Decent pizza… par for NYC in my opinion. Not much seating but most patrons seem to get their food to go. If you want a slice and you are nearby don’t think this would be a bad option. Stuffed meat is my favorite slice.

Not Ray’s has a great selection of pizza. They always have a dangerously loaded meat lovers pizza that hits the spot and some fresh parm to top it off. Very relaxed vibe and good for a quick slice.

This pizza is super awesome! I remember first moving here and this being one of the first places I tried… It’s still a top contender 4 years later!

The portions are huge. One slice is definitely filling unless you are a ravenous animal. I tried the meat stuffed pizza… but honestly, I thought the taste was average. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not memorable.

Not the best pizza I’ve ever had(especially for $ 3.50 for a speciality slice) but good overall. Regular slice is $ 2.75 and most all other specialty slices are $ 3.50 each which is a little steep considering not all have meat or anything fancy. Would probably grab lunch here again though if I craving nearby pizza.

I ordered a slice of white pizza with basil to go. I named the type of pizza that I wanted, and to reinforce my choice, I pointed to the slice. The person behind the counter repeated«basil?» and I said«yes.» When I got home, I had the white pizza without the basil. I was disappointed.

The pizza is OK, not gourmet but just a nice basic New York pizza. They deliver quickly and always get the order right even when we order ½ of something and the other half of something else. A solid neighborhood spot.

Best pizza hands down. I have been coming here for years; rather all my life and I have never been disappointed. Incredible staff and excellent service.

Their pizza tastes good. They have a good selection of pizzas as well as other dishes that are reasonably priced. They also get dibs for having access to a restroom which could be a search when you’re in NYC. A funny thing that happened there once. So I’m paying for a slice of pizza, and the guy(not from the U.S.) who’s taking my money did not think the quarter I gave him was acceptable. He probably was used to the old eagle-backed quarters, and the newest quarter has a state shown the back. So I tell him what state is on the back and then ask him to tell me the 2 non-contiguous U.S. states. Embarrassed by this, his colleague apologized to me. I was not offended, but I did want to bust that guy’s bubble for the heck of it. And I still get pizza there when I’m in the area.

Located downtown Brookyn this is a serious go-to-must-spot on your bucket list. If you are a New Yorker you know we have given definition and nostalgia to the word«slice», it has the same familiarity as «fuggedaboudit» and is used just as often, however we refer to the word«slice» as we go about ordering our pizza. New Yorkers take their pizza seriously. We fold our slice as meticulously as as we fold a crisp white shirt from the dryer. The variety of pizza here is crazy. There’s something for everyone… seriously. It’s a little pricey however as you bite into a mouth watering slice you will understand why one slice is almost $ 5.00 a piece. Just go. Don’t look back. You’ll thank me later. Trust me.

I came here after a hot day of drinking margaritas across the street. The slice I ordered was great; it had just the right amount of cheese and sauce, and the crust was soft, just the way I like it. I’ll definitely come back here.

This gets a 5 star rating for: Best local pizza joint when I just want a quick slice. I always get 1 – 2 margherita slices(Read: Do NOT get the plain cheese or other options with plain cheese and toppings. The Fresh Mozzarella option is the ONLY slice I am talking about. Plain cheese = 2 – 3 stars). It’s no DiFara — but it is definitely a great, quick, easily accessible fill-in.

I’ve been here on numerous occasions. The pizza’s always good. Especially their specialty pizzas! The lasagna pizza is AMAZING. The stuffed meat slice is aMaZiNg. The grandma slice is great. The grandma with pesto slice is great. Their beef patties with cheese are delicious. Oh, and they make zeppoles!

Well I happen to be in the neighborhood and I remembered how much I enjoyed the pizza. This time I decided to try the spicy buffalo chicken slice… yum yum! It was very good, the spices were just right not overpowering. I was able to enjoy a good slice while watching boxing on the television… what a great combination. I’d definitely come back to eat here again.

Most New York slice pizza is growing on me. On this occasion it was a tad too salty but I’m guessing it was more the pepperoni to blame than the ingredients in the dough. Their shop is clean, service is awesome and their Unilocal sticker says we love them. What more can you ask for? The End

Of course it’s a hilarious name, but Not Ray’s is nothing more than an average place for a slice of pizza. But as the old saying goes, like sex… even bad pizza isn’t all that terrible. They have all the classic slices you expect to find; white stone, pepperoni, square Sicilian, etc… I think they’re a bit on the steep side at $ 3.50/slice, but maybe I’m crazy and have no idea what I’m talking about. But for a quick, cheap meal, it’s just fine. Ray’s or Not Ray’s, I’d still take any of it over Papa John’s. Eff off, Peyton Manning!

If you want a no frills just straight up good slice of cheese pizza this is the spot. The pizza taste exactly the same as when I was in HS and going to their spot when it was on the corner. I can’t speak for all the other pizza types because I’m a traditionalist when it comes this pizza spot… bread, cheese, and sauce. When I’m in the area I will usually grab a slice happily!
