Made a reservation for 12 people here for my birthday brunch, but only 10 could make it because of a last minute emergency. Since I left my credit card when making the reservation, I was charged $ 35 per person that didn’t show up, despite the fact that the place was less than half full throughout the duration of the meal. I can understand putting such a policy in place to protect against a whole group of people from making a reservation and then not showing up, but 10 out of 12 people were there, and, as I mentioned, the place was not crowded at all. Even worse is the fact that the table we were seated at only had enough room for the 10 that were there. The service was slow for the amount of customers that were in the place, and the mimosas were watered down. The red sangria seemed to be the best value of all the brunch drinks. I ordered the Route 66, which had good flavor but wasn’t hot when it arrived to the table. I was very excited to try this place because it seemed like a good deal and the menu had a lot of interesting items, but the excitement quickly faded when we got there and were met with these issues.

My favorite brunch joint right off the Q train. Plenty of seating, delicious food, and an amazing bottomless brunch. They refill your drink before you’re finished, and you have 1.5 hours of bottomless! With tip, it’s about $ 30 for an entire meal and bottomless mimosas/white or red sangria/bloodys. Ask for Ricky, he’s a great server!

The food was good. I had the Route 66, and I enjoyed it. Only thing is the eggs were a little runny. Overall, good vibe, good prices, good food. Do the pri fixe brunch with unlimited drinks.

One of the best options in the area, Piquant gives you all you could want in a NYC area brunch. Good food, beautiful ambiance and unlimited mimosas +sangria! For my brunch entrée I ordered the obligatory steak and eggs that is served with a side salad and home fries. The steak does come out slightly over cooked so where as I like my steak medium well and I received it basically well done, next time I’ll just order a flat medium and take my chances. The French toast is delicious for anyone craving bread. The waiters do a great job at keeping your glasses full so hats off to that. Reservations highly recommended. It’s crowded during summer brunch hours.

I made a reservation a week in advance for 12:30pm we didn’t get seated till 1:05pm. The drinks we’re constantly being refilled which was great so we were glad that they were on top of that. We ordered our food about 10 – 15 minutes after our drink orders were put in, however we did not get our food, and I am not over exaggerating, till 2:21. When we asked twice all the servers AND the manager said was that the food was on its way because it was being made fresh, one waitress was even confused as to why it was taking so long and said«uhh yeah I guess it should be coming, I’ll ask the manager» but never reported back to us. None of us understood why 3 tables that sat down after us got their food and paid before we even saw our food. The menu wasn’t that big for our table to have ordered exotic or unordinary items. This is the most unprofessional restaurant I have ever dealt with. The worst thing about it is that the tip was included so we couldn’t exercise our right to tip less for the poor service. I felt so terrible because I recommend this place to my friends as a great reunion and not a single one of them were happy about the service. None of us will ever come back. As for the food I ordered the Eggs Benedict Lox which was mediocre, by the time the food got to our table it was cold. The waiter that brought our food didn’t even bother to hand each of us the right food his goal was to put the food on the table and leave as fast as he could, as if to say he has better things to do than to serve us. The French toast could have been the highlight of the meal as it was cornflake crusted but it was cold & a little soggy before I even applied syrup. As soon as the syrup touched it it got colder and soggier which was a disappointment because that meant I had to eat it fast, when all I wanted to do was savor the taste. There was one amazing waitress, and I wish I could have remembered her name because she was the only person who took care of us and apologized profusely every second she could. If we could have tipped on her we would have given the whole check to just her.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to as I went to the bathroom and none of 3 bathroom stalls work. I waited 1 hour and a half to get seated and kept getting skipped over even though constantly checked in with hostess. After hour wait for food finally received food. I was thin but then brunch arrived is this a North Korean Gulag or a restaurant. Not sure ??? It was a lot of work !!!

Piqunt is a really cute Brunch spot in Brooklyn. Apparently it gets packed and they aren’t keen on reservations so you will be taking your chances coming here. The atmosphere is bright and energetic which is always what I feel a good brunch spot needs to have. This is certainly a young/hip place to come with friends on a Saturday or Sunday. The bottomless deal is about an additional $ 10 cost on top of your entrée for 90 minutes which is cheap. This includes: mimosas, bloody Marys and/or Sangria. I decided to stick with the Mimosa which was good. For my entrée decided to go with the Steak & eggs with potatoes. I thought that the food was good but my only complaint was that it was not hot at all. My food came out pretty cold which I was not too happy about. Other than that the service was attentive and friendly. The steak wasn’t the best cut but it was seasoned very well and the eggs were good. Overall this is a good spot to brunch it with friends! I would definitely come back the menu is pretty extensive so Id like to try some other things.

