The first time we came here, me and my daughter fell in love with the place. Then we tried their French toast special, it was so fluffy and delicious we wanted to have more. Food is excellent especially the Steak over Cheese enchilada, it was super delicious. From then on we keep on going back to this heavenly place.

I love Le Petit, we hosted a party here last night for 60 people and the food, ambiance and service was fantastic. My family is not easy to please and the staff, chefs, servers were amazing. They even included beautiful flower arrangements for us. It was a hot day so they knew to keep the drinks coming. The food was served piping hot and there were so many choices. We had a great time and our guests raved about everything. I will be back!

Just horrible. Wish I could give zero stars. Went there for Mother’s Day. Staff was unfriendly(which would explain why gratuity is included) — the food sub par-oh and they only take cash(with an atm in the establishment– which they probably get a cut of) Do not go.

My friends and I visited due to the long wait at Buttermilk Channel down the street. We were happy about the décor when we walked in. Very cute arboretum vibe with stone bench seats and pillows. However, the food was subpar. I ordered huevos rancheros and it was an extremely basic salsa, avocado, and beans mixture. Soggy tortillas. Only after we were done did they offer to refill our water and coffees. The atmosphere gives the place so much potential. However, the food completely does not live up to that, which is unfortunate.

We were visit NY and found this wonderful oasis. Gorgeous arboretum will peaceful waterfall. Menu was great but even better was the special dish that the waitress and cook developed for my wife’s special dietary needs. Cash only but don’t let that keep you away!

Horrible food! Horrible service! DONOTEATHERE. I’ve never been treated this horribly by a wait and management staff in my life. After waiting an hour, I only received one of the two eggs I ordered. After asking to speak to a manager the waiter refused to call a manager. We were then confronted by two people on the wait staff, who told us to leave and open a restaurant of our own. Worst service ever!!!

3.5 stars is accurate — and that it exactly what I’m giving them FOOD: The food was pretty good, though nothing amazing. I ordered the steak and eggs, my friend had an omelette and we shared a short stack of pancakes. They have a couple of differ we options for pancakes(buttermilk, pumpkins, whole wheat, banana walnut). They were fluffy and came with fruit on top. Sangria was delicious! My food came with an option of white/rye bread and salad/home fries. The potatoes were bland, and I wish I had gone for the salad buuuut the steak was pretty good! To top the meal off, I decided to try their ice cream. Decided to go for the cappuccino chip, which was a major disappointment. It was grainy and left the taste of sand in my mouth. Do not recommend! SERVICE: They’re lacking in this department, but they do get the job done. It took a while for us to find someone to get us seated, and our waitress pretty much took our order and wasn’t to be seen again. DECOR: It’s pretty, no question about that. They’ve got a cute café setting in the front and a garden-themed restaurant and waterfall in the back.

Places like Le Petit Café make me sad. Sad because if you’re going to own a restaurant why not have the enough pride to make the place actually good? We came here one morning after Prime Meats abruptly announced they’re not opening before 10 on weekends. We both ordered the steak and eggs thinking such a simple dish would hard to mess up. Wrong! The French fries were cooked in what I’d guess was old peanut oil, giving them a soggy vaguely egg-roll flavor. The steak had no seasoning, and would have been totally flavorless but for a sickly sweet balsamic glaze. It was frankly disgusting and weird for breakfast – especially when you don’t mention it at all on the menu’s description. There’s not really any indication that this is an Italian type place – supposedly it’s a French café but they have all these half-hearted Mexican dishes like an odious-looking huevos rancheros. This place is actually a diner that seems to be trying to keep up with better places around it. It’s just a restaurant seemingly run by people who have no interest in the food they serve, or maybe no clue how to make it. The interior is pleasant enough but also filled with bric-à-brac that exemplifies their identity crisis – tchotchkes from Mexico and China and India. It reminds me of San Francisco in the worst possible way, or of a Midwestern«local café» you’d end up at because you wanted to avoid eating at IHOP. But you should have gone to IHOP. Avoid. It’s sad when places don’t actually bother to try to figure out what’s worth serving, or why to serve it.

