The waitresses were extremely rude to me and my husband. I kept getting dirty looks from our waitress and she kept rolling her eyes at me. When we ordered our drinks she brang my husband a cup and not me. I had to ask for the bill about 3 times and when we went to pay she laughed and said they dont take cards even though it advertises they do on the window and when I called ahead to place our orders the women on the phone told me they did. My husband had to go to an ATM. I will NOT return here and have made sure to tell my friends not to come here when they crave colombian food. Worst place ive gone to.

The worst! Out of the last 4 times we’ve called they never have chicken! How can you not have a basic thing?! The lady more often than not gets our order wrong or incomplete! Only reason why we’ve given this place a number of chances is because they are the only Spanish food place nearby. The food isn’t even outrageous; just mediocre. I don’t know how they have stayed in business this long!

Overpriced and underportioned. I’ve had better and paid less. Ordered the chicken and rice dish.

Stay away! After placing a take out order, they realized they didn’t have what I ordered so they decided to switch my order to something completely different without telling me and charged me more! When I realized and drove back, they refused to give me the right order or my money back or even a credit for next time. When asked to speak to a manager … he mysteriously disappeared(was there 3 minutes earlier)…Horrible place and the food itself is mediocre at best and overpriced. Go someplace else.

I’ve been starting my day with Lulo’s for the last two weeks. The food is super fresh. I’ve mostly ended up there because it’s never too full. I enjoy the peaceful setting with my friends. If you’re around the place it’s definitely worth a visit.

I’ve tried the empanadas and the biñuelo which were pretty good. The service though, I feel like it’ was and still is rude.

I give this review because I know when I am trying to find someplace new to eat I look to Unilocal to see reviews before I go. I really do not like to give negative comments, but I was dieing for some Spanish food and asked for something simple to try because it was my first time eating there, I ordered roasted chicken and white rice and beans, wow, everything was so salty. I will not be returning. I didn’t try anything else so I cannot say how anything else tastes.

Great food, great take out and great delivery service. My only complaint is they seem to not have soda on hand and the ones they did were flat and warm. Could’ve been a one time occurrence but shouldn’t have happened.

Brightly lit interior — think orange and yellow hues. Their pan de queso is a MUST-order. But beware because that thing is addictive — soft bite in, but full texture. Prices are great(this only cost $ 1.50) and was quite filling. I saw many other interesting items on their menu that I look forward to trying.

Location is good, one can always grab some chicken, rice and beans after a long day in the city. 11.50 for enough food to feed you dinner and lunch the next day. Came with a salad too. Place feels a little dirty though compared to other Spanish eateries in Queens and the Bronx etc, I wish it was kept spotless. Tables should be wiped down, chairs tucked in, it always feels always feels like 3pm in here and school is over. but I guess there isn’t much competition in the area… YET.

so ive been going to this place for a little while now, food is great, love the taste and how quick they can get it done for me, yet the i think is a little too expensive for the size of the food they give you, other than that, they great, i usually have bandeja paisa and i love it!

Solid offerings and good food. A little expensive for smaller portion sizes compared with La Sultana del Valle in nearby Sunset Park. But only one in neighborhood. Usually good, but recently the food has been better :)

Sabroso! I went here with my bf who is a Colombian native. He was skeptical at first when we saw the area but left feeling like he had just eaten at his parents! We began with empanadas that were a bit salty, but the steak one had delicious filling. The sauce they bring with it was addictive. Next, we both ordered the typical dish of bandeja paisa, and each order came with 2 dishes full of deliciousness! There was both steak and chix not to mention yummy chicharron! It was way too much for me but he devoured all of his. I had plenty of leftovers for calentao! We left with a bag of bunuelos, a type of oversized Latin munchkin, how can you go wrong? :) oh and at $ 13.50 a plate, you can’t beat it!

