My wife and I went to Jerry’s for the first time after hearing good reviews. We made a special trip on Father’s Day with another couple. It is very dark on the inside and a little confusing how to get to the outdoor deck. The outdoor deck is nice with great views of the lake. It was all the hostess could do to seat us. She did not want to be there. The waitress was OK., but the food was definitely sub-par. Prior to ordering the brisket nachos, I asked our waitress if the brisket was shredded like pulled pork. She assured me it was. When the nachos arrived, the brisket looked like spam chunks on a few tortilla chips SPARSELY drizzled with yellow cheese sauce and bbq sauce. It did not have the white Chihuahua cheese as stated on the menu. The kicker; $ 12.00 for this mess! Our friend also ordered broccoli cheese soup and was brought potato bacon instead. Definitely not worth the trip or the money.

Had the burger it was just ok. The meat was not seasoned at least I couldn’t tell. The patio has a great view to the lake. Inside though is muggy, dark and it smells like an old casino in Oklahoma. My husband had the Reuben sandwich and actually had to put my burger to the side and grub on his other half as the portions are generous and quite tasty! My mother in law had the potato skins and they were delicious too. According to my father in law, they have the Best dam good claw chowder.

The best place to grab a snack or a meal in the Irish Hills. Jerry’s is summer. The lake, the view, a brew. Family owned and they treat you that way.

I’ve grown up going to this place. Pizza is great, and the stuffed chicken dinner is my all time favorite!

Ordered nachos with shredded cheese, ground beef, and lettuce. What we got was nacho cheese(like the kind from the movie theater) and chunks of beef. Very disappointed. Couldn’t finish the meal. Potato skins were good. But will not eat there again.

The restaurant looks like a barn and not in a good way. Very limited menu. Service is very slow. I was embarrassed to take friends here. Don’t waste your time or money.

Spent the day on the lake only to be even more delighted with a great view off the back deck and a delicious meal from Jerrys!

One of the best calzones i have ever had. Family owned and operated. Service was very good. Enjoyed the flavor of the other dishes we ordered. Would have given 5 stars but had some items that were dried out from sitting under the heat lamp too long. Neat place on the lake.

Good views from outside deck but inside pub stunk. Service was slow Food was overcooked, overpriced and certainly not worth spending your money at this pub. Took our relatives visiting from S Carolina. Disappointing.

We came here after the nascar race because we heard it was a Brooklyn staple. However aside from the great views and pretty sunset I don’t see the appeal of this place. Our server was mediocre and their menu was very pricey for what you got. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich that came with a bag of potato chips(how generous of you thank you.) You would think when paying $ 10 for a sandwich that was literally a bun with two scoops of pulled pork and 2oz of coleslaw the establishment could afford to give you French fries, nope, not here, fries were another $ 2 or $ 2.50, very laughable. My friend ordered the bbq chicken dinner, a drumstick and 2 wings, a scoop of Mac and cheese was what he got for $ 13, shameful. There have got to be better places in Brooklyn where you won’t have to overpay for small meals. I strongly suggest you find one of those instead of going here.

It pains me to write a bad review about Jerry’s Pub, but this visit was incredibly bad. It was a Sunday evening and the sun was setting. There wasn’t a hostess at the door to seat us, so we found a table ourselves(many to choose from as it wasn’t busy). It took our waitress at least 10 minutes to ask us if we wanted something to drink. We both ordered iced tea and water. After about 10 more minutes she brought 1 water and 2 iced teas(which were more Luke-warm than iced). I ordered crab cakes and the Hubby ordered a steak. After about 40 minutes the waitress comes by and tells us that another waitress took our order so the kitchen was going to have to make another and it would take 15 minutes. Half hour later, our food arrived. The steak was dry and crab cakes were over-cooked. We had to hunt down the waitress to get the check. The only thing good about this experience was the view.

Over, way over priced. Management rude to paying customers. Appetizers should never be the cost of a meal! Never going back.

Terrible food. Service was okay. Great view. But that’s not enough to make up for the lack of items on the menu and horrible food. There was so many people that recommended this place and we were excited to try it but it was extremely disappointing. I would recommend the beach bar in Clark lake if you’re looking for the same ambiance.

Oh Jerry. This place is such a staple on Wampler’s Lake it is hard to imagine a trip out here without a boat ride over to Jerry’s. Jerry himself is a cool cucumber who always has a smile for his guests(and a joke or two for the regulars) and the servers are all friendly and efficient. The food is mostly mediocre, but who cares when the beer is cold and you’re sitting in the shade staring out at a beautiful lake?!

I love Jerry’s! Great food, fantastic service, and the best indoor and outdoor atmosphere in the area, possibly the state. Don’t mind these crybabies that complain about the service. The place is bustling so you’re not going to have your hand held. Quality. Service. Outstanding experience all around. And the bartender is quite easy on the eyes ;)

I love a good dive bar, and this place fits the bill! If you frequent the Irish Hills area, you know that there are not many choices to stop for a bite and a brew, but this place has great location(on the lake) and fair food and drinks. They had a good selection of beer on tap, and a well stocked bar. Prices seemed a tad high, but not outrageous. My husband ordered a burger and fries. He liked the burger, but said that the fries were really bland. I ordered potato skins. They were almost burnt, but I like that, so they suited me just fine. A man(who I believe was Jerry) kept asking if I wanted ranch or sour cream, and looked at me like I had grown three heads when I declined. Service was a little slow, but not so much that it concerned me. I could tell that the regulars got better service, but that doesn’t bother me either. Over all, I really enjoyed the place. I’d come back again.

Not bad. Not great. The food is average and overpriced. Service seems to lack. Nice atmosphere and location so it holds that as a wild card to seem to get by on sub par service.

I’ve frequented Jerry’s for the last 12 years, so it pains me to write this, but Jerry, you got some work to do… My wife and I live nearby, and she is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, so I can tell you that the bad service is not limited to out of towners. Our experiences over the past year have been abysmal, sometimes taking up to 2 hours just for a simple meal. The food is OK… basic bar food, don’t expect anything else. The drinks are overpriced. Jerry’s sole redeeming quality is simply its location on Wampler’s lake. Why try when you are the only bar with a big waterfront deck? People go there anyway, and if you want somewhere to get drunk near water, maybe meet some other drunk people, its as good as any. For anything else, I would avoid it.

Idyllic views from the back patios. Look over the lake and watch the chipmunks play while you enjoy the sweet genuine service and good food. Try the barbecue. The brisket is especially good. Moist in the middle and crispy on the ends.

I have a friend who has a lake house nearby and we decided to meet here for dinner a few nights ago. My friend was already seated and I entered the restaurant, making my way to the table. I was basically accosted by this older lady who was apparently a sad excuse for a hostess. Once I explained to her that my friend was already seated, she let me go. As for the waiter, he was very attentive and I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of service he provided. The food was absolutely atrocious, there are no other words. Initially, when I looked at their website, I was lured into believing that they have some semblance of fine dining. Completely wrong. There wine list was minuscule and not of high quality. As for the food, I got the«famous» crabcakes. Both my friend and I got salads and they were plain jane iceberg with some cheese, carrots, store bought croutons, and maybe a cucumber slice. My dinner consisted of four overly deep fried«crab cakes» which in actuality were lumps of dough with some fake crab meat mixed in and a few red pepper pieces. The accompanying vegetables were that overcooked green bean and carrot medley from Gordon Food Service. Overall, horrible.
