Love this place. It’s just a tiny little shop but they have everything. Well, they don’t have many fresh fruit and vegetables but they do have all the dried goods I ever wanted. And a lot of them are natural and organic. Some of the items are even cheaper than Wholefoods’(bar soap, hand soap and peanut butter.) People working there are nice and friendly. I love buying grocery there knowing that I support local, honest business.

One of the most important things to consider when you move into a new apartment: «Do I have a good bodega?» I don’t have one now, but I used to have this one, and it is a good bodega. So what’s a good bodega? A place where you get something you need in a pinch and not get ripped off. Check, check. I used to get more than last minute essentials at Slope Food Market because they’re reasonable. Plus the guys that work it are good people. So if you’re nearby and just made that shocking discovery that you’re out of toilet paper? You’re in luck. Same goes for cleaning supplies, condiments, some cheese, prayer candles. It’s like a Key Food shrunk down to the size of one of their aisles. They also have a pretty darn good beer selection for a small deli. And they make a decent sandwich.
