Only two food servers and the line is a mile long. Very poorly managed. Processed tasting food.

The store manager of IKEA Brooklyn should be fired for the condition of the restaurant. Was here on Sunday evening and the seating area was absolutely filthy. It took quite a bit of time to get through the food ordering line because there was only one server working the line. The state of the kitchen service area was disgusting, with used materials all over the place, discarded boxes in a heap near food service, no particular urgency towards the cleanliness of the kitchen and finally the server serving up a heaping dose of Brooklyn surliness as she slopped the meatballs onto my plate. If I were the Brooklyn store manager I’d be embarrassed at the sight of things.

It’s no secret ikea has shopping down pat!!! I love this place, did you know they serve salmon? It’s not Felida’s lol but it and other entrees were good, they know how to get you too so alllllll dsy lol Friendly, mostly knowledgeable staff. Made it easy Love the self serve option!!! Home delivery on time and no damage. I’ll be going back for sure!

I absolutely love ikea fries and their Swedish meatballs. The fries are be nice and crispy with very little oil. Their meatballs are always a must get with the mash potato. The reason I’d give this 4 stars is because of the service and staff. They are very lifeless and have miserable faces.

It’s ikea food so I don’t understand what people expect… You won’t get a high quality meal at ikea! But desserts are pretty good :)

I came to Ikea helping a friend who was moving and never knew about the phonom that is the Swedish meatball. Delicious. I’m not sure if was the sauce, which is some kind of gravy concoction but there was a wham of flavor and richness. I almost went up for a second helping but then thought better of it. That richness must pack a few calories but so worth it. I’m coming back just for the meatballs. I’m totally serious.

The food here is the as the furnitures — industrial. I had the meatballs and a wrap, they were tasteless. When you spend few hours here, naturally you will be exhausted and you will need some fuel. My best advice to you will be take the chocolate or bring energy snack from home. It is ok that they offer guests the option to eat here, but I think they should hire professionals to make their own food. Like a shopping center that allow restaurants to open a place in their place.

It’s IKEA food, what do you expect. If you’re an IKEA Family Member, you get free coffee/tea! If you frequent IKEA often and drink either, I’d just join, as it’s free to join. The swedish meatballs are good. Yeah, it’s mushy mystery meat. Yeah your lingonberries get mixed up with the gravy. But overall, it’s filling and addicting with every bite. Their workers are miserable, and look like they don’t even want to be there. I’m not even talking about customer service, because I don’t come to IKEA expecting service, but having worked in service several years, it’s really apparent that the better your company is at taking care of their employees, the more it’ll reflect in the workers’ attitudes. And IKEA shows nothing but negativity, so that speaks volumes of its corporate beliefs.

Stopped in for a bite while shopping. We both had meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, and lingonberry jam, all of which was lukewarm but tasty nonetheless. My husband enjoyed the cream cake and the chocolate overload cake(not a misnomer — it’s huge) was decent, too. We were both pleased with the coffee, which is free for IKEA Family members. As other reviewers noted, the service isn’t especially friendly, but you can’t beat the price and convenience if you’re already there.

The staff here seriously hates their lives, and it’s reflected in your entire dining experience at Ikea. I don’t come here expecting a 5-star meal(just fuel for the 6 miles I’ll have to hike later), but basically every experience I’ve had here has been soured straight off with the apathy and attitude that the cafeteria employees exude. No smiles, no thank you’s, no customer service. Just glares and servers yelling at you if you don’t move fast enough. Food slopped on plates, disorganized self-service areas, and a whole lot of rudeness. Food is typical Ikea, maybe a little sadder and less carefully prepared than at other locations. I’m also upset that they no longer offer their salad bar, just tiny, prepackaged, wilted iceberg lettuce. Otherwise, it’s just fine for a quick bite to eat before getting lost in the labyrinth that is Ikea.

Still love ikea even though there’s not many new things. They really need to start making new designs and patterns for the accents. This location is great because it has a huge parking lot. The lines can get really long and some times the stuff is really messy.

How is it possible that a furniture store makes food better than actual restaurants? Their Swedish meatballs are the best along with the baby back ribs. I simply cannot resist them every time I go to Ikea. They came up with veggie meatballs and chicken meatballs. In my experience the chicken taste almost identical to the regular one and the veggie one tastes like a falafel to me only without the crunch. They often have the promo where you eat free if you buy $ 100 or over in furniture stuff. I usually take advantage of this and eat as much as I like with my bf. Even without this deal I still swing by once a while just for their food. Their kitchen staff made the 5 star review into a 4. They are often rude and their expression shows they hate their job. It’s a constant long line of serving so eh. I just came for their food their service can’t mess with the quality of their food… even though it’s frozen stuff. Dessert menu options are wide… even wider than the actual entrée menu. I usually get a cream cake. the pink round thing… because it’s the lightest in sweetness of all the desserts they offer. I find the rest to be too sweet with not a lot of flavor. The Apple cake disappointed me the most.

Not bad for the price. And what made this even better was the special deal they had going on from July 3rd-5th where you get a coupon with your purchase receipt. After getting said coupon which contains the purchase amount of the food, you take this coupon with you and if you shop for more than $ 100 worth of stuff, the food cost is taken off your bill! So either way you look at it, the food or the furniture was free! The food was not that great but the fact that they had this deal going on completely made up for it

Yes!!! The food! The Swedish meatballs the ribs! If you are an Ikea member you get special combos. The dessert is pretty good especially the mango one. If only there is more locations. Space is not an issue and when your done with your tray you place it in a special crate area for all dirty trays. It totally remind me of college. Very dinning hall/cafeteria system.

We love eating here whenever we furniture shop or crave their Swedish meatballs! Unfortunately, the first time we came(it was at night time), they said they ran out of Swedish meatballs so we had to resort to salmon and green beans(which was not bad). The drinks here are diverse and I enjoy trying their Swedish pear and other flavored drinks. The service is on and off at times. Sometimes we are treated so kindly but other times we may feel rushed(especially if there is a long time). The cleanliness needs to be better but that all depends on the teamwork of the customers(the food prices are low because it is a cafeteria-style setting, where we clean after ourselves rather than having wait staff). They also have an assortment of cakes, chocolates and sides. I also like how you can order extra meatballs(if they are available)!

My friends and I decided to stop here for lunch before looking around the store. I settled for the Swedish meatballs with lingonberries and mashed potatoes. The food itself wasn’t bad. My friend got the chicken tenders and fries. Fries were a bit on the hard side but still edible. Other than that, this is not a bad place for a quick but when you go shopping here. PS: I also got the frozen yogurt and hotdog later on. After all this time, I thought the fro-yo was ice cream lol

The experience of a bird flying by in front of you while smearing the famous meatball in some lingonberry sauce around your plate, wild. Oh, did I mention there were other birds, hiding out above the ceiling, chirping away waiting to clean the leftover crumbs off the table? At least the Chocolate Cake makes it up.

The food here is cheap and tasty! I happen to live nearby and this is where I come to study on weekdays. It’s fairly quiet and the view is great! Another perk of studying here is the free wifi, refillable coffee and tea, oh and did I mention the fluffy chocolate cake?!
