I’ve tried almost every type of food they sell here — both dairy and meat. A lot of it was made in large quantities(i.e. for many people). Keep this in mind. Otherwise, I tried a meat platter sampler yesterday, which was great. I’m going to run down the foods I’ve tried to give you a better idea about hoe everything tastes. Dairy: a. Breaded fried fish is really good and I’m not a fish guy at all. Came with couscous which was tasty. They included lemons too! b. Tuna sandwich are yummy. Not too much mayo or salt. No celery in it which is a plus.(I never got celery in tuna). c. Mac n’ cheese. Tasted bland. No pepper or spices but a lot of cheese. d. Salads were always good. Good dressing always. e. Spinach quiche tasted good. Soft and not too much cheese. f. Kelsones with egg noodles were great. Soft and cheesy. g. Baked ziti was good. A lot of cheese and sauce. h. Samboosak was amazing. i. Tomato soup was tasty. j. Mini pizza are small(2.5−3″ diameter), but great. Meat: a. Lahmagene was delicious. My wife tried the takeout one on a platter and enjoyed! b. Chicken nuggets are really good and probably the most popular lunch in school. c. Fries are very thin and usually hard, but still pretty good. Perhaps they should use slightly thicker fries so that the inner potato part doesn’t burn or harden. d. Potato puff balls I tried were very good. e. Apricot chicken tasted interesting. Not too many spices, but others like it. Ultimately, MNM is a great place to buy authentic Sephardic food. Priced reasonably and very nice staff. They seem to treat customers well. Would definitely go back. Check out the pictures they posted to Unilocal — everything looks like it actually does! In other words, you’ll get what you see.
