Modell’s Sporting Goods

i usually have good experiences in this store. today was not one of them. they were understaffed, and the store was hot. i finally got an employee to help me, and after ten minutes of waiting, he left and went on break.(the kid had braids, i should of got his name) i saw him while i was waiting on line holding his lunch and drinks. there was an employee their that was apologizing to me. he was very nice. he was in the sneaker department. he had a lot of customers and no help. not even the manager. the manager walks around with a face and doesn’t offer any help. the guy after several attempts found me someone… all i wanted was a jersey. i hope they staff this store properly because if i didn’t need this jersey i would of went elsewhere.

My family is all for Modell’s. Though we live near four franchises, this is our preferred location because of its wider selection. For the second time in a row, my mom and i were able to walk away with a new pair of sneakers. The shorts, however, I can never find in a XXL.
For such a huge location with a lot of possible foot traffic from mall visitors, I would recommend increasing the number of available staff on the floor. I felt the employees were a bit frustrated being short-​staffed and having to split their time between customers. I know how that feels and I’d prefer to finish assisting one customer before I assist another. Being a yo-​yo is not fun. I’d say the same thing goes for the cash registers. Why were there only two cashiers to process the growing line?
The coupons are always a plus and put to good use. The same goes for the rewards. Prices are also reasonable.

Modell’s has been carrying a lot of Under Armour stuff lately. That’s fantabulous because I love UA things (wicking, warm), and they tend to run pretty narrow so it’s hard to tell how it will fit from the size on the tag, and now I try stuff on at a nearby Modell’s. Prices at Modell’s are pretty much the same as on the UA website, and Amazon, and Modell’s runs good sales and has that MVP member rewards program.

I love Modell’s sporting goods stores for my shopping needs, they have a better variety of team gear than other places.
They always have some kind of sale for Mets merchandise which makes me very happy, and they also have great sale prices on all types of sneakers.
I did see a crazy pair of sneakers that cost 300 bucks and claimed they can make you jump higher, i should have asked to test them out.
The one negative about Modells is they mostly do not have a «clearance» section for good items. You have to sift through everyday items to find deals which could take a long time. They do have a sale section but it usually has off-​brand items. They also have neglected the sports cards section, which used to be great and is now very small and unspectacular.
Either way i still love Modell’s and enjoy wandering through their giant stores. The security at this location at the mall is bigger.
