Lucas Radcliffe Cuts

Lucas is great. Cuts with Lucas are a family affair and so much easier than schlepping to 3 different salons. He’s great with our daughter and she doesn’t move a muscle while he snips away. She is mesmerized with him so I imagine he would be great at putting kids who are a little nervous at ease. All in all his rates are good value and we always look great once he’s finished. I have a short bob cut that always grows in well and my husband always gets something a little more interesting than a short back and sides! Lucas is no nonsense and gets on with the job which suits us great. We’ve been using him for over 3 years now and look forward to his visits. He always gets back to you promptly on scheduling. Long may he continue as the home visits work really well for us.

Lucas totally stiffed us yesterday. After a few back-​and-​forth notes and a check-​in on his end to make sure he had our address (AND a Google calendar appointment that HE set up), he just never showed up. No call, no email (after I emailed twice to ask what happened). We’d been planning around this for weeks to squeeze in a cut for my husband and son before my sister’s wedding. I can deal with a little tardiness (I hear that’s common with him) but this is just unprofessional and totally wasted my time. If I do get a response from him at some point with a legitimate excuse, I’ll gladly take this down. But until then, unprofessional!

Lucas gave me a great cut – the cut looks snazzy a month later, the true sign of a quality do. I normally go to a salon in Soho, and I have for many many years, but I decided to try something new. Anyway, Lucas did not disappoint – not only was it much more reasonably priced (so much so that I might think of getting more than 3 or so cuts per year), but the cut looks great.
I also want to add that Lucas came through in a special circumstance – when I was getting my haircut, I seemed to be coming down with something. I felt faint, the type of thing that happens at the outset of a flu, etc. Anyway, he actually gave me a lift and dropped me off at home so that I wouldn’t have to take a subway in that state or pay for a car service. So yeah, he made me feel more like a person rather than just a customer.
All in all, great cut, great person. Five beautiful estrellas.

To sum it up: Best Haircut of my life, AND he makes housecalls.

The long version: In general Im the kind of person who really hates getting my haircut. In the past its always been such a chore and it usually winds up being so not «me» when its done. So i would put it off until i looked like chewbacca. Now that I’ve found Lucas I can simply sit in my own kitchen and chat with lovely hilarious Lucas while my toddler sleeps and my hair always looks f*cking fantastic when he’s done. No trauma, no shock. No need to waste valuable babysitter hours on going to a salon.
