I have visited Lotus nails on and off for about 8 years. The only reason I haven’t been a frequent customer, is because I hate waiting and I stopped getting manicures at times to save money. Lotus has an interesting setup, hair blow drying in the front, mani pedi station in the middle and hair washing in the back. So I get that the appearance can be off putting. BUT they are extremely sterile with their tools and they are very friendly. You have to respect the people who are providing a service to you b/c this is manual labor they go through all day. The quality of their work is also long lasting. My gel manicure lasts for 2 plus weeks(I go over 2 weeks when I don’t get a chance to run to the nail shop). The acrylic fill in done by Stan look phenomenal. There usually isn’t a wait these days, the longest I have waited was maybe 5 minutes. That is also b/c I go on off peak hours now. You can also make an appointment to avoid waiting.

Wish i could give this place ZERO stars now. «Lotus nails and hair» in Mill Basin, I had a really bad experience this week. I went in to get a filling for my nails(gel filling) and the guy that owns the place told me to go and remove the nail polish by soaking my hands in rubbing alcohol. I was waiting for more than half an hour just so that I can get my nails done. When I told one of the women that worked there that I was waiting for more than half an hour she dismissed everything I said and just went on with her day, she also rolled her eyes at me. I was a loyal customer but as of last week, they have now OFFICIALLYLOST a loyal customer.