It was great I really enjoyed the unlimited Mimosas, as well as other drink options a. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth for the price special they have. They have many choices you that you can choose from, you won’t be disappoint. Even the coffee n tea is offered in that special. The wait wasn’t long, but if you go late I can imagine you’ll have to wait for a table, So go early. The ambiance was nice, the waitress was very nice, every one there was very pleasant. The drinks kept coming I could hardly breath. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to other people. Nice work Brooklyn Piquant.

I had Piquant bookmarked for some time now and was really looking forward to having brunch here. Sad to say, I could have skipped them after the long build up. I arrived at about a quarter to 3PM and was seated by 3PM. The brunch menu has a good variety and the bottomless option is very attracting. I was undecided if worth getting the unlimited option since it was already 3 and the waitress made me aware that they stop serving at 4(pooped my excitement) but I went for it. I was feeling adventurous(I tend to stick to basic brunch items) and ordered the Eggs San Salvador — the combination sounded like a mouth full of flavors, so I went for it. My friend kept it simple and went with the Steak & Egg and we ordered of French toast for the table. Very sad to report my meal was a let down; there was not much trace of the onions, chimichurri sauce or the chihuahua cheese; truthfully it was quite bland. I’ve had Salvadorian pupusas, which is what i thought this was on, but it tasted more like Yuca purée(cassava). It was served with a side of home fries, salad and fruit. The home fries also lacked flavor and were overcooked. My friend was not disappointed by the Steak & Egg, great portion, good flavor and he ordered medium and it was medium perfection. My highlight at Piquant was the French toast. I enjoyed my french toast, it was very tasty. Another highlight — the waiters were trying their best to to refill the drinks when they noticed the cup was empty or almost there, that was great! The service was just okay, but maybe it has something to do with me getting there close to the ending of brunch. The space wasn’t the greatest, as we were nearly touching elbows with the patrons next to us. For me the pricing seemed quite reasonable and the place felt like a beginners brunch spot. I could never say never, but right now I’ll hold off on a return.

One of my TOP Favorite restaurants in Brooklyn! The owner is such a delight. He is very involved and über nice! The wait staff are personable, efficient and kind! The food is delicious! I’m a vegetarian so I always order the Portobello Mushroom Burger with guac and chipotle aioli(have to ask to add that to it) with a side of sweet potato fries! BRUNCHHEREISMYFAVORITE!!! Can you say BOTTOMLESS mimosas/sangria/Bloody Mary for 1.5hrs and they keep it full!(Sangria is potent) Food is truly made to order so EXPECT A LONGWAIT! Depending on how busy 30mins-1hr but the food will be hot and delicious and make the wait worth it! I am a regular!!! Trust me you’ll love it! The bartenders are also great! Check out happy hour 4 – 7 or 8(can’t remember!)

I’ve eaten here before but this time for dinner. The first time I ate here, I had an unlimited mimosa brunch with a group of great fiends. The brunch was an amazing turn up! That day, I had the standard pancakes with a side of those things the fill the tummy. This visit, I was with the boo and I happened to be on a strict diet to fit into my tux. This presented a challenge because I had to watch what I was eating. The good thing is, the options and the portions worked perfectly. I decided on the tropical Salmon on a bed of coconut rice topped with a mango chutney with asparagus on the side; what’s not to like. Absolutely excellent!!! The service, music playing in the background and everything else made the night perfect. I would recommend Piquant to all my friend and family.

