The Wing Bar

Unpretentious spot to enjoy a few beers with friends. Fantastic wings. Good vibes, good mixed crowd… guys, girls, regulars, non regulars. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. My friend and I sat for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon drinking, eating, talking, and watching football and we weren’t rushed at all. Definitely plan to hit up this place more often.

The Best Wings
This is a bold statement coming from a guy that has traveled a lot and has eaten a few (thousand) wings in his day. These are the BEST wings I have ever had. Another Unilocaler used the world class, and he couldn’t be more right.
The thing that makes them so good, is the amount of work that goes into the preparation. The coolest part about this place is that those amazing wings are made right in front of you at the bar. The fryer and grill are right behind the bar. You can just see how much hard work the cooks are putting into these orders.
Overall, this place is nothing great if you as it pertains to labeling it a sports bar, bar, dive bar, hipster bar, or whatever. However, when a place called The Wing Bar serves a product that good, you have to give it it’s due.
The 5 stars are for the wings, if you go to this place and order the fish sandwich and your disappointed. Then this is your own fault.
Tip:
Order the wings Hot (it’s not that hot) and well done, so good. I want them right now.

If I was only reviewing the food, I would give Wing Bar 4 stars. I’ll give credit where credit it due, the wings are really good. The fries are as good as you will get in a bar. The beer is cold and usually from a fresh keg. With that said, the customer service is mediocre, at best. Mediocre is on a good night. I go to the Wing Bar about two times a month because the wings are that good. I don’t go four times a month because it takes two weeks for me to forget how bad the service was on my previous visit.
Here are just a few examples of the bad customer service:
Sometimes they take your order when you’re outside, and sometimes you have to order from the bar and they take the food out to you. I don’t mind ordering at the bar, but let us know in advance, especially after you greet us while we head outside. When I wait 20 minutes and realize that I have to come back to the bar to order, please put your private conversation on hold and acknowledge my presence.
I usually go to the Wing Bar during happy hour because of the two-​for-​one draft beer deal. On this one particular occasion when we were settling the bill, the bartender presented the free beer as if it were on him. His exact words were «the next one is on me.» No it’s not on you, it’s the free beer that we are entitled to. Not a big deal, but these are the things that we deal with almost every time we go to the Wing Bar.
On my most recent visit, the bartender added the gratuity to my tab. The problem was is that I was the only one on my tab, even though I was with a group of about 7. They add gratuity to parties of 5 or more, and I understand why, but she didn’t point out what «auto» meant, and she didn’t stop me as I counted out a cash tip. I was feeling pretty buzzed and almost didn’t notice the added gratuity. I would have tipped her more than the auto gratuity, so her dishonesty cost her a few extra bucks. I would have even added to the gratuity had she pointed out that the gratuity was included.
If you want really good wings but don’t care too much for quality customer service, go the Wing Bar.

Atmosphere: Definitely a spot to go watch the games! It is small, but everyone packs in on Sunday afternoons. Really good vibes.
Food: Delish. And the fried brussel sprouts are SO good. Kind of defeats the purpose of them with the frying, but whatever, it’s a wing bar, if I want my veggies fried, bring on the oil.
Drinks: Had a bloody mary on Sunday and asked for it extra spicy, and it was definitely spicy! Good, solid, strong drinks here, and not too overpriced.
Definitely coming here for more games, but will be sure to arrive early to grab a spot!

Good sports, good wings, good steak sandwich. Sit at the bar, and you can watch them deep fry and toss the wings. Really gets your appetite up, especially if you’re drunk or hungover. And why would you go to a place named Wing Bar and not get the wings? They weren’t amazing, but they were good and got me to where I needed to be. Also had the steak sandwich, which was okay. More filling than anything. Cool bartenders, and one cute one.

I Love This Place… Come On Thursdays Don is the best bartender ever. The wings here will keep you coming back. The fries are awesome to. Theres a new bartender there with an wonderful accent, my lil brother loves her, she makes great patron margaritas. if you’re looking for a quick spot for drinks & wings this is the place to be. They also have a backyard.

