Very clean and calming environment. Dimly lit, large private rooms and sweet, professional staff. I’ve been wanting to drop in here for awhile, as I have issues with the occasional stiff upper back/neck. The $ 30⁄30 minute massage did wonders. My massage therapist was strong and firm(in a good way) and she made sure to work out all the knots during our session. The warming lotion and hot towel were the icing on the cake! Would definitely recommend — you can’t beat the price. I’ll be returning next time I have issues with my back.

I go for a massage pretty regularly and love it! I always get this heavy set man(didn’t catch his name), but he’s very good at finding knots and kinks without having to talk too much. My chiro even remarked that my back looked a lot better after I started going to him on a regular basis. Very fair price, although some people may not like the thin walls and semi-private rooms(curtains, not doors). Like everyone said, it’s no frills, good honest massage. I highly recommend.

Great massage for the price and it is very nice to have actual walls instead of screens separating the clients especially when you’re buck naked. I can’t give 5 stars because that’s reserved for Opal-status massages. Also the woman today used a whole lotta arm bone and elbow on my back. Not so wonderful.

Walked in. Started putting down my purse. Saw a little black curly hair on the sheet. Walked out.

Solid massage for a very low price. $ 45 for one hour of deep massage? HELLO! Doesn’t get better than that. Of course, the place isn’t a haven. You can hear others getting their massages as the«rooms» are partitioned walls. On that note, I’d hate to massage men because they are noisy when getting massaged. Definitely gross to hear. But, you do get your own private space/room, and the masseuse works very hard. It’s more than worth the money!

Actual walls, light music, inexpensive massage; what’s not to like?

Park Slope has a variety of massage options, but this place is my absolute favorite. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it is strictly massage(and acupuncture if you ask). The rooms are clean and sparse, and the staff all Chinese. It is a regular semi-monthly massage treatment for me, as I have a permanent injury that needs constant upkeep(upper back/shoulder). $ 45 an hour for a great massage; tell them what ails you prior(use the chart on the wall near the door to make communication easier) and you will get a great therapeutic massage. The women are as strong as the men and can work out all the kinks easily. My recommendation: do the 60 minutes for the full massage, then add 30 for a relaxing finish that includes a facial and head massage. They do use a non-scented massage cream, which is removed with a steaming hot towel at the end of the massage(that hot towel feels great). They do other methods of massage as well, including hot stone treatment. You will leave relaxed and renewed, just like the name says. One note: they don’t take AMEX.

I’ve had my fair share of cheap hole-in-the wall massage places in the city. No frills, no chit-chatting. Imagine my surprise when I walked into this $ 45/hour place and it had *real walls*. Awesome, right? I immediately got assigned to a woman, she worked on me for 10 mins and we heard some commotion in the hallway. It sounded like someone else wanted a woman masseuse and so she switched with a guy. Ooookkay. Sure. Whatever. So the guy comes in and continues, but basically started over and does the same thing she already did. He continued to complete my entire massage through the sheet. I’ve had tons of massages at tons of different types of spas/holes-in-the wall, but I never ever had someone leave the sheet on my entire body the entire time. It was pinchy and felt like I was getting rug burn. I wanted to speak up but for 45 bucks you really can’t complain, right? I couldn’t wait for it to be over and just won’t be going back.

Spa is misleading. It’s a clean and quiet, no frills massage spot and I love it. $ 45/hour. You cannot go wrong! Just speak up if they are too firm or too light, as in any massage they are not mind readers. Wendy will leave you in a relaxed puddle. I go here at least once or twice a month.

The massage was 3 or 3.5 stars but the price earned it 4 – it was only $ 30 for 30 minutes! The girl who helped me was really nice and i didn’t need to make an appointment. I also really appreciate the fact that they have actual walls up instead of screens. I’ll probably go back!

I’m pretty picky with massages, but I will not pay a lot of money for one. All I care about is the quality of the actual massage, not the swankiness of the spa itself. This place is great! It definitely looks a bit shady from the outside, but it’s very clean inside with separated rooms(not just a shabby curtain). The massage itself was terrific — I asked for medium strength(I’m a wuss when it comes to pain, so full strength is usually too strong for me) and it was the perfect amount of pressure. She worked out all of the knots in my back with no pain whatsoever. My only complaint is that the pillow where your head rests was not the most comfortable thing in the world, but I can deal with that. I will be frequenting this place for sure!

I work a ton and have a really tense shoulders. I need a massage every 3 weeks or so, hence I care about good massage for value! $ 55 for a 60 min massage. This is a cheap Chinese massage type of place, but it’s the best one in the area because: 1) you are actually in a separate room — no cheap ikea looking screens separating you from the next person. These are real walls! 2) great massage. Been here 5x or so, been great each time! Compared to other massage places in the neighborhood: Sunshine — Renew is better for the same price. I used to come here all the time, but the massage is fairly inconsistent. Opal — great massage but alot more expensive — $ 90 for 70 minutes.