Was in town celebrating a friend’s birthday and when we walked in the manager was very welcoming and accommodating to our large party. It’s a family owned restaurant and the whole family provided great service. Very good food, drinks and zen atmosphere in the middle of Brooklyn. The shrimp omelette and French toast with fruit were delicious! Nice décor as well. I will definitely come back when I’m in the city :-)!!

This is an amazing place !! The service is great, the décor is beautiful and the food is ABSOLUTELYAMAZING!!! I had the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Rib was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were seasoned well and wonderfully fluffy. The vegetables were deliciously crisp and fresh, the perfect compliment to a beautiful dish. As satisfying as dinner was, dessert was ooh my god AMAZING! I enjoyed every bite of the banana and walnut bread pudding. It was heaven on a plate. One of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten !!

I first thought this would be my forever café. When I walked in to this café a couple of months ago, I immediately fell in love with the décor and ambiance. There was an indoor garden with a beautiful skylight, lots of greenery all around and awesome waterfalls flowing in the background. You would think you’re in Bali. It’s like a hidden oasis right here in Brooklyn. Away from all the noise and pollution. I dropped in on a Friday morning, and was helped immediately. A server brought us some menus and gave us enough time to talk and decide what we were going to eat before returning. This store gets two stars taken off for being cash only. I don’t understand how in 2015 restaurants are still cash only. I usually do not return to these establishments. I figured I’d try the food and judge from there. I ordered a amaretto french toast with fresh fruit and my friend ordered an omelet with some toppings. We ordered coffee and fresh juice too. Everything came to our table in great timing and my fresh toast was probably THE best french toast I have every tried. Taste was phenomenal and I added walnuts inside which made that much better. My friend polished his plate too. Check came, very decent prices and we left. I was so happy I thought I’d finally found THE brunch spot for me that I pulled my husband to come with me the next time. And it all went downhill. We were seated after waiting a few minutes, when there were open tables available. Once we were seated it took about 10 minutes for a waiter to bring us the menus. It took us a couple of minutes to decide what we wanted and waited for a waiter to come take our order. After about 15 minutes of literally not seeing any waiter come by, he finally started walking our way and lo and behold, he went to two tables that came after us and took their order. We motioned that we were ready and he just stared at us. So after about 5 more minutes we got up and left. As we were walking out, the manager who had seated us originally loudly and rudely mentioned to someone else, «I don’t know why they’re leaving, they just came» Um, no! We didn’t just come. Service doesn’t have to be perfect, but it definitely shouldn’t make us that uncomfortable that we’d choose to leave. So if you ever do go to this café, take into account that they’re cash only, alright food, and sucky service.

Been here twice and had two different experiences. First time was about 4 years ago. Came here for dinner and it took the waiter forever to get to us(no, the restaurant was not full). Finally he came, gave us water and took our orders. We waited for about 30 minutes(if not more) for the food to arrive. Food was ok, 3⁄5 stars. Second time was last month. Got to the restaurant and were seated and given water right away. Our waiter introduced himself and asked us if we would like beverages. He brought them out in less than 5 min(I was feeling better about this place already) and took our orders. The food came out maybe 10 minutes later. Steak was OK but I was not happy with the chicken as it was too fried. The waiter came to our table to check up on us and see if we wanted anything else. Overall, in terms of customer service I guess it depends on when you go and who you get as the waiter. Id give the food a very generous 3⁄5. Décor gets 5⁄5 for sure. Super romantic and peaceful. Will probably come back again.

Very nice interior. Apparently, a lot of manual labor went into decorating the place. We got there before 5. So, we were seated, but were advised that service does not start till 5. Our waiter was slow to respond and slow to serve. One of the reasons we gave two stars was due to the lackadaisical waiter service. Waiter was MIA50% of the time. Never refilled water glass, etc. And to make matters more undesirable, the check(which was very high — $ 107 for 3 people) included a 20% gratuity which we absolutely felt the waiter did not merit. I may return. I don’t feel this restaurant was worth $ 36/head. Sorry.

