The most amazing service got my drivers license exam done here in less than 20 minutes and a full examine less then a half hour … Great selection, friendly staff and most insurance accepted.

This place had the best doctor, Nieves. The staff is very helpful and nice. One pair of my glasses broke, they were able to install the glasses in a new set of frame with the low price that I was looking for, the new set are amazing comfortable and nice. I trust them very much with my eyesight, they are really the BEST in Brooklyn. Maria is the most lovely lady there. They are still the Best of the Best. What a lovely place. I took another set of glasses for repair, it needed a new screw, they send it out to the lab for repair. I picked them up and they did not charge me for the repair, it can’t get any better than this? yes, it can. They are committed to giving the best professional eye care for your eyes.

there’s a reason why healthcare SHOULD be universal. when you’re uninsured like i am(i know mom, i knoooow), you’re always on the lookout for a healthcare bargain. after purchasing vintage frames at the brooklyn flea, it was recommended i get my prescription filled at king’s optical center, they promised stellar service at a great price. off to williamsburg i went and nearly cried when i got there. i’ve never seen so many visually impaired old people in one place! i got there at 10 am and was turned away because the likelihood of being seen before 1pm was nonexistent. it hurt my feelings. those vintage frames were really rad and i just wanted to wear them so bad! dejected i headed to my job. still. i kept the faith and returned at a later date. this time there were still a sea of old people, but not as many as last time. the woman at the desk told me there would be a wait, but i told her it was cool and pointed to my book. she shrugged and went back to what she was doing. about two hours later my eyes were finally examined and GASP! i discovered i have astigmatism in my left eye. i dropped off my frames and paid a little over a hundred bucks for everything. about two days later king’s optical center called — my glasses were ready! hip hop hooray! when i arrived, you got it — the tide of visually impaired old people continued to ebb and flow. that being said, my two star review has nothing to do with the actual service i received while i was there — the eye doctor and all of her staff was excellent… what sucks is how long it took to figure that part out.

I have only had efficient, friendly interactions at this place. I only go there to get my exam(buy frames and contacts elsewhere), so I can’t comment on that process, but I do know that I could walk in at any time of day without an appointment and get a cheap, quick eye exam. No frills, nothing fancy, sometimes busy(but not too long of a wait), receptionists and salespeople are straightforward and always communicate how to get the best deal.