You know what, I really wanted to give this place 3 +stars, but unfortunately the bad did not outweigh the good. Pro’s: We got a table right away, no reservations needed. The place has an ample amount of seating on both floors including the outdoor garden on the lower level and brunch is extended until 4 pm. The décor was very warm and inviting, it is a good environment for a date, a girls day out or a family get together, it isn’t pretentious or too over the top. AC works well, major plus! The bar also has plenty of seating too, perfect to watch a football game on sundays. There were tons of great options on the menu, entrees are only 15 bucks and unlimited sangria/blood mary or mimosas were just 10 bucks. also bottomless coffee and tea. They had variations on pancakes and French toast, poached eggs, omelets, salads and sandwiches, or meat with eggs. I ordered route 66 which came with a little bit of salad, home fries and fruit with poaches eggs and sausage on a biscuit cut in half. It was tasty, fresh, a decent portion. The biscuit was buttered and toasted to perfection, the eggs were poached perfectly, and the sausage was very filling. Bae ordered the steak sandwich with chipotle sauce, the sandwiches come with fries or a salad, the steak was very filling and was a huge portion with a nice kick, it seems more for lunch though. only a few blocks away from the q station on 7th ave. Cons: Cash only, boo! Bathroom was dirty. sure the drinks are unlimited, but it is so hard to catch a waiter in the garden for a refill, I didn’t get more than 3 refills max. our entrees took over an hour, and who wants to drink on an empty stomach? it made me sick actually. the red sangria tasted awful, it was way too tart where all I saw with lemons and limes, no orange apple or grape slices, the red wine was so cheap it gave me a headache and I felt the urge to vomit and sleep. when bae asked for home fries to be substituted for French fries, they charged us for the substitution and never even did it. we were so hungry we didn’t bother to correct the problem. the tables are shabby and outdated, we had to put napkins on the bottom to hold them still to the ground. also some tables didn’t have umbrellas and in the heat that blows. oh and I think half the customers almost got attacked by a swarm of bees, not comfortable at all. took us over a half hour just to get the bill, they need more staff for two floors. overall the bill came out to 52 bucks without a tip. I would only come back here for the 2 for 1 margaritas and wing deals, I probably wouldn’t do brunch again tbh.

I came here for a birthday brunch with some friends on Sunday. Despite our group not being entirely present until about 15 min past our reservation time, the staff were all incredibly pleasant and accommodating and happily prepared a table for us in the backyard. The outdoor space was huge and a great atmosphere with lots of tables and a small waterfall. Our waitress was attentive and our food came out quickly. We got the unlimited drinks special and they kept the drinks flowing constantly. The food wasn’t the most amazing food I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t bad either and combined with all the other perks of this spot, it’s a place I’d definitely return to.

Buttermilk channel was plan A for yesterday’s boozy brunch shenanigans. But considering the fact that I had a party of 12 and almost nowhere in Brooklyn(including buttermilk) can accommodate a party above 8 piquant won by default. So the experience started a few days ago. When I called piquant to inquire about reservations. The person who answered the phone explained we would need to leave a credit card and would be charged $ 35 for every person that didn’t show up. Where am I making reservations at? Buckingham palace? I understand being charged if the party doesn’t show up but you want to hold me financially accountable for every single person in my party? I wish someone would try to charge me for that. The guy on the phone explained you can buy brunch with or with out unlimited. This guy had the nerve to say«we Don’t encourage not buying package that comes with drinks» guy, why would we give a F what you«encourage»!? How presumptuous. So my party arrives and is seated immediately. Our server comes and takes our order. When you sit down at a restaurant one of the first things that should happen is the guests should be given water. Not at piquant, I had to ask twice for water and it got there right before the food did. Unacceptable! We’re sitting outside and It’s 80+ degrees bring the water out as you seat the party. About the food. I ordered the apple cinnamon pancakes. Which was just pancakes with apple sauce, THATSIT. I’ve never seen a more incomplete brunch entrée or any entrée for that matter. No bacon or anything to go with the pancakes. $ 25 for some Mediocre pancakes, what a joke. A few people in my party got pancakes or French toast but they didn’t bring us any syrup. We waited so long that I just got up and grabbed the syrup myself. I know they didn’t think that apple sauce was in Lieu of syrup. Rule #1 with bottomless mimosa brunches, KEEPTHEDAMNMIMOSASFLOWING. Too many times we had 6 or 7 people at our table with empty glasses looking around for someone to fill them. It got to the point where I just started walking to the bar and refilling my own glass. The server said«let me do it I’m going to get in trouble if the boss sees». Sorry not sorry, if you can’t keep my glass full I will. Maybe their understaffed, maybe its strategic to limit how much of the product we consume. All I know is 20+ mins is too long to wait for a refill if your advertising all you can drink. Piquant gets a 2.5, I got poor value for my money food wise and the service sucked. Most of my friends enjoyed their entrees and the outdoor space was really nice and shaded well but those were the only pluses about the experience. Once again, pancakes with Apple sauce is not a meal. For 35 I can eat at any AYCD brunch spot in Manhattan or Brooklyn, actually be served a complete meal AND have my drink refilled more often than every 30 mins. I won’t be coming back here for brunch.

