Sampson Funeral Inc. took care of my Uncle on 1÷10÷2015. He was really sick in his final days and we as worried about what he was going to look like at the viewing. We were shocked when we viewed the body and he looked like he did when he was healthy. He looked fantastic and peaceful. They were caring and compassionate. They gave us so many nice keepsakes. A candle with is picture on it, a plaque engraved with his picture on it and many other items for us to treasure. They were awesome…

Sampson Funeral Services was stellar at every step of the way when it came to the proceedings following my Grandmother’s passing.
They were sensitive to our emotional state from the moment we walked in. Although I understand funerals are their business, they were compassionate at all times & helped us grieve, find solace, and attain closure in a manner that conveyed empathy. They did this through their words, body language, attentiveness, and actions.
Their private funeral parlor itself is not very fancy, and perhaps better suited for those who plan to have a very intimate wake or viewing. Our initial viewing was at their parlor, while our wake took place in a church. They did an excellent job with the cosmetic adjustments on my Grandmother’s hands, face, and hair. The makeup was artfully and tastefully applied. It looked like she was resting. They were also responsive to our requests for any changes we felt necessary.
Our wake and funeral service lasted a total of six hours but Mr. Samson Jr. was there the entire time. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty. They helped make announcements & graciously attended to the needs of the family and friends of the dearly departed. The staff added thoughtful, kind, and gentle words during the service and during the burial proceedings. From what I saw (well, we were in a church) they were able to provide a Christian message with biblical quotes that were appropriate and touching. I assume they can do non-​religious and agnostic funerals as well.
Much credit goes out to the immediate family, especially my mother, aunt, uncle, and Mt Moriah church for all of their hard work in creating the most memorable and uplifting «Celebration of Life» service I have ever seen.
