Parkview Diner

This place’s price is ridiculous. I bought waffle from here for freaking $ 7.50. Not only pricy but it only came with one waffle. What kind of ingredients is this waffle made out of? Why cost so much for one waffle? It wasn’t even crispy. Soft as hell.

Yikes!!! Tonight was a different experience. I am used to a different level of service than what I am used to experiencing. From start to finish I was unhappy.
Where to begin?
— Drinks that took forever to come out
— Unappealing bread and cole slaw
— Other patrons getting food even though they came after us
— Used dishes left on the table for long periods of time
— Food that was lukewarm and mediocre (The chicken fajita wrap was terrible but I liked the meatloaf and spinach.)
— Lack of check-​in from staff
— Staff members
— The manager offered old fruit with whipped cream, sprinkles and flambé to compensate.
Service was appalling. The manager had to be called over and when he did, his own staff was slow to respond. Then the manager had the nerve to ask if we want to add a tip…
Never again!

My family’s go to place for Sunday breakfast or a late night dinner. We love everything from breakfast, to sandwiches, wings, fries, you name it they have it. Their menu is super extensive. My only critique is the ceiling. It could use some work (once the AC unit dripped condensation on one of my family members… no biggie but don’t sit under the AC’s). But the food is spot on! GOOOOOOO… :)

The food is great but the service is terrible. I mean it’s a diner so can’t expect much but when you come for breakfast you shouldn’t expect to dine for over 1.5 hours.

Used to love this place but not anymore. Came here with about 7 people for a late night meal. First of all our food took forever to come and 6 out of 7 of our meal were not warm at all. The food was not fresh and tasted pretty gross. The service was ok but then again the place was pretty empty anyway. I wouldn’t recommend this diner anymore nor do I plan to come back again.

My wife and I have been here many times usually the food is good as well as the service, This time every thing was horrible the service was the worst i have had in along time we sat for 15 minutes with out any one coming over for even a drink order. When a waitress finally came over to take order our food mozzarella sticks for an starter hot open steak sandwich for me and a chop steak for my wife the food came out like clock work it was OK not good not bad just OK no flavor after dinner we both felt flush like we ate some bad food or there was MSG in it since there are so many dinners near us we will pass this one by next time

Me and my Buddy went there for breakfast. Only two other tables in the whole place on a Sunday morning. The waitress was nice. The meal wasn’t. It was the first time I ever felt like throwing up in a diner after a meal. And I’m not even kidding, the coffee sucks, the scrambled eggs were undercooked and the worst part was the hashbrowns, they were definitely out of a can. What the he’ll is going on. You go to a diner for a hearty homemade breakfast and they give you canned hashbrowns. The shredded potatoes were also not homemade they were prepacked frozen. The only good thing was the buttered toast. I remeber this place was the retro 50’s diner. It has definitely changed. It completely sucks. I wish I had read the other reviews before I came here. There is plenty of parking in the lot because no one goes there.

I had been coming for the last month or so, once or twice a week. The service, ultimately, is not good. This last visit convinced me to put it on my «Do not return» list.
I waited for ten minutes for someone to take my order, and then another 5 minutes to be served a glass of water — and only because I got up to go ask at the hostess desk. The order, came soon enough, but I was out of water. I figured someone would be around soon to refill it… waited… waited… nothing. I got up and requested a refill with cup in hand. The waitress took my glass, filled it with water and went around me to put it on the table, while I was standing right in front of her. Just no concept of service. I left my panini untouched. Will not be back.

Great diner and great price! Linda our server is very upbeat and attentive. They serve great garlic bread and yummy coleslaw, beets and chic peas. I had eggplant Parmesan with side of linguini. The portions are huge and came with a salad and cup of soup. I was full before the entrée arrive. I also ordered a Long Island iced tea and the drink was strong. Great price, great service, and very filling. The place just needs to update on their décor.

I will never come back here again. My friend ordered a gin and tonic and got half a gin and tonic. The food was so flavorless that the water had more flavor. I got a park view burger. The peppers were drenched in oil and had no flavor. The beef seemed like it wasn’t seasoned. Overall disappointed.

Met up with a fellow couch surfer in Seagate, and after feeling sick all day, decided to get a meal here on recommendation. My friend said the food here is really good and always convenient, ²⁴⁄₇. There were so many options, I almost couldn’t decide! I finally got a Mexican Omelette with Hash browns after asking a waiter. My friend got whole wheat pancakes, and we got some coffee as well. The food came on big platters– huge portions! It was cooked really fresh, the hash browns were homemade and not frozen, the omelette big and scrumptious. Service was also excellent, waiters were fast and attentive, I will definitely come here again during late nights/​early mornings.

Service is always excellent here. The food is diner food, what would you expect? If you come here and order steak, you’re going to be disappointed. Get a burger and some onion rings, you’ll be a happy camper.

Ive always dine in here, never had a complain.
Now i try calling to place an order for delivery and who ever answers the phone keeps people waiting, as of now im still waiting its been 14 mins and still counting, really that busy on a saturday after noon, and to piss you off more they dont take online orders this so bad i am so mad about this. I always rather place an order online than call but in this case you have to call.
Now someone finally got back to me after 17 minutes and all he can say is delivery one sec, another 20 mins waiting, this is sad. Looks like they dont care about their deliveries at all, so why even have delivery if you wont care. They’re not doing they’re job right. I done with this unprofessional restaurant, finding a new place to dine in now.

I cannot stress enough how much this place fell off. It was great when it first opened and I use to come here very often but recently they got a new chef and maybe new owners. The food is not good and the service got worse too. I would not recommend eating here.

There weren’t a lot of diners left in this area. This one is very special. This diner is awesome. Every Friday night you can come here to catch the firework from Coney Island.
The waitress is super nice and courteous. Great customer service will always be appreciated. They kept the place very clean. There are a lot of parking spaces around the diner.
We enjoyed our food. the seafood platter was excellent. They even serve breakfast at night .
Just come here and try out, you won’t be regretted.

I was hungry so I decided to come and try this diner out since I always drive past it to get onto the highway. My son and I walked into the diner and waited by the door to be seated which we were within two minutes. We were brought two menus and two glasses of water. We checked out the menus and immediately decided what we were going to have for dinner.
It seemed as if my table was being ignored, everyone was running around acting busy as if the diner was filled to capacity which it wasn’t. There were about six groups of people seated in the section where I sat. I took noticed and watched how several waiters just walked by and didn’t inquire about whether I was ready to order my meal. Points taken away for that… Not pleased at all.
