Pipsqueak Children’s Shoppe

As others have said, this store is as good as it gets! Came here because it was the only place I could find in BK that sold Goldie Blox, and I tried calling several stores in the area to ask before heading out. This place was incredibly nice with a great selection for a wide group of ages, and the guy working there could not have been nicer. In terms of price, I felt fine with it for what I purchased. But really this place is magical for kids and especially for adults on the hunt for last minute birthday gifts for the kids in their lives!

Fantastic store! The owner put so much thought in this place. There are very well selected toys, clothes, baby stuff and more. I love that they carry many Hape & Plan toys stuff.
Basement is a big indoor play space. They have open play times for only $ 5 and many classes and activities. My kid and I love going there!

As others have mentioned, this shop is certainly a sign of the gentrification of this area – though it’s not as exciting for some of us who’ve been here for some time and are being priced out. I was a little stressed out when I saw this place open… definitely did NOT want a Park Slope-​esque high-​end baby store that wasn’t affordable to much of this community. But I was happy to discover that the items are reasonably priced and that I can get my newborn some cute ‘babies don’t actually need this, but parents love it’ swag AND essential items like nursing shields when I don’t have time to get to Target. The employees are very friendly as well!

I have bought gifts here for friends’ newborns a handful of times now. They sell practical items as well as things that make great gifts, and everything in the store is beautiful and high quality. I love their baby clothes, and they also have toys and clothes for older children. The owners are so nice and helpful. Their prices are not too expensive either. It is definitely my favorite store to go to for baby gift shopping.

This is a terrific store. Both the owners are lovely people, responsive and kind to customers. Agreed with all of the other rave reviews — great inventory, reasonable prices, and a lovely play space downstairs where they are beginning to offer classes for babies and toddlers. A welcome addition to the area. We’ve bought gifts for our own daughter and for other children in our life.

This was our neighborhood go to before a friend’s Baby Shower, and we were quite pleased with the selections. We don’t have children ourselves, so the owner was helpful to point out what kind of items would make great gifts to new parents. In addition, the owner even pulled up the parent’s gift registry and went through the list with us to make recommendations. Great store!

We’re so glad this place is in the neighborhood. It’s great for gifts, last minute necessities like bibs and bottles, clothes, strollers, you name it and the prices are good! It’s clear the owners have hand-​picked their inventory and they are helpful and friendly. They also host classes in their finished basement area. Highly recommended.

I popped into here with my pup one afternoon to find a birthday gift for my good friend’s toddler. The woman running the shop was very personable, and she ended up helping me find what turned out to be an excellent gift! I thought this shop might be pricy because of its appearance, but I spent a reasonable amount for what I purchased. I recommend this shop to folk like myself who are sometimes in need of creative and thoughtful gifts for children.

A great addition to the Clinton Hill/​Bed-​Stuy Neighborhood and a true sign of the the rapid gentrification in this area. Pipsqueak is a full service baby gear heaven with everything from cribs to strollers and toys and clothes. This store is for anyone ages 0 – 5 and is a fun retail addition to Bedfore Ave.
The selection in here is unique with a design-​centric feel. Some of their goodies include adorable stuffed toys, organic clothing and eco-​friendly items like bottles, bibs, pacifiers and strollers. Pipsqueak carries brands such as Aden + Anais blankets, swaddles, sheets and textiles; Wonderboy and Stun trendy boys and girls clothing; Under the Nile and Baby Soy organic infant clothing; Summer Infant grooming supplies; Dr. Brown’s bottles and pacifiers; and toys by Mattel, Fisher-​Price and Hasbro.
Owner Melissa Manning was inspired to open Pipsqueak after looking for a gift for her 1 year old cousin in this neighborhood with no luck. Since her husband’s family owns tons of children’s stores in Venezuela, Pipsqueak came into fruition naturally!
They will be offering prenatal yoga, music lessons, toddler French classes (mais oui bien sur bebe!), clothing swaps and most importantly — a sweet community for young Brooklyn moms and moms-​to-​be to hang!