If I could give zero stars I would. I’m not going to bash this place but my personal experience here was terrible! Last time I decided to come here the wait was 45 minutes so I ended up going to Elberta which is just up the block, so I thought it would only be fair to give piquant a chance this time around. I surely regret it! They offer a $ 15 prix fixe menu and you can add bottomless mimosas/sangrias for $ 10 I was annoyed at the lack of diversity on the menu. None of the meal combinations were appealing to me besides the basic eggs with choice of bacon/sausage/ham. Nothing is more annoying than being told you can’t get your food with or without certain items because«it just comes with it» Also the bottomless deal is really useless if you decide to come late. Once it’s 4 o clock, all drinks stop flowing. That to me was absurd because when we went to Elberta the drinks were flowing for two consecutive hours regardless of the time. Which brings me to my BIGGEST issue with this place. I practically had to keep begging for my glass to be refilled! If I only have one hour of unlimited drinks then I expect them to be constantly flowing! It’s as if the servers are instructed to not refill too often. And there was one server who was DELIBERATELY walking past our table to go pour drinks to the table next to us. I was getting visibly annoyed and my boyfriend told me to calm down but after the 4th or 5th time he blatantly walked pass our table, even he realized it was intentional. Just a HORRIBLEEEEEE experience!!! I’m annoyed just writing this. $ 60 for breakfast for 2 people is extremely STEEP and was not even worth a penny! And as if I wasn’t already fuming, our waitress had the AUDACITY to bring back our check and say«tip is not included» Tip for what??? Not that trash service and food I received. I’m angry I even gave this place a chance. Save your money! Or Go to El Berta right up the block for good food and attentive servers!!!

When you come here, make sure you have one of the good waiters, because ours wasn’t as great as the others(not mentioning any names), but next time we will request a different waiter if we get the same one. Otherwise, the food and drinks were good. It is a great brunch spot that offers a bottomless brunch and appetizing menu at an affordable cost. We were seated outside after a 10 – 20 minute wait and it was very pleasant… beautiful weather and chill vibes. There were plenty of tables(all occupied) with umbrellas or trees above to use as shade(a tiny leaf fell inside our glass of water and a small branch from the tree above fell on my boyfriend’s shoulder… lol). We waited about 30 – 45 minutes for our food after we ordered(we were told the food will be delayed and we ordered as soon as we were seated). By the time our food arrived, the bottomless drinks ended(at 4PM), so our waiter said it was the last round. The other waiters, however, continued to pour drinks for other customers(past 4PM, included in bottomless menu) and treated them very pleasantly saying phrases like, «I don’t want your glass to ever be empty!» The food was good. We already had 4 – 5 glasses of mimosas each(while we waited for our food) so we pretty much devoured the burrito and blackstone salmon benedict we ordered. I also asked for tea with sugar but was given it with milk instead. We needed ketchup but I just grabbed the bottle from the table next to ours after they left. The food and drinks were pretty good but the service was poor(mainly our waiter). We paid in cash and was waiting to get our change back, but never got it from the waiter, so we just left. He probably thought we would not give him a tip for his poor service(he knew he gave poor service), but we always tip good, so he is at a loss!

I’ve been here several times, and for the price you simply cannot beat it with a stick!(Not that you’d be sober enough to hit anything, ANYWAY…) Piquant has a HUGE seating area; tables in the front near the bar, seating downstairs AND a large, well-done seating area outside for the warmer times of the year. AYCD brunch lasts two full hours, quick service, great food(note: last time I went here I was just vegetarian, so it would be interesting to see what they could offer me now) and they serve great sangria along with your average assortment of bellinis, mimosas, and bloody Marys. Not sure where the(currently) 3-star rating is coming from, they are definitely a solid 4+ star in my — several — experiences here.
