This review is for delivery only. My order was an hour late on top of an already long delivery 70 minute window. When I tried calling, no one answered. After a few tries(all spread out so that I wasn’t just blowing them up because I understand that stuff happens), the girl was rude on the phone. All she said was that they got busy and the guy was on his way. I imagine a lot of people were bugging her. I finally received my food and to no surprise to anyone, it’s cold. Not even room temperature: cold. That’s fine, if you got busy, but at least honor orders placed 2 hours ago. Oh, and it cost an arm and a leg. Not worth it. Too many good restaurants in the area to put up with this crap.

I took my mum and her fiancée here when they visited from England. Never been here before but they had a nice variety of options for my mum as a vegetarian. Both times we went we were met by a extremely polite and cheerful host. Food was great, I had biscuits and gravy with veggie sausage and next time I had veggie burger, despite that I eat meat. Both were delicious, lots of food and I highly recommend any vegetarians coming here, it really is the best veggie options I have tasted. The boys had fried chicken sandwich with jalapeño slaw and omlette. Everything went down well. It’s also nice to sit outside. One minus is no air con inside, so if it’s sweltering outside in isn’t much better and also the restroom is nearly in pitch dark despite being mid day and the dingy light.

Best breakfast in Williamsburg! The lodge is so cozy, I’ve always told friends I feel like I’m on vacation whene’er we dine there! Great menu and selection of entrees! I must warn you, they get pretty busy on the weekend. Be prepared to wait for a table.

Great steak salad, love their Brussel sprouts. They have a great veggie and regular burger and sandwiches. Great food. If you are lucky enough to live in the area and get delivery from them its a no brainer. Highly recommended.

Cool things about Lodge: –2-for-1 drinks at brunch(bloody mary or mimosa) with decent pours –They have tater tots –There’s a Nintendo inside in case you get bored –Your dog can sit with you outside –Chorizo breakfast tacos are just… heaven Not-so-cool-things about Lodge: –Inattentive service. It wasn’t particularly crowded when we went, but we were outside which is probably why we were forgotten. :’( I’d still go back for those tacos though…

Great wing deal on Monday night. I’d like to come back and try the rest of the food out. I wish that the special extended to their $ 6.00 wines. Not sure why I was once served wings with the wine, and the next time I was only allowed to order beer or their $ 10.00 wines. I was told that people had been fired because they were doing this. In this case, management, please understand that it’s not that serious. It’s just wings. If you make the rule«all drinks $ 6 and over get free wings» you should honor it.

I really love the vibe of the Lodge. Its very rustic with lots of quirky wood furniture, christmas lights, antler chandeliers. You can come here to play old school video games while sipping drinks in the bar area. This is my third time dining in here. Their food is supurb. Today we had the skillet skirt steak, brussel sprouts, and sweet potato fries. Skirt steak has a smokey stew flavor; one of my favorite appetizers so far. Sweet potato fries were crispy and chewy(not soggy or burnt like I typically find them in other resturants). Brussel sprouts were skillet fried with a chared coating; really good. The only drawback to this restaurant is that they have brunch until four and don’t start serving dinner till 5PM sharp. All-in-all loving this place and I definitely recommend them.

Great brunch! Awesome décor and vibe. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food is standard fare, good, but not exceptional. Overall a solid neighborhood go-to and excellent for groups.

The quintessential Williamsburg spot, from the exposed brick walls to the mis-matched chairs to the industrial lighting. It doesn’t get more hipster than this. If they weren’t trying so hard, maybe I’d give it 5 stars. The food here is absolutely amazing. It hard to make a Blt sound exceptional, the the array of BLTs here are all delicious. A farro salad is hard to mess up, and Lodge did not disappoint. The service here is pretty great too. No complaints at all. All in all a pretty great experience.

