for shrimp cocktail was to die for. Drinks are weak, I question if its knock off brand alcohol. Waitress attentive and accommodating. Until 2 other parties come in and you realize they only have 1 waitress for like 30 ppl! Overall, a decent time.

Drinks were super watered down and WHACK! Even the non-alcoholic drinks! Shrimp shumai did not really give me the bite that i wanted! Buffalo wings were fried spicy. Stay away from the sushi. The seafood was NOT fresh. The only thing that looked appetizing was the sliders. *24 hours later and i shifted my ratings from 3 to a 1*

I originally posted a 5 star review but now it’s 1 star. I wanted to return there because I loved the bartender and her service. She and the waitress were phenomenal. So I called to make a reservation for a group of friends. The man I spoke with on the phone, who said he was the manager, was horrifically rude. I will never ever go back there. I’m sure the servers are nice. But too bad they work with such an ignorant condescending ‘manager’.

The décor was nice, but god was it boring! What lounge is completely empty on a Saturday night? I bought a groupon to come and try this place out… mistake! They had barely any food selections, both food and drinks were overpriced, and it wasn’t all that great! Not the worst experience I’ve had but definitely could have spent my money somewhere else more worth it!

Really cool décor, staff friendly enough. The drinks were way to strong, prices are high especially for brooklyn. Overall not worst place.

I am giving Esquire lounge 1 star because of the guy who works here and answers the phone calls– he absolutely freaking sucks! I called a few days ago to inquire about celebrating my birthday. When I called I was caught off guard by a sniffling and harsh«HELLO» almost like i had no business calling, he sounded like a wannabe thug. I said«hi is this esquire lounge»? «Yea». Um… Wdf?! I’m like thinking wdf is going on? Is this guy on crack? Any who I start speaking and attempting to ask about making a reservation. The guy asked me for what date, and then said«ok I gotta call you back», and hung up. I was pretty livid at how unprofessional, non-chahlant, and rude this man was. At that point I just said forget it, but he called me back with in the hour… SIXFRIGGENTIMES. Again what DAFUQQ goes on I’m thinkin to myself. Since I missed all six of the calls I called him back, and he picked up as if he knew me this time. He started asking me more questions about the amount of people in my party, the time I wanted to make the reservation for, stuff like that. The only reason I stayed on the phone was because I wanted to hear what they had to offer for birthdays, if anything. After I heard that for every four people you need to purchase a bottle(for a reservation), and leave a deposit, I hung up on him. He calls me back«Hi my phone got disconnected» –_______– «Ummmmm no, actually I hung up on you when I heard that for every four people a $ 250-$ 600 bottle must be purchased». Seriously? This place isn’t that well established yet to be charging these types of prices for reservations. So silly and I have no intention of ever stepping foot in here!

I really like this place! My friends hubby hosted her surprise party here. The ambiance is nice, the staff was nice. Our waitress keep the bottles flowing and our glasses full. The food was cool too. We just had mozzerella sticks and chicken wings. The music was good as well. The DJ keep the hits flowing, I had a great time. I don’t know how it is on a regular night but for a small party it is a good space.

This place is the worst I’ve been in a long time. The food is horrible feels like from the day before. The service is terrible, came there with a bunch of friends, ordered a lot of food and liquor they tried to over charge us thinking that maybe we had too much to drink but we knew what was happening. we approach the owner and he was rude and nasty. All together was horrible. With the name like ESQUIRE they should not do the things they do. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOANYONE!!!

This place is either a hit or miss for you. For me, somewhere in the middle. I came here with two of my girlfriends on a Friday night. When we arrived, they asked us if we had reservations, which we didn’t. The waitress gave us a seat on the couches with a little table and two little chairs on the other side. Apparently that side was pretty much for cocktails when you want to sit down and have a drink. We ordered food and it was uncomfortable to eat since the chairs and couch was way higher than the little cocktail table. Whatever, not such a big deal. Their food menu did NOT have many selections. There was barely anything to choose from. Appetizers, salads, entrees and sushi. Their drink menu however was very extensive. For food, I ordered the organic grilled chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce and veggies. It was delish. For drinks, first I tried the passion fruit martini, which was okay. Second drink I tried was French martini, better, but more than one glass is too much because its too sweet. My friends ordered a California roll, baked salmon with mashed potatoes, and an arugula salad. I didn’t try the food but it all looked fresh and delish and the girls seemed to enjoy it. The ambiance they were going for this lounge was ‘manhattan hip’. It was nice and it did give off a manhattan kind of feel. This place had a good mixture of people, not only Russians like most places in sheepshead. The food was over priced, apparently they think they really are in manhattan lol. I liked this place. I’ll probably come back here just one more time with reservations to sit and eat like a normal human being.

Esquire is a newly opened lounge located on the Sheepshead bay Rd strip. I had the pleasure of recently visiting the establishment for a friends birthday party and overall was satisfied with the experience. Prior to even entering the lounge, the biggest problem was finding the actual building, considering there are/were no signs out front. What confused us more while driving around looking for the place, was a real estate for sale/lease sign on the 2nd floor. But after a few circles around the block, we finally found it and along with parking. The rest of the review will be broken down into separate sections of ambiance, drinks/food, service Ambiance: When we arrived at the lounge(7pm on a Saturday Night) it was pretty empty. Our group of 9 were seated in the back semi-private area. The layout of the lounge was very nice and spacious. The lights/music/tv screens on walls are a nice touch. The DJ arrived a bit later and was open to suggestions as far as which music we wanted. The music was not too loud, so conversations were never interrupted. Only minor thing that should’ve been adjusted is the strobe color light that got pretty nauseating. Other than that we were pretty comfortable. Drinks: They do have a large variety of exotic cocktails/mixed drinks, shots, wine and of course bottle service. The prices on drinks vary from $ 10 to $ 15. Overall the cocktails/mixed drinks were a bit light on alcohol. But in the end complementary shots for the group did make it up.(Thanks) Food: The food menu is somewhat limited. You have your choice of 4 – 5 items in each section(Salad/Apps/Entrees/Dessert). From the salads, we had the Cesar salad(most liked) and the Arugula Salad which was pretty interesting and tasty but over salted. Not sure why they would put salt on a salad with strawberry dressing/cherry tomatoes/baby mozzarella cheese. For the Entrée the group had the grilled salmon, duck breast and fillet mignon. The grilled salmon came on the plate with wild rice and was prepped just right(you get two salmon pieces). The duck breast did not come with a side but was juicy and not dry. And finally the fillet mignon which was about a 6oz steak(maybe less) and came with wasabi mashed potatoes. The steak was nothing special, though the fig on top was a nice touch, added to the flavor of the meat. For dessert, most of us finished it off with the crepes with ice cream, chocolate and fresh berries(fresh berries were no where to be found) and tiramisu. Both were delicious. The prices on the Salads ranged from $ 12 to $ 14 and the Entrees were from $ 25 to $ 35 and Dessert $ 9 – 12. I understand this is a lounge and they are trying to be fancy but the prices do not go with the quality/quantity of food. I am not saying the food was bad, I would just expect city quality food for the city price tag(is it not what they are trying to be?) Service: The service was great. The staff really made sure all of us were taken care of and were enjoying our time there. In the end all of us enjoyed our time here and would most likely return for another drink. Thanks to the owner and the waitstaff for a good time.
