Lines have gotten much better. Great sale prices on items, usually in & out of the store, far better than the Walgreens on 94th/95th St.

This review is for the 3rd shift overnight crew. Tonight at around 2:24am I stopped in RiteAid in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and purchased some lip balm and tried to get $ 30 cash back. The cashier who helped me who I believe might’ve been a latino man in his 30’s was extremely rude to me. He said his register didn’t have enough money in it so he would try to give me cash back on another register without scanning anything after he rolled his eyes at me for asking for cash back. He told me to hit none for cash back and we moved to another register and it didn’t work. We tried 3 times and he said it’s not working rudely and he walked away and began putting things on the shelves instead of helping me. I have never had such rude service at this location. Not one time until tonight. I didn’t get his name but he needs lessons in customer service. I had to leave without getting any cash back and the guy was extremely rude for no reason. I went over to him and asked him why I couldn’t get any cash back and he wouldn’t even look at me and shrugged his shoulders and said the registers aren’t working. I don’t believe this and it’s not a good enough answer to a paying customer.. This man shouldn’t be working with customers with such a bad attitude and I was the only customer in the store at this time so it wasn’t busy.

Yes the lines are sometimes so slow that I leave. We must ask, «Why is this line so slow?» Well my most recent answer was that it was 12:31AM and a woman wanted sale prices on cat food that ended at 12AM. Usually it is a customer that causes problems. I have lived here for ten years and I am pretty sure I can say the customers are often very difficult. It is close to me, it is open 24 hours(store only) and the people are nice to me. It was worse many years ago, I would go out of my way to go to Walgreens instead. It has improved drastically. In the past I have not liked some of the staff. The«security» who had followed me around several times was very off putting. Once I was there and an old man was stealing EYESHADOW! I caught him and told security. Too bad they were busy judging someone else.

1 star Staff is so rude and nasty for no reason Will never go there again And the management really needs to take a look at how employees work They have a western union in the store, today an old lady was just asking for help with sending or receiving money They were just ignoring her, when I came to the register to pay I asked a cashier why they were ignoring her and told him to help her first! omg, he looked at me like at a piece of sht, with such an attitude… seriously After throwing my change at me without saying something he finally decided to help that old lady by calling a manager ! Such a nasty people If the management of this pharmacy cares about their customer service he needs to talk to the cashier about some norms of behavior! it happened on August 202014 at around 4:30−5 pm

UPDATED1÷5÷2013 They’ve made some great new hires in staff, the stock situation has improved a lot and they’ve made renovations that have improved the look and feel of the store overall. The lines still can be long at times but the weekly deals are sometimes worth waiting in line as well as the Rite Aid rewards card that takes money off of each purchase which definitely adds up in the customers’ favor. A for improvement, B overall Rite Aid. Nice job. This review like the store and staff is perfunctory, at best. It’s two blocks from my home so I go. They are never NOT unloading stock, yet always seem to be out of stock on things I need without fail: Diet Coke, folks. Your customers drink Diet Coke, it would behoove you to buy more and, whoa SELL more than the dozens of 2 Liters and 12 packs of Mug Root Beer you have collecting dust. That being said: there is never enough staff at the registers and there is one competent woman whom I pray to «get» while I am in the never-ending line that is ever present and another issue that would be quite easy to resolve: the staff hanging around the store? Train them to use the register. More staff. Train them. Fill in stock during off-hours. Easy solutions.

In a recent visit to the area, I had no choice but to stop by this pharmacy, and to my surprise one of the employees kept pounding on my head pushing for the flu shots. I was like, now you incompetent people you care about my health!!! Where are they when they make a mistake, or delay dispensing a medication? You won’t hear from them, of course. They hide. So… I politely declined, but this didn’t worked. Now they are becoming like these annoying marketers, they call you at home and they keep calling. It got to the point, where I left the stuff that I intended to purchase and told the employee to learn how to be professional versus an incompetent saleswoman. Luckily, there are other smaller hassle-free pharmacies few blocks away, and that did the job for the day. Incompetent chain at best!

This place has made a STEADY effort to improve its customer service. Yes, the lines get long sometimes and might even move slowly, but over the last 6 to 10 months, they are efficiently getting better at handling the overflow. Also, nice reminders like. «oh, that is buy one get one free», scores them good points.

I never write reviews but for this I had to. Riteaid Bay Ridge Pharmacy department is by far the WORST I’ve experienced to date. Besides the fact they never have what you need in stock, the pharmacist are useless and nasty. I dropped off a prescription and had a few questions. The pharmacist named Lulu(or lou lou) had me yelled my questions from the window to her. When I asked her to please come over to the window because I had more questions she responded with«I’m too busy to answer your questions right now» then turned around and ignored me. She left me standing at the drop off window for 10 minutes. When I called her over again she put earphones in her ear and completely ignored me. In all the years I have never experienced this behavior. They should not have people like this interacting with customers, especially when it comes to prescriptions. As for the rest of the store, the place is never stocked, dirty and always has way too many crates in the aisles, which are usually blocking the item you’re trying to get to. You can never find someone who works there to help you. Therefore, I end up walking out empty handed

Still pretty incompetent, but my laziness trumps everything. Still a Rite-Aid customer.

I only go to Rite Aid if the other stores are closed. It’s usually for one item and whenever I go there I seem to find the time of day when there is only one cashier who is working extremely slow and a line of people. Overpriced and understaffed…

Man this place is a titanic piece of trash! Everytime I go in here there are lines or someone wants to return something and does not know enough english then you have the manager who speaks next to no english when the line has 40 plus people in it. So now we get into a whole bit of what I imagine a UN conference is like. The place is never stocked always dirty, shitty 70’s songs, etc, etc. I mean this list could go on forever

Oh Rite Aid… Its not that I hate you… its that I hate you. Here is the deal, I have like no other choices near my place unless I wanna go up the super busy 86th street. Now, this leads to a bit of a problem of they know they are the only show it town and act like it. I have never waited in longer lines at any store like this before I moved to BR. The Pharmacy seems to always be out of almost everything, so if you need to fill an Rx, you end up waiting like 2 to 3 days for it to be ordered in. The store always seemed like it hasnt been stocked in 2 days, and its just in general disarray. Now, when Walgreen’s moves in down the street, its not going to be pretty for Rite Aid. I say it might last half a year aftewords, but the outlook is not good. Maybe Keyfoods will move in there. :)