I stopped in and got a very tasty crêpe and a huge chocolate donut with almonds. Washed it down with a tea latte. Couldn’t be better. The décor was very comfortable and welcoming. They have a nice patio out back too. Service is good and the barista was very good.

The garden area in the back was the best part of the experience. Everything else was awful. We went for Sunday brunch, and our first red flag was the disorganized method that a server(not a host) used for keeping track of who was next to be seated. But we decided to give it a chance since the ambience was so pretty. We were finally seated after a half hour wait(they tried to seat a party that came in 20 minutes after us first), and then waited another half hour for our food. During this time we had two different waiters, neither of whom got our orders right or brought us water after we asked numerous times. The food itself was meh to bad. When we got the check, one of our party was also overcharged for her meal. It’s worth waiting the extra time to eat at Buttermilk Channel instead.

Very nice place! The décor is stunning they really went all out. We went last night on a Friday as next door buttermilk channel had a 35 minute wait. This place was deserted and I can’t figure out why! It’s a beautiful spot, nice music, there are several water fountains and the service was great., prices and food were awesome also. Only thing that could use improvement is that there seems to be no real wine list or drinks menu. My red wine was so so. They also automatically added 20% service to the bill. Who does that outside tourist trap places? Lol I live here… They also accept no credit cards. Overall those are minor things and not a reason not to go back though. We enjoyed it a lot.

Beautiful little café that serves scrumptious food and dessert. We came here for a private party. They rented out the back for the party. The ambience was beautiful and serene. The food(we had steak and chicken with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes) was phenomenal and filling but not to the point where you feel sick, so you know the quality was good. The dessert was amaaaaaazing(we had crème brûlée). Would love to return for the brunch that everyone raves about!

Ordered: Prosciutto panini Pros– This was the best panini I’ve ever had. The savory prosciutto went great with the tart artichoke. I swapped the olives for basil(no extra charge). The french fries were homemade and had the perfect amount of salt. The layout was also gorgeous-there was a small waterfall on the wall and the ceiling decorations incorporated interwoven wood. Cons– Cash only.

I randomly chose this spot to have lunch with a good friend. After walking in, I was amazed at the décor. The attention to detail in this restaurant is amazing. Seriously, I spent half my time looking around in awe and I’m not even an art aficionado. Definitely a date spot. During lunch we were only one of three tables taken. Our waiter was a nice, pleasant, well-kempt gentleman. I don’t remember which salad we had but, gosh, the portobello mushroom was the best I have ever tasted. We also had the salmon which was good.

We ended up here for a Valentine’s Day brunch after finding out Buttermilk Channel was overbooked. It was a good detour. The staff were so friendly and we made it in right before 3, so they let us stay and get brunch. The décor in the back room is beautiful, a naturesque environment. We ordered a short stack of banana walnut pecan pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream on top. He ordered the eggs Benedict and I ordered the special of the day, rib eye steak panini. The eggs Benedict was simple but very good and the rib eye steak was amazing, flavorful all the way through the steak, cheese, tomatoes, spinach and bread. Sadly we didn’t finish the pancakes because we were stuffed, but they were good too.

I adore this lovely little café! It’s charming ambience and enchanting dining courtyard is such a lovely place to enjoy brunch on an overcast and rainy morning. I’ve been here a few times before, years ago and it’s still lovely! For this latest visit: the Benedict Latino was delicious! The perfect combo of garlic in the sauce with a grilled cheese over the chorizo. Loved every bite! The waffle and coffee was good here too. They were out of the berries so we got bananas which were still fresh and perfectly ripe. You can’t go wrong with pancakes here! They are some of the best pancakes I have ever had! And they offer a lovely mimosa drinks menu! No problem at all with the service! Great waiters each visit and fantastic customer care. They really pay attention to their guests!