I’ve been to many wing joints in NYC and by far this place is the Taj mahjal of it all. Good service good wings, a good spot to come and chill after work or on a lazy Wednesday night. Wing bar is the best bang for your buck in Brooklyn…

Loved the wings, loved the customer service. It was amazing.
I wasn’t crazy with the grilled chicken, it was a little bit dry. But that is just my preference. I still think their food is great!!! Definitely give them a try.

I came here for happy hour with a friend of mine. He ordered a pitcher of beer for himself, by mistake, and I ordered a house margarita.
They serve more beer than anything, but I guess if you want a variety of mixed drinks, next door is the Zombie Hut. We just kept it simple and ordered the hot wings extra crispy and some fries. The wings were piping hot when they came out and the fries were good too.
I honestly have no complaints and would come back again if in the neighborhood.

BEST HOT WINGS I HAVE EVER TRIED ! A friend and I stopped in at Zombie Huts next door for drinks and came here for wings and they were AMAZING … We tried the Hot Buffalo Wings and suprisingly we had 20 wings for an awesome price… They were so good and I will definitely be back SOON

I visited The Wing Bar and the food and drinks amazing. I had a bacon cheeseburger and a couple of amaretto sours. I would definitely return because my friends ordered the wings and they were amazing as well. Also the prices were reasonable because the amaretto sour was $ 6. I had three of them. Already planning on when to return to The Wing Bar.

Great chill spot and the wings and drinks are definitely on point. The waitress was super cool and friendly. It’s out of my way but it is worth coming back again and again.

I love this place.
If you are going to have the balls to call your bar The Wing Bar, the wings better deliver. And by golly they do. Get the extra hot. They come out hot tasty and in giant bowls. Rest of the bar food is great too, mozzarella sticks? Check. Fried pickles? Check. Cheap draft beers? Check.
The service is great. I have brought a few friends here and we always leave with a smile.

I discovered this place a couple of years ago, I live in the area and there are so many bars and places to eat around here. But when it comes to wings and beer, WingBar is where to be! I take all my friends and family here also. They have a great outdoor seating in the back, which is my favorite when its warmer outside. Great atmosphere!
Their wings are to die for. I personally hate anything spicy, so I usually go for the BBQ wings but even their buffalo wings are addicting. I’m kind of picky when it comes to wings, but they listen every time; drumsticks only, extra crispy! I also get the steak sandwich sometimes too, which is probably the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. But my absolute favorite thing on the menu is the fries — crispy with a pinch of what tastes like cajun. I’ll sometimes even just go in for their fries with a tall glass of cold beer. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in or outside of Carroll Gardens!

Don’t be fooled.
It’s the Wing Bar. Get wings. Maybe fries or onion rings. But not the nachos. Anything but the nachos. General consensus by us led-​astray grubbers was «myehhh.»
But the wings were great. I spent a great deal of time in Western New York and this place gets pretty close. Hot is just the right amount of hot while still being flavorful. How it’s supposed to be. Blue cheese, celery, and carrots are given without question. As it should be.
Cheapo $ 9 pitchers of Coors Light to help sober you up too.

awesome! my best friend lives in the neighborhood and we’re regulars here. I like the regular hot, extra sauce extra crispy. She likes the barbecue. We always wash it down with a nice pitcher of beer, of course. The fries are tasty and delicious. They also have a nice outside area where you can sit and eat, if weather permits this is usually what we do.

I love Wing Bar and the whole neighborhood. I’ve gone to Carroll Gardens twice because of Wing Bar and I think I Want to move there now.
Anyways, I went to Wing Bar, once for my friend’s engagement party and once for the US — Portugal soccer game.
My review is simple. They have really good wings for basically $ 1 a piece (10 pieces for $ 9.50) and cheap drinks. I discovered the lime daisy drink there (not sure if that’s what it’s called) but it’s basically vodka and lime juice and it’s only $ 6 with the house vodka. A Lagunitas IPA bottle is $ 6. Basically, most drinks are $ 6 it seems.
I love the outdoor space, which is so great to hang out in with good weather. The staff is great and so accommodating like during my friend’s engagement party. They served us drinks and wings all day without a hitch.
If I lived closer this would be my spot, but for now, I’ll have to love it from afar.
