I go here whenever I am in the neighborhood. It’s not the freshest sushi I’ve ever had but it’s very good for the price

It’s pretty cheap, but good for what I’m paying. Eel avocado is sometimes bad, the fish isn’t so good. However every other roll besides Eel is very good!

cheap, close to my house, been coming here for years… but honestly it is not a fancy place, it needs renovation… but me and my husband love order delivery to our house.

If i could give it zero stars, I would. After over an hour of waiting for the sushi, it arrived and tasted absolutely dreadful. I’ve had bad sushi before, but this was by far the worst. DONOTORDERFROMHERE! unless you want to starve waiting and then be disgusted once it arrives.

Where else can you find cheap sushi in this neighborhood besides here. This place is cheaper than Umi on Brighton 1st. Been coming here for years and never had a problem with them except the sashimi aren’t fresh at times. I liked it more before the renovation; the booth was more comfortable and gave more privacy. Overall, this place isn’t too bad.

Overall a good experience. Prices for sushi are reasonable and even cheaper than others around the neighborhood. I usually order a few rolls from the $ 2.50 menu and it always fill me up. This restaurant is kind of small but quite clean and organized. Some waitresses are limited in English but their service aren’t bad. I suggest ordering for take out, you can get your order faster.

I wouldn’t have come here if I had first looked on Unilocal. The pix are disgusting. But thankfully I didn’t find any roaches. The food was okay. Not great. Just okay. Service was fine. I’m less concerned about service than I am cleanliness. This place doesn’t feel clean. At least it was cheap. I got the lunch special. I probably won’t come here again. There’s got to be better options. This is below average — but not too terrible.

If could give a zero I would. So this is the only decent sushi place, so I thought, around the neighborhood… ordered delivery was eating my food until I picked up a piece of sushi and a roach starts crawling around from beneath it… so I call and am told that’s im possible, lol, okay now I go there pics, video, and dead roach, crushed with the brown paper bag the food came in, in tow. Uploading pics, dont think I can upload the vid… made an account just to post th his and let people know to stay away from this dirty place… as if the roach wasn’t bad enough… the dumb ass woman there then tried insulting me saying«u have no money, u have no money», in the worst English imaginable. .not my fault you dont speaky the englissss. .and u cant write down a sequence of numbers correctly. Dumb ass.

As a local I have been going here for years with friends and family. This is a small joint in brighton so by no means is it a five star resturant but the food is still filling and worth it. I may be bias because I know the staff and chiefs and they know my brother and I but hey they have decent items on the menu. The special rolls are great try the summer, samurai, bagel, dragon, or Hawaii rolls these are favorites. Miso soup, edamame, and desserts like fried cheese cake and mochi ice cream are always on the list of things that are ordered with every meal. This is a place were its easy to go and get cheap good food. The place is comfy! Plus the service is spectacular. So yea it may not be a fancy Japanese resturant like you may find in the city but if your in the area and want some fast filling japanese food come here you won’t regret it! Five stars because its like home for me.

Okay so the only reason I go to this place(or used to go) is because it’s by my job and its easy to get to. Service is usually a bit slow but I didn’t mind because prices at the sushi place by where I live are beyond exorbitant for mediocre food. I let the slow service pass because that time usually went towards making the food look presentable(a plus in my book). The waitresses barely speak english beyond what they memorized from the menu. The food isn’t spectacular but its on Brighton so I let it pass. HOWEVER, My major qualm, the main reason why I am never stepping foot into that place again is the deal breaker of all deal breakers: sanitary conditions. Last friday my friend and I walk in and order our usuals. Not only do we wait a while but when my friend gets her food she notices a bug on her sashimi. She asked me to look just in case she was acting paranoid… it was indeed a bug. When I check my food, I realize the lettuce on my plate can double as a bug hotel. They weren’t full blown cockroaches but the teeny tiny ones. So both of us call over the waitress and ask what the hell is going on. She then incriminates the entire joint by saying that, and I paraphrase, «this happens a few times before we are sorry but we cant find them all the time» This took me some time to take in. Just by what she said I can deduce; 1) THISHAPPENEDBEFORE!!! 2) They find it difficult keeping their fish and other produce clean. 3) they have fed bug infested food to people unbeknownst to both chefs and patrons. 4)THISHAPPENED… BEFORE!!! My friend and I throw a huge stink about how people can get seriously ill and the only thing they could say was«if anything happens bring the hospital bill». –_– And when we asked to speak to the manager, it was the guy who prepared the sushi who spoke not a lick of English. NEVERAGAIN am I stepping foot in there… and unless you guys want a side of E. coli with your sashimi I suggest you avoid at all costs.

meh. go to chikurin on ave M. this place is small, the price is ok, but you get more bang for your buck at chikurin. it says a lot when a place this size isnt even remotely full for dinner.

Here’s the thing, before the renovation based on nothing but catering to the style preferences of the psuedoeclectic locals, this was a decent place to eat. The only reason I give 2 stars is because I remember what it used to be. Otherwise, no stars is in the realm of a compliment for what’s left of Sachiko. You WILL wait eons for food that’s already prepared but needs 40 minutes worth of arts and crafts time to make it stylish enough to take out to your table. Along with inattatentive wait staff and merely OK food, Id recommend you take your hard earned buck elsewhere. And don’t order out either, they’re all around snoozers. Also, my girlfriend ordered a spicy tuna roll, no crunch. Instead it came with avocado as a means to save on 3 cents of tuna. Cheap. Oh and the wait time for that tuna roll? 45 minutes. Get it together, guys, its not Reinaissance sculptures we’re trying to chow on. In the end the service still beats Umi a block away. At least they make an effort to be nice.
