They were very quick to come when I called, and he was very precise at the time, telling me things like there was moisture a few inches under the refrigerator, and drying is a science, etc. I found the equipment online to purchase for $ 700, and they were charging $ 1500($ 1425 after Angie’s list discount), so I figured that we were buying expertise and quick service. So far, we haven’t gotten either. It took 24 hours for them to bring the drying materials, so even though they first came and gave their sales pitch within 18 hours of the flood, they didn’t do anything until 42 hours after the flood. They never told me the initial moisture levels in the wood, so I don’t know what our baseline moisture level was. Also, they didn’t check the wall on the other side of the flooded area, as another group did. The guy installing the equipment didn’t have a moisture meter with him at the time of installation to use while installing the equipment, so equipment might not have been placed in locations with highest moisture levels. The installer seemed most concerned that the machinery be out of our way rather than in the place where they would be most effective. The machinery itself is very noisy but isn’t actually located in or under the cabinet that had the flood, only next to it. The combination of the 24 hour time delay and lack of specifics gives me two uncomfortable thoughts: the wood might have dried out enough on its own without the materials, or this isn’t going to be enough, and we’ll have mold anyhow. So far, it seems like it’s overpriced equipment rental, not the expertise that I thought I was hiring.

After our first day of moving into our new home, our basement flooded with sewer water. It was awful and ruined brand new items. Robert returned my call in just a few hours on a Saturday and tracked down a crew to arrive first thing Monday. They came with everything they needed to get the job done and were very professional and helpful. Highly recommend their services!
