Following a severe fractured ankle, my dictor recommended this horrific place for my rehab. Although the therapy was good, we were packed in like calves to the slaughter. Therapists are constantly maneuvering for space and the equipment, most of which is old and broken has to be adapted by the therapists yo be used. The food is an abomination, tasteless colorless and more often just a lot af carbohydrates. Nutritionists have no control over the kitchen, and can only tell you that they write things down that are never adhered to. If you are toothless or have a swallowing difficulty and have lost your tastebuds, feeling or mind… This might be the place for you. The elevators are soften broken and the wait to be maneuvered into them to get to therapy on time is ridiculous. There is a shortage of staff who spend most of there time writing in your chart in an af fort to justify all the billing to your insurance company or ads they all say, «The state is coming.» I say bring them on and close the place down, or make the owner eat the food they really serve and sit on the rusted commodes.

I have been waiting an hour and a half for someone to help me to the bathroom and get dressed as I write this. Still no one is coming

After falling, the hospital that treated my mom recommended that she be placed in rehab so they can help her get the therapy she needed. I chose haym because it is very close to where I live. This place is awful. They place all of their patients in a wheelchair and they all sit in the wheelchair in the cafeteria all day unless they are taken downstairs to their PT or OT apps. If the patient needs to use the restroom, they have to wait for an aide which will take 1 hour before one arrives. They will not let patients rest in their rooms. The patients must sit in the wheelchair in the cafeteria. They also claim to shower their patients twice a week which is not true. Sometimes they will skip the shower but when questioned, the nurse in charge will say that her chart indicates a shower was given. Let’s just say that by the end of her 3 week stay my mom smelled very bad. The food also gave her diarrhea several times. Also, my mom is diabetic and needs insulin. Sometimes the liquid from the insulin shot isn’t even injected into her. They take out the needle so quickly that the insulin is all over the table. Sometimes they give her insulin without checking her blood sugar levels. My mom actually passed out overnight and they had to give her an injection of glucose so get her conscious again. Since my mom was constrained to the wheelchair all day, I would try to walk around with her in the hallway when I visited but the nurses would yell at me. When I complained they said that they take her for walks and when i said that wasn’t true they asked how would I know since I am not there all the time. the condition of your loved one will certainly deteriorate here.