Had the ½ chicken and beans, rice, plantains and salad delivered the other night – it was all delicious. The price at $ 10.50 was very reasonable with plenty for leftovers. Most of the restaurants I’ve been to around Bensonhurst are very average, but this was great. I didn’t dine in and it looks a little too café-bakery inside, but for delivery, it’s the best. Recommended.

DELICIOUS! Just got home from having a random delicious meal from Lulo’s. After using Unilocal to search«Nearby Places» we decided to try Lulo’s. I admit, when we pulled up to the place I was very taken back by the extremely bright lights and orange EVERYTHING. Not what I envision when I think of a Columbian Restaurant. BUT. then… we got the menu :-]. The menu is written in spanish with english translations under each item which i appreciate. We ordered the number 15 which was a dish of everything(steak, chicharonnes, chicken, rice, beans, egg, fried platanos, avocado) along with a side of fries… more maduros. a bunelo and beef empenada. Include a water and a soda and our meal came to 25 $! Food was TASTY! the waitress was extremely nice and patient with telling us what the items in the showcase were. People were in and out the entire time so they seem to be making good business. VERY happy with our food here and we will return! The décor sends a different message though so if they remodeled i would definitly give this place 5 stars!

Authentic Colombian without having to go to queens? I’m in! I tried the empanadas and they were exactly how I had hoped for. Today, I’m trying to bandeja paisa. I will update this review after I eat it. Only drawbacks? No website, no online menu, and the place is clean inside, but the corny orange color makes me feel like I’m in a fast food joint. Either way, I will be eating here frequently.

I live around the corner from this place and lazily order delivery from here at least once a week(though usually it ends up being a few times a week). I always get their #2 breakfast special which is carne asada, mixed rice & beans and then I order an arepa con queso. Its a large portion and fills me up. Can’t beat that for $ 11.50 + tip. Im a fan of their beans and rice its so good. I never eat at the restaurant, just order delivery so I can’t speak to service inside but the girls who always take my order are very sweet and the guys who deliver are real nice. I’ll ordering from here as long as they’re around!

My best friend is Colombian so she wanted to try this place. The first time she had some steak and it was a greasefest, greasy and yet dry at the same time. I had a burger which promised to come with pineapple and did not. It was a basic burger I couldve got for cheaper at new fresh tortilla. Second time she wanted to try again I got the ½ chicken, they told her they didnt have the dark meat and I got 2 breasts and 2 wings and it was the driest, saltiest chicken I have ever had. Tasteless rice and beans, a few pieces of bland fried plantain and a sad looking iceberg salad completed the experience. Even my friend who so wanted to like this place admits it is a poor representation of her native lands food. Avoid.

Came here with my sister and her boyfriend for lunch. There were no one dining inside, but a few were buying take-out. This place is painted one shade lighter than the orange on Nemo. The tables and chairs matches their walls. The décor was simple and clean. They also have a bakery section. Their menu is both in English and Spanish. But whoever did their menu needs to brush up on their Photoshop skills. All the pictures on the menu has uncleaned edges from a bad Photoshop job. Maybe it’s just me… this is what happens when I spend too much time at work. The food took awhile to make and we were the only ones eating there. My sister’s bf and I both ordered ½ chicken with rice, beans, salad and yellow plantain. The chicken was okay, a bit on the dry end and it didn’t have that much flavor. I needed to add hot sauce to give it a boost. The rice was actually pretty good. The beans were okay. I like the plantain too. I also drank a bottle of Lulo juice, a tropical fruit in Ecuador, which is has a citrus and tangy taste. The juice was pretty good. My sister had the home made platter, which consists of chicken breast, grilled steak, fried crispy pork, rice, beans, egg, yellow plantain and corn cake. Her dish was okay. The steak was like paper thin and it was overcooked. The chicken breast was actually pretty good. When the menu said fried crispy pork, they weren’t kidding, it was so fried that it was hard stabbing it with a fork. The corn cake looked like a tiny pita bread and it was only half, not a whole. My sister had a bottle of narana/pina, which was pineapple juice and it’s okay. Overall, this place was okay just like the Photoshop job done on their menu.