Bought a City Shuffle’s Diners Deck and Lodge was one of the options(basically it’s a deck of cards, each with a different restaurant on it and you get $ 10 off when you spend $ 30 at each one, woo!). Came here on an unfortunately cold and gray Saturday morning with a girlfriend. The place was pretty empty, and we had to move our seat once because it was super cold inside. I think the walls open in the summer so the windows are super insulated… but still decently chilly. The food was good, not great, but the tea cups were huge. I don’t know about anyone else but I love a big tea cup. The service was decent, even a little weird with some strange favoritism going on with another table, i.e. the waiter was taking 11AM shots with a table of young gals — but nothing to really write home about. The veggie burger was a bit mushy but at least it was on the menu! South Side Williamsburg is not my hood so I probably won’t be back very soon.

Food was good! Two friends and I went to get a smaller bite before going out for the night and we were quite pleased! The portions were really big! My one friend and I split two appetizers– the nachos and the braised beef tips. The nachos were really good! Loaded with cheddar cheese sauce, jalapeños, beans, avocado, ect. There were so many toppings we joked that there weren’t any chips! It was great! The braised beef tips came in a red wine sauce with mushrooms and some squash cubes?(Seasonal veggies) and a few pieces of bread for dipping. The beef, mushrooms, and sauce was great– the veggy was mediocre.

Service was nice and professional We were A party of 2 that sat by the front door and had to move to a different table because it was too cold. We received mason jars with water that had lipstick residue on it My silverware had particles of food between it, when I asked for plastic utensils someone said they didn’t have. The food took long. The food was terrible, eggs had 0 flavor The pancakes were BLaH! The bacon over cooked and hard The veggie burger, disgusting with 0 seasoning lastly I don’t think any resturant should have shared condiments already on and or brought to the table, such as mustard mayo ketchup, it should be provided in a portioned sized ramekin, no one knows what was done with that bottle of ketchup before brought to my table, someone could have stuck a dirty utensil in it trying to get out ketchup, mustard, pepper sauce, a child could have been playing with it and spit or coughed over it,(whatever the condiment is) Waitress wasn’t concerned when she took our practically FULL plates of food from the table, before she dropped our bill. Overall, I wouldn’t go back again for the food.

We were greeted by a chipper host… and seated in the corner. Upon being greeted by our waitress, she wasn’t too welcoming. It was as if she was taking the food order from purple people eaters. The party of 3 seated next to us received their plates before us and they ordered similar meals i.e. steak, poached eggs and salad. When the waitress was questioned as to when our meals will be served she stated that it will be out shortly. I then told her that the party next to us ordered similar meals and they were served already. She proceeded to explain the cooking process/time as an excuse. After I stated again that we ordered the same food items. She said that she will go and check on our orders. To my suprise within 30 seconds she magically appeared with our plates. Another occurrence that I found to be weird or maybe my mind was playing tricks on me because of my tainted view of receiving lackluster service. Our waitress went into a huddle with the host and another waitress. Judging from their facial expressions and body language it seemed as though they were discussing me questioning the arrival of our food. After that, our waitress didn’t seem too interested in providing us with the best service. She only checked on us once and after our plates were taken away she neglected to ask if we wanted anything else. She simply slid the check on the table and said thank you as she scurried away like a wind was pushing her in the opposite direction of the«purple people eaters». CONCLUSION…Am I to believe that because I’m a «purple people eater«that I shouldn’t receive my food in a timely manner. Did we deserve to be slighted because we are«PPE’s»…like other«Eaters» of all colors, we only came to enjoy Sunday brunch not to be treated as though our stomachs arent worthy of being filled to capacity. At the LODGE I truly felt as though I was a hunted deer stuffed and mounted on the wall for display not to be taken care of like a live animal. Also the same chipper greeting that we received when we entered the establishment was not given when we exited… hmmm, I wonder WHY !!! Oh yea, the food was good. If I based the rating on that ALONE, I would of given them 4 stars.

