AMAZINGPLACE!!! I threw my work party at Prospect and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. The food was excellent and the service was amazing and the drinks just kept on flowing. From beginning to end of planning for the party and having it(including having actual dinner there) Prospect team took care of it all. Thank you prospect!

I came here for Mother’s Day brunch and it was terrific. I also came back for dinner on a Friday night with the same pleasurable outcome. Good menu selection and portions that are reasonably priced. Had the Eggs Benedict that was very good(subbed bacon for smoked salmon and added avocado), the pretzel appetizer, and the chicken pot pie. The pot pie was good, but it did need a little bit of table salt which I added and it was fine. Drinks are well priced too, and not skimpy! The place is clean, spacious, and they have a nice outdoor area as well. Staff is very friendly, our guy Ricky was great both times we were there. This is a great neighborhood place that is unpretentious and has a nice vibe. I will be returning to this place often.

I have been here twice, once on a weekend and recently on a weeknight, so two very different experiences. It was pretty crowded on the weekend and fairly dead on a Thursday night around 830‑1030. They have a nice drink menu and I had a delicious Kale Caesar salad($ 10). I like that in addition to the long bar area there is seating by the windows in the front, and plenty of tables and booths. Really a nice spot to hang out for any reason.

ATMOSPHERE: Pretty spacious, dimly lit. It could definitely serve as HH for coworkers or a casual yet classy first date spot. DRINKS: HH specials are fantastic. I was able to get a martini for $ 6, and for well vodka, it was actually pretty tasty. Like it a little dirty and bartender did not go overboard on the olive juice, which, yay! FOOD: Full menu for dinner and brunch. Haven’t done the brunch yet, but from the other Unilocaler reviews, it seems like I should be checking it out soon. OVERALL: Great neighborhood spot.

I’m forever on the hunt for places that feel cozy and unfussy, and make good food. This is one of those places. They’ve got a solid tap beer menu with rotating seasonal options, a super delicious, juicy, totally un-hockeypucklike burger(that, Hallelujah!, actually came out medium-rare as requested — a rarity imo), and a sweet brunch, from what I’ve heard. It feels cozy in the winter because of the dark wood and warm lighting, and is a nice spot in summer because of the back patio. If you’re looking for a place to hang out and fill your belly with tasty stuff, give this spot a shot.

I am visiting from out of town and this place and food was mediocre. When we arrived we stood there waiting to be seated. Then we were told to sit wherever. We probably waited another 10 minutes until we saw our waitress. She was not very engaging. She took our order and never brought me my drink. I had to ask a second time. Then when our food did come she disappeared and never even asked us if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. After we were done eating I had to ask for the check. She brought it but never came back again. I had to go find her to pay. Maybe she just didn’t want to be there. I won’t go back and I won’t recommend this place. I’m sure there is much better somewhere in Park Slope.

Second time my wife and I went here. 1st was for dinner and yesterday was for brunch. Both times were good experiences although I found the Bloody Mary’s to be «soft» and tasted a bit like marinara instead of tomato juice but other than that. It was a good experience.

All of the food was GREAT and priced well. When we walked in it was much brighter and modern than I had expected it to be. I got the chicken tender appetizer and it was a mountain of delicious. They also had a great beer list and comfy seats. The only grief I’d say is that the service was just okay, but still nothing that would deter me from going back. A good, solid spot.

I like this spot a lot. They have a nice outdoor patio which I always enjoy in the warmer months. The restaurant is super spacious and has a nice welcoming vibe. Solid beer selection

I love Prospect because it’s reliably delicious, affordable, clean, and has friendly staff. I would order anything off the menu without question whether it’ll be good or not — everything at Prospect is solid. Most recently I came here with my mom and aunt, and I ordered wings, which were surprisingly spicy for a person that loves heat. My mom got chicken fingers which came with 7 — 8 pieces(perfectly crispy), and a side of brusslesprouts, which were also delicious. My aunt got a big kale salad, we were all happy. Normally I go for brunch. Yes $ 4 bloody Mary’s and mimosas is the greatest thing ever. Although the bloody upgrade comes with bacon and is worth it. I love everything on the brunch menue especially the burrito & eggs Benedict — home fries/potatoes rock!

Always service with a smile! Food is top notch, beer is great, atmosphere is just right. We had our baby shower here and have had numerous other brunch, dinner experiences at Prospect. It’s was SO good that I had to share the good news. There ya have it!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday — great atmosphere, great service, pretty standard brunch fare. Had the eggs Benedict and the duck hash, they were yummy but not anything crazy good. A solid option for brunch on the weekend, wasn’t too crowded either so no wait for a table.

Huge restaurant with a nice, warm space. Went here for brunch with some friends. The menu isn’t particularly inspired, but it has your typical brunch fare and they do a good job with it. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. It was very good and I especially liked that it came not only with the standard home fries, but also a fruit salad which did a nice job of cutting through the richness of the dish. Service was very prompt, up until we finished and needed the bill, the staff vanished on us. For being a brunch place in Park Slope, they aren’t very busy, which is a nice change from having long waits at some of the other places. Then again, they are fairly new, so who knows what it’ll be like in a few months. Would come back again for dinner.

I’ve been to Prospect dozens of times. The bacon blue cheese burger is reliably awesome. The kale Cesar salad is very good and pretty unique even though kale is so trendy these days. I like it so much I’ve replicated the dressing at home. But don’t worry, walking in and having a beer and salad at Prospect is still my go-to.

A friend and I went to Beet2 got dinner, and had an awful time. His food was overcooked and mine had bugs crawling in it. We hightailed it out of there and made our way to Prospect. We ordered food and was extremely pleased. Great staff. Good drinks. Wonderful food. Will definitely return.

Let me start that by saying we’ve come here for years. The bartenders and servers have always been amazingly kind, attentive, super friendly and awesome at their jobs. The kitchen has always been a problem. God forbid you request fries with your burger during brunch. The poor servers literally look like they’re going to be executed if they ask for a special request. The kitchen clearly runs the show, they must be culinary experts OR the gas bills is insane which means they can’t turn on the fryer until 4p. But that is insane. Which leads me to today. We were sitting at the back picnic table right next to the TV. We get the cheese plate with the bacon compote, oranges, and an additional bacon compote that we didn’t ask for. My wife and mother in law love the compote. I said the second one(covered under the oranges) looks like it came from a previous plate. It was clearly eaten. My mother in law, never one to complain, said no, perhaps they scooped out and it looked like that. I worked in bars and restaurants for years — someone ate out of this. Regardless, she ate it. Big regret. The table to our left had their food come out and their salad was clearly the best of compilation from previous salads and the trash. Cool. Mercifully, the server took care of that table, but clearly, a server QC’ing the food before it goes to a table is too much — the kitchen most likely yelled at them to deliver it. All in all, it is pretty sad. Prospect is a beautiful bar with WONDERFUL front of house staff. Their INSANE rules about meal requests during certain hours and awful kitchen turnout today make it a place we question if we’ll ever eat at again.

My friend lives nearby and he presented this place for dinner. The space is pretty new and has a lot of beers on tap and the selection is pretty well selected-Old Speckled Hen, don’t see that too much. I ordered the Shepherd’s pie and I thought it was okay. I thought it was a little small for my taste and I was still a little hungry after eating Shepherd’s pie. Fortunately, my friend didn’t finish his chicken tenders which were pretty good. If you’re here to drink, it’ll work. Food wise, I might give it another chance if my buddy suggests it again.
