Not sure what the bad reviews are about. This pharmacy is the best in the neighborhood. Prescriptions are done within 20 minutes compared to cvs on 9th which is over priced and takes 7 hours to fill a prescription

Really kind staff, always helpful; nicest staffers at any Rite Aid I’ve ever visited.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are for. This is my favorite pharmacy in the area. CVS on 9th street price gauges, meanwhile this Rite Aid has everything and doesn’t seem to price based on being in Park Slope. The prices are more on par with a Rite Aid outside of the city and they actually have sales and deals too.

This is the worst Rite Aid. Horrible customer service and expect to wait in a long line. Staff eats food while ringing you up

This place is the WORST! There is ALWAYS a huge line. There will be 4 employees just standing around while the line wraps around the store.

While I agree there are long lines in general, the pharmacy staff is excellent. Minos went out of his way to make sure I got my medication in time before my trip, which means everything!

Worst customer service at cashwraps. Prepare to be ignored while cashiers with a 2nd grade understanding of English direct their attention to talking about last night at da «club».

I came here to take advantage of the Lindt candy bar sale and buy 90% cocoa bars for $ 2 each. They only had two bars left which was two more than at the Newkirk Avenue branch… hmmm… I found the cashier to be quite friendly. Like CVS it seems they raise the prices, then bring them back to the somewhat normal range when having one of their many sales.

I’ve been coming to this Rite Aid for so many years and it’s always been my favorite of all the drugstores in «The Slope». They have everything I need, they’re 24 hours, and because I spend so much money here, they’ve given me 20% off my purchases with their loyalty card! How can I not want to shop here?! Discounts are what I live for! Anyway, yes sometimes the line can be crazy long but they always have everything and it’s super convenient for me because I live a block away! :)

10 minutes waiting at empty drop off(employee busy heating coffee in microwave). 45 minutes waiting for RX fill. The 5 people who dropped off RX’s after me got theirs and left. When I went to the counter the employee said they weren’t not filled yet. Asked for prescriptions back and suddenly they say the pharmacist is «checking» it. Liars. Took almost 10 minutes more. Should have gone to Neergard.

This place is great if you like getting treated like an a-hole for absolutely no reason.

I saw a little girl crying here. She wanted to buy a doll but it was too expensive so her mother said«no» and the poor little dear just lost her shit. But I get it, I was a kid once(though I couldn’t care less about a stupid doll). What does that have to do with my review? Absolutely nothing. I came here and it had everything i needed and I didn’t have to wait too long to check out. Most Rite Aids in Brooklyn it’s like buying bread in Soviet Russia. You stand in line forever while your soul gets just a little blacker and more crushed with each passing minute. However, I lucked out when I came here and didn’t have to wait so that’s a good thing. It was also very well stocked.

I constantly forget how terrible this place is until I am actually inside of it. The line for the regular merchandise is a joke. The actual pharmacy section is worse. They never seem to have any medication in stock. I recently went down the block to the Neergard(sp?), after needing an emergency refill that would have taken 5 days at this Rite Aid… The other pharmacy had the medication ready in an hour for my usual copay. THANKYOU. This is basically a heads up for those of us that need the pharmacy. We do not need to rely on this Rite Aid. As for the rest of the store… I will purchase my odds and ends in the supermarket. Screw you, Rite Aid.

What is wrong with this store? Not only is the customer service horrible but the pharmacy takes forever. I was there today and waited nearly 40 minutes for a 12 tablets prescribed by the local walk-in center. Today I actually watched as the woman(Gladys) at the pharmacy told an elderly woman with a cane that she didn’t have a refill so she needed to call her doctor. The woman then replied that the doctor would be in as it was a Tuesday. Gladys then told her to «come back in 3 hours, maybe» and wouldn’t give the woman a straight answer as to whether or not she would get her prescription even if she did come back in three hours. She waited for a while and kept trying to clarify and got chastised a few times by the pharmacy rep(‘well, you shouldn’t have waited until last minute’) — no understanding that this lady might have forgotten or not realized — she looked at least 80+ years old! How is that an acceptable way to treat someone? This is not the first time I have seen or been a part of an incident at this store. It seems like their location means they feel they will always make money whether they treat people well or not — but this Rite Aid gives the brand a bad name. Hopefully they will get new management and make it a decent place to do business.

Horrible customer service. Always a long line because there are such few cashiers at the counter. No one is in the mood to help. The only reason I go here is because it’s close by and convenient specially if you just want some basics. Be prepared to wait in line always!

Can I ever come here and there isn’t a long line to buy one simple thing? Can I ever come here and there is more than two people working the registers with miserable faces!

Terrible service. As everyone else has said, there is always a long checkout line because they apparently don’t have enough cashiers. The shelves are poorly stocked, and the employees aren’t very helpful. Go down the street to Neergaard for much better service.

OK, I get it. The chain pharmacy/convenience store is not all about the 100% client first experience. However, I think the least you can do is have your shelves well-stocked and put a smile on your face when a customer actually approaches you with a question. Everyone here may as well have«Piss Off» written across their foreheads because I can definitely assure you they do not want to be there. There’s always a line, and the store isn’t very organized or well stocked. Its the go-to place when the nearby discount stores won’t cut it.

The lines are always long because there’s always one person behind the cash register(two if you’re lucky) so it takes forever to buy anything! If you find yourself in a situation where you’re doctor calls you up and says, «Quick! Run to a pharmacy to pick up a perception that will save your life!» Please don’t go to this specific pharmacy! Trust me you’ll end up dead waiting to purchase it, you’re better off going to the CVS up the block if anything. I mean the people that work there are nice, and the products are common items you’d see at any Right Aid store. It’s just that the lines are always extended to aisle 17 do to fact that there’s hardly anyone behind the counter. So until they have more people working behind the cashier I guess this will be a typical Rite Aid to go to. But until then I hope another car(w/good insurance) crashes into this Rite Aid(BUTNOONEGETSHURT.)

Too few, and too unskilled. That describes the employment situation. Often things are left un-stocked on shelves due to the aforementioned note, which adds to the frustration of typically waiting in a line around the store for 15 minutes just to pay. Really not happy, but I’m semi-forced to go here for some things, due to prices.
