This place has a fantastic selection of beers and the bar tenders are very friendly. If you are a beer lover and you are looking to sample some new things, it’s a great choice. The way the interior is set up is really unique, it looks like it was originally an auto shop, so it’s got a very different kind of feel. It can get a little loud sometimes but It’s a good place to unwind after work.

The Good. –Surprisingly delicious wasabi bloody marys. –No food, but you can bring deliciousness in from the Pickle Shack across the street. –A usually awesome, eclectic and obscure beer selection. –Great music. De La Soul, Jigga, other great hip hop on rotation. –Somewhat outdoor space. –Pinball. The Bad. –I know it’s a trend, but last time in, nearly every beer on the list was obscenely hoppy or a sour. Can a guy get just one porter or stout? Black Ale is not the same, although I appreciate the recommendation. The Ugly. –All I know is, you ain’t got no alibi.

This place is surprisingly cool. Three different ‘areas’ to drink in. All with a slightly different feel only because of their location in the bar. Good beer selection, inventive(smores cocktail) drinks too. Id easily come back

Super friendly bartenders every time I have been here. Excellent craft beer selection. I love the way the space is set up with a very open air feel and all of the patrons seem to be pretty chill. All in all a great day drinking spot.

Mission has become something of a seasonal right of passage. The appearance of spring temperatures allows for drinking in the open air courtyard. I feel the migratory urge to return all at once. Super high quality beer and cider that is frequently rotated so there is a sense of discovery each time you enter. A laid back ethos so bring along your own food, dogs and even children on a lazy weekend afternoon. This place is a real gem — give it a try.

Love this place! Divey, lightly skylit ceiling, this bar is perfect for weekend chill sessions. Have come here a few times — it’s a summer favorite. Like other Unilocalers have stated, dog friendly — although I heard a rumor that this was stopping? They allow food from other places since they don’t sell their own, and on some weeknights they’ll have specials like«founder’s night» — as a Michiganer, it’s much appreciated! Pinball machine too. Woo!

You can bring your dog! Definitely a plus. Atmosphere: Outdoor seating under a roof, and then a middle area where you can still see outdoors, but is a bit warmer, and then finally the bar area, which is still open, but a bit less exposed to the streets. Small bar sitting area, but tables throughout all sections. Very divey but welcoming still the same. Drinks: Happy hour until 7PM and serve a big ol glass of champagne. No flutes in this joint. Tons of great local brewery beers on tap. And I believe you can bring food into the bar from outside dining establishments.

You had me at pinball machines. And puppies! A friend’s Sunday Funday birthday party led us here, and I was pleasantly surprised; I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a nice melding of divey yet hip. An interior graffiti-ed seating area allowed patrons to drink with their myriad of adorable dogs and babies.(How Park Slope!) An interior open-air area allowed some of the patrons to drink in the sun(until one of those late-spring thunderstorms came through and put the retractable awning to the test), and the interior was split between a bright glass-roofed area and the dark rear bar area. Admittedly, the old lady in me had to take off my sunglasses and bring my regular glasses to the bar with me to read the drink menus on the wall. Heh. I was pleased with the selection, even if the cider on draught was $ 9 a glass.(Eeep!) I opted for the Dark & Smarmy, their twist on a Dark & Stormy. Ginger liqueur replaced ginger soda, and I got quite a kick in my pants from it. I sampled many drinks of my friends and acquaintances, and there wasn’t one I disliked. I did see ginger a lot in many drinks, actually. There was one with gin, soda, and a raw ginger slice that also tickled my fancy. Admittedly, I’ve avoided this neighborhood for years. Many of my lady friends and I have discussed this at different points: have you ever avoided an area because it reminds you of heartbreak or a bad relationship? Yeeeeah… that’s this area of Brooklyn for me. Haha.(Sorry, not sorry.) However, I put on my big girl pants, sucked it up, and tamed down my PTSD by coming to a bar in this area. I liked it! Maybe I need to come back more often… ehhh, maybe. Heh.

