Coffee was good. Staff was rude and tables are few. There are many more places to get a coffee and sit and wonder in the neighborhood.

The small chocolate chip cookie was OK and the service fine, just wish I’d gone with the tiny doughnuts instead.

Good coffee. Nice staff. Lots of places for people to put their computers and act like they are working and not just cruising Facebook. My first time here but I am sure I will be back to try some of the food options.

Wish I live closer to here because this is one of my favorite cafes in New York. They serve stump town coffee which is wonderful, but pretty much any decent café in NYC has good coffee, the space here is what stands out. It’s on a relatively quiet street, and has a surprisingly spacious interior seating space as well as a gorgeous backyard space that’s perfect for sunny Sunday’s in the summer.

good coffee, unfortunately no room to sit to enjoy a coffee to stay due to many many peeps working on their laptops

This is my favorite coffee shop in Prospect Heights. Friendly baristas who are good at what they do; good company; a cute backyard to work in on warm days; a usually very decent music selection if that’s what you’re into — this place has it all. Also, Dough donuts and yummy sandwiches, too! It can get a little crowded, but as long as you’re willing to share a table with someone it won’t be a problem.

Great maple latte! The espresso was strong, but not to the extent that it overpowered the maple. The chai tea latte was on point as well. Love the designs in the foam on top! The«take a book, leave a book» station towards the back of the room looked very interesting! Prices were very reasonable, and the menu was varied. The only thing I’d suggest would be lights or even a heater of some kind in the outdoor area, which was really cute and helped a lot in terms of adding seating space, but also gets very cold and a little dark once the sun starts to drop. Tl;dr: coffee and tea lattes are great; indoor seating is limited, but the space itself is otherwise very nice!

This place is an oasis in the concrete jungle! Atmosphere: quiet, welcoming, warm, cozy. There is ample seating inside and in the backyard patio. The design is zen-inspired, which lends to a calming environment in which to work. Staff: friendly and helpful, the staff seem to genuinely enjoy having conversations while taking and making orders. It’s nice to have a chance to slow down and connect. Good/drink: house-made(in their other location) almond milk is worth the extra $ 1. They definitely do not skimp on it either. The iced lattes are refreshing, smooth, and creamy. Muffins and crescent sandwiches are made in house. TIP– muffins are half price($ 1.50) after 5p! Whattt? The lemon, polenta, almond(gluten-free) was a dense and grainy cake, moist in the center with a crunchy and sweet top. Too big for one sitting and definitely worth the full $ 3 price. But let’s be real, I’m a girl after a graduate student also in search of a good deal!

A friend recommended Sit and Wonder when I was looking for coffee shops that I could sit and work at on the weekends. This place is pretty adorable outside. For the most part the inside looks like any other coffee shop, but it’s still cozy nonetheless. There’s a bookshelf and a cute little back patio area, and little bar areas you can sit at with your coffee and laptop or a friend or a book — whatever you prefer. Each time I’ve gone there I’ve gotten their cold brew, which is not a disappointment and is decently priced. I also have gotten a muffin and a sandwich there over the course of a few visits, and each have tasted great. :) The bathrooms here are also really great. Like a clean yet vintage-y feel. Is that weird? I hope that’s not weird. Bathrooms are important. Thumbs up.

As more coffee shops open up on the Avenue, Sit & Wonder holds pride of place as the neighborhood joint, where everyone knows your name. Friendly staff, great coffee(Stumptown), great music, great backyard, great sandwiches and salads. It’s a family business(the owners’ kids go to to the neighborhood school) and a gathering place for young and old. A noticeboard has ads for everything from local poetry readings to dog-walking, and they have a community book ‘library’ for you to drop off a novel from time to time, and find something interesting.

Quality local coffee shop offering Stumptown drinks, sandwiches, pastries, indoor/outdoor seating, a backyard, and free WiFi. $ 5 minimum on credit cards. Mix of Macbook users and people socially getting coffee. Vibe = local Brooklyn coffee place, not the super modern type. Staff is nice. Half off pastries from 5pm-7pm, when they close. Chilling in the backyard is really nice.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I should say that I go to many coffee shops-so I do have a reference point. I should also say that I judge customer service first because most coffee shops are the same. Many people are just interested in Wi-Fi and to that point it does have Wi-Fi. What it doesn’t have is polite baristas. Everyone there, including the small white guy and the blond-haired girl are short(no pun intended) and rude. If the customer service is going to be that poor-then at the very least they can have chamomile tea. They will know longer be receiving my business. The last time I was there the nastiness of the staff was so intense that I was shaken up for hours and just now am trying to get back to work.

The Coffee Wars so no sign of abatement in the borough of Brooklyn. Throw a coffee bean and you’re likely to hit another one. A mere two doors down from Sit & Wonder is Konditori, which offers cheaper coffee. At Sit & Wonder, you get what you pay for: great coffee! I like to splurge and get me an iced coffee here. There is a good amount of space for sitting and wondering too, up front and out back.

A cute little coffee shop that I wish existed on every corner of every street really. A nice sweet barista, stumptown coffee, and a take one bring one book stack in the back where there is seating and wifi. We went in just for a quick cold drink to walk back to the train stop with, but decided to sit and read for a bit in the back. Since it was close to closing, the barista offered us some free baked goodies when we checked out. It was such a cute quiet space that we actually picked two books and just sat there reading for twenty minutes before they closed. We walked out thinking how nice it would be to spend more time there. If I lived in that neighborhood, I would probably be there daily, one of the many old but young looking people hanging out with the barista, who probably has a life like the ones they show on that show Girls(which I stopped watching after 8 episodes), and talk about how there are only mostly white people coming in even though the neighborhood is so diverse and there is an amazing braiding place down the street and… oh, did you know a bahn mi shop finally opened down the street? This place is sweet and randomly slow paced and ironic with its existence so Brooklyn in all its ways. Oh well, just Sit and Wonder.

Came here because my Portland native heart saw Stumptown coffee being advertised in the window. Spacious, quiet café with a lovely backyard seating area, although there was some nosy construction going on next door. The inside of the café seemed cozy and has a little library I found to be quite nice. Definitely coming back(the cookies are good, in addition to the coffee, of course!)

I wander sometimes… Mostly because of my schedule, in those early afternoons I have time to sit, relax, and let my mind wonder. Without noise, or many people, or distractions. You can only wonder where one’s mind would wander… Sit & Wonder is just a place for that. Cozy, simple, friendly and pretty quiet. In summer, backyard is your own paradise. Mismatched chairs, benches, little garden, pots and plants — I am, in all seriousness, feel like home, on my own backyard. Comfortable. And, to add to that, coffee is good, and croissants are wicked. Buttery, light, flaky and messy to eat — just the way best croissants are. If your day need timeout, if you need to relax your mind, and if your taste buds appreciate good bites and sips — then come, Sit & Wonder. It’s here.

The coffee is smooth, consistent and really good. The baristas, however, are very sensitive and uppity as fuck. Whatever. I’m here for coffee :)

Another coffee spot on my list for having backyard seating, which is very nice. Although, I don’t believe they have outlets back there. I looked, but perhaps I missed them. They don’t take credit cards. Bummer. With that said, I’m extremely glad I found cash on me to purchase a Gruyère and asparagus croissant. The. Best. Thing. Ever. I didn’t realize a croissant could get better. It can.
