Cute mom and pop custom framing shop — very knowledgeable with great results. Have had many things framed over the years with Yang. She evaluates the piece and asks about the room and home décor before she makes suggestions. I might need to explore some other options but inevitably I almost always go with her first choice. Delightful every time!

I have had dozens of things, large and small, framed at both of Imagic’s locations over the past ten years. Her taste and recommendations are impeccable and I have never been anything less than delighted with the results. It’s an added bonus that the whole family is lovely and I can support a local family-​owned-​and-​run business in the process. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. The framing work has always been solid and they are a super-​nice family run business.

Love these people. They have framed every piece in my apartment and do a great job. Take a lot of time working with you to find the best mat/​frame combination for any given print. Husband/​wife team runs the place and they are nothing but pleasant and helpful.
I’m just bummed that they stopped developing film and taking passport photos. I repeat, if you are heading over there for your passport photo, they do not take them anymore!

Just wanted to point out that they no longer do any kind of photography services — my husband and I found this out when we came in with a bag full of disposable cameras from our wedding we wanted to get developed. So don’t come here if you want passport photos, film developing, etc.
However, this IS an awesome frame shop. Though we came in for developing, we wound up leaving with two pre-​fab frames for our wedding and honeymoon pics. Pleasant surprise! They have a great selection of pre-​fab frames, though I haven’t used them yet for custom framing work. Still, nice people, good store. I’d recommend.

Over my 6 years in Greenpoint I have had 8 fairly large pieces custom framed by Yang at Imagic Studio. She always gives suggestions to make the final framed product look fantastic. I’ve used custom framing shops in Manhattan in the past but the final product never looked as good as Imagic, the staff wasn’t as friendly and the price was higher. I have sent a few friends to Imagic over the years and they always thank me for the recommendation. I honestly wouldn’t use anyone else for my custom framing.

I love this place. Both people that work here are really nice and helpful and they do a great job. If they think something you want is going to be ridiculously expensive or hard to do they let you know first and offer reasonable cheaper alternatives. Great family run business.

the framing job wasnt right so i took it back, i was told that i «didnt listen» and it was my fault that the framing job was off.
i had to pay for the adjustment and was made to feel stupid — extremely rude service.

Rude grouchy old man. Went in for passport photos and he yelled at us. Awful.

I go here for the inexpensive, quick film developing. $ 7 for a roll with no prints (just the CD) compared to $ 10 at most places in the city. They’ve never taken longer than 2 hours, and I’ve never had an issue with any of the 5 or so rolls I’ve had developed there.
My only complaint is that they’ve been closed the last three days without notice on their window. So I haven’t been able to pick up my photos, making me late for a client. A bit annoying, but it is labor day weekend.

Quite simple the best service I’ve had in years. Had a huge photograph framed here and from the minute I walked in to when I picked up my perfectly framed picture the whole experience was great. Thanks Yang!

This place is GREAT! The prices are totally reasonable and the prints look amazing. I came back here with my girlfriend and she got a bunch of framing done and it all looked amazing.

Maybe it’s too hot, and maybe I am cranky, but pretty unimpressed by this place. Perhaps their framing is great, but I went in for printing and left fuming. I dropped off a CD of large files, was told they would be ready the next day and when I went to pick them up got a list of confusing contradictory reasons for why they weren’t done — at first he said it was a copyright problem, which it wasn’t they are my images, have had them printed this way many times. Next it was that the files weren’t jpgs or tiff, which they were, they were all tiffs. And lastly it was that the files were too big, yes, they were big files, but he looked at them when I dropped the cd off and didn’t seem to have a problem with them then. If you can’t print them for whatever reason, fine, but don’t waste my time with bulls#@t excuses.

Excellent little spot for custom picture framing in Greenpoint. We got a semi-​complicated custom mat and frame for a pretty large piece for a little over $ 250. There is a good selection of framing options to choose from and the owner worked with us to find the right match at the right price. They also have a great selection of standard-​sized frames if you don’t feel like shelling out the cash for a custom job, many of which are available for less than $ 20.
To top it off, the owners are super sweet, really enjoy framing and have been in business for more than 20 years in the same spot. Support this great local business!

I’m an avid analog photographer without much experience printing my work. I’ve been to print space and really appreciated the quality of digital prints I got, but today I needed a print quick for a gift, and as I live in greenpoint I decided to give imagic a shot. I called first — can I bring a flash drive? Yes. Can I print a square 4×4? Yes. I went in a bit later and to my surprise the gentleman set to work printing my file immediately. Within 10 minutes I was out of there with two prints of a BW 120 shot to my specifications. Total charge? 2 bucks. All in all, I got extremely competent while-​I-​waited service and a rock bottom price. I’ll definitely go back. One more score for Greenpoint photographers!
