This is the best pizza I’ve had in New York. I’ve tried a few places in Manhattan that are said to be the best and nothing is as good as Tony’s. The guys that work here are so nice and friendly. One time I ordered and forgot that they were cash only, I said I would run home and grab some cash and the guy said it was no big deal, to pay him back next time and offered me a drink too. Of course I paid them back and the gesture was so nice, I love eating here! Mushroom pizza is my favorite.

Oh! I got another rude response from someone at Tony’s!!! This is incredible!!! Jesus Christ, guys. Pull it together. Your pizza is lousy and your attitude is even worse.

A customer for more than 30 years, this is the best plain slice of pizza, Sicilian in NYC. No pizzeria in NYC can match the quality nor quantity of cheese that is placed on each piece. The sauce is homemade and zesty. Keep it up Tony’s Ozario!

Want an impartial review? How about Tony’s making Gothamist’s 24 best pizza places in NYC list? Still crispy crust Sicilians for me…

This is based solely on service, but I was the 1 person waiting at the counter and stood there for about 6 minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged once. It look like a whore house from Mexico. I understand that you’re busy, but at least pretend that you care. Get some real people who want to really work! How hard is it to get a slice these days?

Tony’s pizzeria holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been coming here for the last 25 years. This is were I had my first slice, where I fell in love with pizza. Many years later the pizza is still amazing and so is the service. I hope Tony’s remains open for many, many years to come.

Worst pizza I have ever had. Looked on Unilocal, reviews were promising once I got in side the staff was very aggressive and not eager to do their job and serve my food. When I got my food the dough was rubbery and the toppings were still frozen on top of the greesy cheese. When I picked up my slice the whole thing fell apart not even the shitty cheese stuck to the dough. Horrible place horrible service and not worth your time.

I live practically across the street from this place and as a pizza lover I could not be happier. I eat it at least twice a week. The slices are very NY classic style standard. Heavier on cheese, lighter on sauce, usually pretty doughy. Which just so happens to be all the ways I prefer my pizza. I like my pizza simple/basic and a bit greasy, so this, in my mind, beats out a lot of the try-hard pizza places like Robertas.

V good pizza. The dude working here told us that this place has been here 45 years which is chill because consistency. The Sicilian pizza is super good and they have lots of fun things on the menu like this thing that is chicken wrapped in pizza dough. Also the stuff is super cheap.

Best pizza in the neighborhood the cheese take like cheese, the crust is the way a NY pizza is suppose to taste. Had to give it 4 stars because I ordered a beef patty and the guy wrapped it up and then baked it, it was raw when I got home but I’ve ordered other times and it was perfect I don’t know if it was a rookie mistake or what.

This is your traditional no frills pizza place. The tables are the same kind that you see in every similar pizza joint in the Northeast. Unlike most NY pizza places, there are not 20 different kinds of pizza under the sneezeguard, just two, Sicilian and plain(obviously, you can get toppings added on if you ask). I got a slice of each and some garlic knots. I first ate the Scilian, which was really doughy, as can be imagined. It was pretty good, but not the best. The I ate the plain slice, which was similarly doughy. Problem was that this was reheated and was not fresh(they had a stack of ten pizzas to reheat, so basically, you never get a fresh slice… maybe you need to order a pie to your house to get that). I also thought that the dough was too thick on the plain slice. This is not a bad pizza place(certainly better than some places in Bushwick), and there is a good chance that I will get a slice or to here again, but ultimately, this place is not worth seeking out.

The best pizza in Brooklyn! Best pizza in all of NYC, hands down! I’m dead serious! Are you looking for that old-school NYC slice? This is your place. Definitely grab yourself a sicilian slice as well. Tony’s is a Bushwick staple since the 70s and a favorite amongst the community. I’ve been coming here since 2008 and I am very friendly with Tony and his staff. Tony is the real deal, straight from Italy but raised his family in Bushwick. It is always packed but service is super fast. Forget every pizza joint you ever knew; Tony’s is where it’s at.

I used to live half a block away and, despite living farther away and having closer pizza places, this is still my favorite spot. For a cheap-er slice(2.25), it is the best pizza. Try the Sicilian slice and then a normal slice. Can of coke and you’re set.

The best pizza place in this area! Love their Sicilian and plain slices. Also can’t go wrong with their beef patties. I hope they don’t raise the prices since all these white people are starting to take over the neighborhood! If you’re in the area and are craving pizza you need to try it out!

Its good pizza with or without toppings. Garlic knots are a must. Been in business for over 35 years. There, a simple review without all that pretentious Bs ppl put on here so often. Blah blah I love the wallpaper or I eat with a fork and chew slowly. Get bent.

Probably goes without saying Tony’s blows Pizza de Napoli out of the water. I’m a NY pizza noob and I stumbled upon this place after finding out they closed down Frankies. So I can’t get a delicious inexpensive Brooklyn breakfast, guess I’ll get a slice or two instead! Tony’s was moderately busy at 11am, but I was in and out in like 3 minutes. Next time, I’m going to try a pepperoni slice and maybe a sicilian slice since people on Unilocal are going nuts about it. This is probably my favorite pizza joint in NY so far! I’ve hit about 5 – 6 others including Lombardis. The crust here is crisp, thin, but still has a nice texture and chew to it. They don’t skim on sauce like other places but it’s not oozing, it’s just the right amount.