The skylit concrete and brick courtyard provides great acoustics to the guitar rock that plays(at a reasonable decibel level) on the sound system. This place welcomes dog lovers and offers pitchers for the parched. Unpretentious and chill, great place for a lazy weekend post-brunch drink. Also, kudos to blasting that Weezer song from their first album. –Mostly craft beers from NE area -$ 12 pitchers of Narragansett

Cool hipster-ish kind of bar with a lot of great beer to choose from. Definitely recommend it if you like good and real beer. Oddly enough, the entrance to this place kind of reminded me of my favorite nargile(hookah) place in Istanbul. They already had me before I even walked into the bar part.

After some fun at Littlefield, my roomie and I found ourselves at Mission Dolores bar. There are two bars next to each other on 4th ave. This seemed the more interesting of the two. Three points to mention, pinball machine, $ 12 pitchers of beer(cheapest option and it wasn’t named Bud, Coors, or Miller!), and a seamless transition from sunshine-filled outdoor seating to dark, dive bar-ish seating. Somebody put thought into that and it was kind of cool. It was one of those afternoons that slipped into an evening spent discussing everything from Instagram to the IRS. Kinda cool.

When walking down 4th Avenue in Park Slope, you wouldn’t even notice the entrance to Mission Dolores. This bar is always filled with regulars. I like to come here on a Saturday afternoon. The have a great beer selection. The cocktails were not my favorite. I love walking in through the outdoor hall, there’s a cool mural. Past the hall there is an open air patio and then walking through the doors you can enter the bar. They have two pinball machines and cool old mug shots as wall paper. Then there is a mural of the acutal Mission Dolores from California. I love coming here for ladies night and grabbing some Mexican from accross the street and brining it over to the bar. Fun place for a quality IPA in a patio on a beautiful summer or fall day. Hopefully the regulars won’t get mad that I let the cat out of the bag!

Super cool bar where dogs are allowed and the beer is awesome. Like the sibling Bar Great Harry and Owl Farm, dogs are encouraged inside here. The atmosphere is also awesome as it feels like the alcove to an old house or courtyard more than a bar. Of course there are also pinball machines here and the beer selection is vast, unique, and not too expensive. Love this bar.

Many drafts. Such pinball. Another round please. Outdoor Patio. Put another shrimp on the barbie lol. One bathroom. Bearded men. Bearded woman. Happy birthday to me. More cake. Happy hour thank you. Order wings from Dinosaur. Wow. Non-Doge note: There’s a lot of dogs at this bar.

Sooooooo swung by this place last night with friends after annihilating lots of amazing BBQ goodness at Dinosaur BBQ and we were looking for a low key place to grab one beer and end our night. _________________________________________________________ This bar excels at quite a number of things: AMBIANCE — Mission Dolores has an indoor-ish feel until you look up and realize there’s no roof and no real door… this kind of reminded me of Barcade except this place is more like hipster Brooklyn bar meets beer garden meets… really cool decorated garage with exposed brick and faux plaster/fresco finish, in like, Cali. DECOR — They have a lot of antique/vintage knick knacks that decorate the place including a wall that feature colorful mugshots that remind me of something Andy Warhol would create. BEER — Decent beer list of(seemingly) carefully selected American and European brews. Most of them being craft beers or from micro-breweries and they probably rotate their selection whenever they tap a new keg or as seasonal beers pop up. Cool beans. HAPPYHOUR — it’s apparently only $ 5 for for 2WELLDRINKS from 4 – 7 plus some beer + shot specials… well this is certainly on my list of happy hours to hit up! _________________________________________________________ No food here, but there a neat looking taqueta called Oaxaca Tacos that looks pretty promising. I love tacos, love beer and love happy hours — while I do not love the long, arduous commute back to my Queens abode, I do plan on coming back here some time to try their beer, happy hours and the tacos across the street. Huzzah!
