Loved this place growing up! when I’m in NY it’s one of my first stops. Chicken Pam sandwiches, cheese fries & bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. My how I miss them so

Very good sandwich. I tried the chicken with spinach and fresh mozzarella. Delicious.

I read a few reviews and decided to check this place out. I ordered the roasted pork with rice and omg it was delicious!!! Pretty cheap as well for $ 6! Def authentic spanish food! I actually thought it was a regular deli but I’m glad I checked it out …=)
Next time I shall def try the cuban samdwiches since it was recommended.

Yummy Cuban sandwich. The guy on the phone had trouble understanding me. But the delivery came in 20 minutes. The delivery guy was very nice was about to leave before I could tip him. The Cuban sandwich was hot and fresh. Crunchy skin lots of meat and pickle. Yum!

I, once again, was able to taste something delicious because of Unilocal and it’s users. I was really craving a cuban sandwich and was hoping there would be a place at least decently close by that I could satiate my craving.
The cuban here was DELICIOUS and so worth it for the price! The meat was very well seasoned and the bread was still crunchy (it was transported for at least 20 minutes) and it was just great! :)
I would definitely come again for this sandwich and possibly try something else!

Gotta say the pernil is definatly up there in taste. The skin is on point. Gotta try the rest of the food.

Talk about looks are deceiving but don’t let John’s Deli and Grocery fool you because it’s always the hole in the wall establishments that really bring it on! I’ve past this place time and time again so finally I decided to take a look at the menu my husband brought home awhile back and I mean awhile back. I called for a delivery and was ecstatic that they go all the way into Bay Ridge. I go on to order a Cuban sandwich, roast pork /​pernil with white rice and red beans also ripe plantain /​maduros. All that for $ 12.50 and I’m like is this for real… what? It took less than a half an hour for delivery and now I’m so looking forward into digging into my sandwich. (Pork dish for hubby when he gets home from work) I take everything out and I’m so impressed that I call hubby to tell him about the pork skin /​Cuero in his dish which I taste tested it to make sure it was extra crispy and it definitely was extra crispy. Now I’m taking pictures to send him and for Unilocal.My stomach is screaming to hurry up because its HUNGRY!!! Finally, I take a bite into the sandwich and low and behold I crunch into a nice piece of Cuero… mmmmm…yummy! I’m so happy I can order Spanish food and not have to wait for my mom in laws cooking.

It is indeed a zesty, tasty, ‘find’. Order ANY sammich here and you will find MUCH satisfaction. Ya’m sayin!

Don’t let the store front deceive you! That cheesy «Spanish Food» sign is really trying to tell you that they make good home Spanish food! The prices are fair, the breakfast is good as well (I order here at least once a week for the breakfast), and they make the best Cubano I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to numerous establishments for the Cubano (my twisted way of determining if the place is good, its like going to a Italian place for the meatballs, or a Chinese place for the fried rice) and not one place has come close!
