I love this place for breakfast, sometimes I wake up much earlier than intended and when that happens the first thing that comes to mind is hue is divorciados. That’s eggs with rice and beans over a crispy tortilla with two types of salsa. Get that in your face and you’ll be feeling fine and ready to start your day, or go back to bed like I like to do. And get the fresh squeezed orange juice, it’s the same price as carton orange juice.

This place has great tacos and the guacamole is to die for! It’s not as great as what you could get in Texas or in Mexico, but it’s as close as you’re going to get in NYC. Definitely give it a shot!

Been going here for years! This place literally has everything but I love their tacos for sure! This is the«I don’t feel like cooking but I’m really hungry» spot haha. Never had a problem with the food either.

giving this spot 3 stars for the shitty service and not enough toppings on the nachos. They were so dry, had extra chicken and just a mound of guac. don’t get me wrong, I love guac but cmon… where’s the sour cream? where’s the cheese? where’s the pico! Definitely won’t be coming here again. unless it’s like a death or living situation. the service was shittty because the women kept on talking and eating and they were definitely not paying attention to their tables. There was this one table where our waitress kept sitting at and was talking to them, I guess they were her friends but cmon… there’s people waiting to be serviced. she didn’t even check up on us, and I had to ask for straws… lol seriously? just no.

#This place is great to go with friends late at night when everywhere else is closed. They have food and beer and it’s pretty cheap. The only thing I like here is the #Chicken Burrito with Guacamole though.

Love the guacamole and tacos here — you can get a whole meal for $ 10 a person here.

The nachos were disgusting. It was American cheese slices layers over soggy chips with gross cold beans and some sour cream over it. Very disappointed and even when I sent them back they came back just ass bad the second time

Best tortas around town. Beside a stand on the north side. Definitely should order the breaded chicken. But it ends there. Everything else is mediocre. I really hate that they take their own tip. Even when you order for pick up. To me that doesn’t make sense why would you take tip when I’m just picking up. Allow me to give it to you. Only place I know that does that which I feel it’s disrespectful to the customer. I’ve eaten there one time the service sucks. It took them 45 mins to come back to us just to refill water. And when we sent food back they took awhile to take it off our table. The upsetting part was when our check came they automatically took $ 18 for their tip. Something they didn’t deserve.

Food is ok, but this is the first restaurant the waitresses tip themselves using your credit card, even though I left a tip in cash. I had to go to my bank and fight the amount they took which was $ 12 with some change. The waitresses there dont deserve that much just for one person, if it was a group of people I would understand. I had to go to my bank and fight to get my $ 12 back cause it was literally taken away without my permission. Basically if you’re going there go with cash. DONOTUSEYOURCREDITCARDS. They will steal $ from you. Also I noticed that they treat«latinos, blacks» very bad. Once a white person comes to eat the waitresses treat them like Royalty. Which is very unfair.

I frequent this place a lot But today I have to say how disappointed I am with your place today. Tamales — were literally like dog food. Had to throw them out! And the quesadilla — what kind of quesadilla has lettuce and veg on top. Hello I wanted a chicken and cheese quesadilla. Also why the hell is a quesadilla 9.00 — talk about inflation — Also the chicken tacos were super weak! Please not to sure what happened with the pass cook but hire him back!

The service here is terrible. Consistently terrible. The food is mediocre at best. Worse than the service, their billing is very shady when you pay by card. They automatically add on an(excessively generous, even when *not* considering the terrible service) gratuity to your bill and present this as the final amount. Then, when they return with the receipt for you to sign, the receipt reflects this already-tipped amount, *with* another field to add in more tip. It’s very sneaky and easy to overlook if you’re not paying attention. Not cool.

A Mexican place that splits the difference between a taco establishment and a dinner, Morelos has been churning out tacos and tortas long before I moved to the neighborhood and I think they’ll be here long after I depart. It’s open all night, so whenever the tostada craving strikes, you can come up here. Considering the other options in the area include the god-awful Isla Cuchifritos and the pervy spin the bottle bar, it’s nice that this place is here. In the middle of the day, when New Mexico Place is open a couple blocks down, it’s not the best option in the area. There the spicing is better and balanced. Here, in the tradition of dinners on both sides of the border, calorie bombs dominate the menu. In the Bradt guides to countries in far sides of the world, they name their second category of hotel«cheap and cheerful.» With the gecko stencil on the door and the lights always on, that’s a pretty good way to describe Grand Morelos.

Great food at really cheap prices especially for the area. One of the best shrimp burritos I had. And they have a bakery in the front with a burger-shaped birthday cake! Also«Quiet possibly the most delicious torta I had in my life!» — said my special someone and he knows his torta.

24 hour mexican food diner. Please love me forever. I want to marry Grand Morelos. I will be monogamous to you, and YOUONLY. This place is fantastic. The food is fresh and I am always satisfied. My favorite thing to do is come to this place kind of inebriated and then come back 4 – 5 hours later hungover. It really cures any drinking related ailment I might have. The chilaquiles are spicy and DELICIOUS. The tortas are incredible. Burritos? Out of this god forsaken world. I’m addicted to their chorizo. It’s just the right amount of spicy to make you tingle but not enough to make your face to melt off. Which is fine because I need my face in my wedding pictures to this restaurant. The fresh orange and carrot juice drives me just absolutely wild. I love it so much. That fresh pulp in there? Sign me the F up. Don’t pass up this place. Just don’t. You’re gonna fall in love and try to take me away from my happy marriage partner.

Some stipulations: I have only eaten off the Mexican part of the menu and I have only come here on late nights, taking advantage of it being 24⁄7. I have not tried any of their baked goods or larger plates, so my review is not comprehensive. In short, you can’t beat how inexpensive and convenient this unique diner is. The burritos and tostadas really hit the spot after a long night out.

I used to love this place. The burritos are great and really cheap and the carnitas is near amazing. BUT last two times i came i braught two seperate people and they both had chicken burritos. Both times both people got sick and threw up after the meal. One time is questionable, but twice to two seperate people is unacceptable. Get in there inpector!

I love their carrot cake! And I used to say I hate carrot cake. C. R. E. A. M. –Chocolate rules everything around me. For real though, the icing is amazingly sugary, in a not gross way, and the dough tastes homemade. We also ordered the lengua burrito which wasn’t greasy like many places make it and it came with a good portion of meat. Overall tasty. I guess I’ll say one of my favorite local spots

*update* Someone named Tim M from Manhattan asked why I would order oatmeal from a Mexican restaurant. My answer is: 1. It was the morning 2. A full breakfast menu is offered all day at this restaurant, from Cereal, to Pancakes & Grits, if it is placed on the menu, my expectation is that it be cooked & served correctly. 3. This place is known for its area of expertise, Mexican food, but it’s not limited to Mexican food.

I’ve ordered from here a few times from seamless. They deliver in less than 30 minutes, and the food comes pipping hot. The Mexican platter specials are one of the best deals in the hood — a burrito, taco, rice and beans for less than 10 bucks is pretty off the charts. The food isn’t the best I have ever had, but for the price and quantity it is a good bet for cheap eats. Also, their breakfast options are really on point. The Huevos Rancheros are great, so are their chilaquiles. Final plus is they serve everything with a spicy green sauce that is almost as good as Sophie’s Cuban.
