Galactic Tiles

I have been working on a bathroom renovation and needed the work done quickly. Dennis helped me find exactly what I wanted and offered design advice, too. Very efficient and and friendly service and good selection, too. I ordered tiles and a new vanity/​medicine cabinet. Very happy!

I’m baffled as to why this place gets good reviews. I had a similar experience as Catherine K. It was really disappointing. Days would pass with no communication, no phone calls back, nor emails back. They acted like they were doing ME a favor by selling me cabinets. After weeks of not getting anything done, time wasted, I went elsewhere. For the most contemporary and cutting edge tile I went to Nemo Tile in Manhattan where true professionals sit down to help you design your space. Though their showroom can seem luxuriously intimidating (similar to Anne Sacks), it’s surprising because their prices are sometimes half of Galactic for the most gorgeous designer tile. For cabinets we were happy to go to EWood Flooring and Cabinet Corp in Sunset Park. They were friendly, efficient, and could get us the case of our cabinets (not the faces) in 2 – 3 weeks as these cabinets are made on site locally as opposed to made abroad. The salespeople at EWood were so friendly, I was in shock because my experience at Galactic was dismissive, at best. So for more friendly, fast, cheaper, and humane service, I was thrilled to bring my business elsewhere. Galactic never seemed like they wanted my business anyway. This is a lesson learned: If you don’t get good service from the beginning, chances are it’s not going to improve.

Recommended by a friend. Galactic has a wide selection of modern, contemporary tiles. Pricing is average to high. We got our bathroom and kitchen tiles from here. The customer service was great, reps don’t hover over you unless you need them to. They’re happy to give you design ideas but not pushy at all. Had some issues scheduling my delivery but overall a great experience. Will shop again for our next project.

Hummmm… Went here based on great Unilocal reviews but was VERY disappointed. After asking for help — the guy behind the desk was completely reluctant to get up off his chair and talk to us. After a few curt non-​answers to my questions he just walked back & sat back down. We looked briefly around and left got in our car & left. Ended up going to Classic tile & Marble 1635 86^th St, Brooklyn, NY 11 214 — WAY better customer service & great selection– I’d recommend you skip galactic & go to classic. Ended up buying tile for kitchen & our front entry way from classic.

Galactic Tiles was recommended to me by a friend. I’m so glad I went because right when I stepped in the customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The place has a big selection of tiles and the showroom is nice and clean. These guys know their stuff! Mike helped me pick out tiles for my kitchen. He had great advice and suggestions for what I was trying to build. After I put the order through I realized I wasn’t too sure of my measurements or my kitchen design so I wanted to come back. At this point most salesmen would be peeved but not the people at Galactic Tiles. They are super duper nice. Not once did I feel pressured to buy anything. Not once did they make me feel like I was wasting their time or asking stupid questions which I probably was. The experience with them was so good I decided to tile more of the walls than I initially planned. I called Mike back with the new measurements, he put the order through and I was tiling the next day!
In short: Big selection of tiles, nice showroom, friendly & knowledgeable staff, best customer service!

I have been planning the renovation of my small bathroom for months. In spite of all my research, I still was not totally prepared for all the options in terms of tiles. J. attended to me and was so accommodating which made this somewhat frustrating task easier. I would definitely return to this establishment in the future for my other renovation projects

I can’t say enough good things about Andy at Galactic Tile. I bought a ton of tile here during a major home renovation. Andy went above and beyond for me. I wanted some custom tile, he worked that out no problem — he also helped me track down a particular silicone grout that was hard to get. He was so professional and pleasant to work with. The showroom is clean, organized and varied, and if they don’t have what you are looking for they can probably order it (he ordered a few samples for me). I highly recommend this business!

Incredible selection; knolwlege and experience. Wonderful design boards and choices; went nemos, daltile NYC and ann sachs. This place tops all and my bathrooms came out fabulours. The service is exceptional. Would not bother going anywhere else for my tile in the future. Tommy and Andy wonderful service and when you run short; they deliver in days; not weeks.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I went to shop at Costco and as we were leaving she noticed there was this tile store across the street.
She mentioned to me that her parents wanted to remodel their kitchen and wanted to more information.
My cold cuts were in the trunk but upon seeing her enthusiasm and despite my reluctance, I gave in. what can I say? I’m a sucker for love. Once we walked in my eyes were affixed on the showroom space. Contrary to my presumptions, the store being located under the ol’ BQE, it was spacious, clean, simple and elegant at the same time. We were greeted by the salesperson Timmy, Tommy or something of the sort. Offhandedly, I told the guy were just browsing and the salesperson seemingly undiscouraged by my remark. He began making small talk and proceeded to answer all of my gf’s questions. He sounded eager to extend his knowledge on interior décor. The manager Mike was there also, he gave me his card and was kind enough to show us around even though he knew were weren’t there to buying anything. We were there for almost a full hour and not once was I subjected to a bit of sales pressure. All in all, she found exactly all that she was searching for and my experience was pleasant and insightful. Upon leaving, my girlfriend was also provided with some samples for her parents. There aren’t many businesses like this anymore, to walk into a place and browse and willingly want to come back, based solely on customer service alone. According to her, we will definitely be back. When we finally arrived home, I had my sandwich made and served to me with a pickle and a cold beer. Win-​win.

Upon renovating my house, I was recommended to go to this tile place in 3^rd ave called galactic tiles and was told it couldn’t be missed because it was across the street from Costco. I had searched many places to have all the tiling i needed from bathroom walls, flooring, countertops, outside foyer to kitchen cabinets and fortunately for us we found all of this right in Galactic tiles.
They have a really beautiful and varied selection which my wife and i was immediately impressed and the knowledge the staff had was excellent and super friendly. They all seem to know what they were talking about unlike the huge super stores like Home Depot or Lowes where they hardly know anything they are selling. It was even more helpful, that they follow up with trends and see what your style leans towards to give me advice and recommendation. We actually followed all their suggestions and got a great price for all the stuff we bought! Our house is beautiful and received uncountable amount of compliments with the choices and materials used. Would definitely recommend to at least check them out and meet the staff.