I loved this place! The theme of the restaurant is an old lodge from the 80s basically. It’s pretty awesome. The food is spot on. I came here for brunch with my husband and both of our entrees were delicious. They have lots of vegetarian options that go beyond a plate of veggies or rice. Everything was just so good. My husband ordered a bloody mary and it was one of the best bloodys we’ve had. Perfect amount of spice and heat and tons of flavor. I got a beer from their great seasonal craft beer list. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were able to sit right away and our server took our order right away and our food came out fairly quick. My husband and I were already talking about coming back for another meal as we were eating! I highly recommend this place!

All you need to know is that they have a NES and a bunch of old Nintendo games. I played Super Mario Bros 3 for the first time in 20 years and would have finished the whole thing on my first go if my buzzkill girlfriend hadn’t dragged me out of there because she was«bored». Even though no one said anything i’m fairly sure passerbys were impressed at my unmistakable skill and how well i remembered the finer details of the game. despite this, we were not given a discount on our food. i left the game paused on the final level to chase after my girlfriend, a gift to the next person to walk in. i’ll see you again soon, Lodge. next time i’ll be coming alone and staying the whole night.

2.5 I really loved the theme of Lodge. Like a log cabin with an old school TV set and VHS tapes. It was cute! Our waitress was really sweet and seemed to know a lot about the menu, which is always appreciated. The«Illegal Drugs» cocktail was fantastic — refreshing, with a little kick to it. I split the shrimp po’boy and fish tacos. Both were OK. Nothing out of this world. The fries were pretty good! I don’t think I’d come back for just the food alone though.

I have to knock this down to 2 stars, the staff is getting worse and worse at doing anything resembling competence. I went there the other night and placed a pick up order and was told 10 minutes. I got there 10 minutes later paid and waited… and waited. 20 minutes later I asked what the heck is going on, and they forgot to give me my food. Let that one rattle around in your head, it was just sitting on the back counter behind the one woman working there, for god knows how long. Also it wasn’t like it was busy, there was 2 – 3 people milling around but that was it. A similar event happened a week or two ago when I was told 10 minutes, walked over and had to wait another 20 for them to cook it. Don’t lie to me people, just tell me when I can pick up my damn food. I do not like wasting my time sitting in a hot room looking at a wall for 20 minutes. This was for the ‘general store’ next door. I haven’t eaten brunch in the restaurant in months, there is no reason to with so many great options around.

What a cool spot! I met up with friends in New York last weekend and, as we were staying in Brooklyn, this was a convenient place to have brunch before leaving on Sunday. We arrived right around the time the restaurant opened at 11 and, aside from a few other tables, had the place completely to ourselves. I was kind of surprised by this as we were expecting a line! The space itself was very pleasant. It has that whole rustic vibe that is so popular right now, with mismatched furniture and a lot of of wood, metal, and interesting light fixtures. It was a beautiful day and all of the windows were open, so it was quite sunny and breezy inside. It was almost like eating in a giant tree house. I ordered a Bloody Mary(deliciously spicy and perfectly boozy, though a little lacking in the garnish area with just a few olives) and the cinnamon french toast with mixed berry compote. The portion was huge – I couldn’t even finish it, and that is very rare for me as I love any and all breakfast food. The french toast was pleasantly fluffy(too often it can be flat and«deflated») and had a nice cinnamon flavor, balanced nicely by the berry compote(strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries). My brunch partner had the biscuits and gravy – I stole a quick bite and this was also delicious. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and this was a nice experience overall. I recommend going on a nice day so you can enjoy the breeze!

Since my initial experience there, unfortunately the quality of food has gone down. I even found a few short white hairs in my food that seemed to be dog or cat hair. I still love the atmosphere and service but the reliability and consistency of the food is lacking.

The neighbourhood is good but it is a little scared during the night. You can find many hipsters in this area. The food is good and service too. The only problem is the relation between price and what you receive here.
