Ordered for pick up and wasn’t disappointed. I am a huge fan of Thai food and they have mastered the Massaman curry. I will definitely order again.

This place is OK when ordering out. It took extremely long but I wasn’t surprised considering the poor delivery dude was on a bike!(not the motorized kind). The food is good, but I’ve had better. I would’ve given 2 had it not been for the few times I ate at their restaurant instead of ordering out and had better experiences. 3 stars at most for me!

Place is really small. It’s not the fanciest place if you’re looking to take a date out but it’s cozy. People were constantly coming in and out. Their phone was ringing off the hook. They were getting internet and fax orders. The workers didn’t stop working or sit down for not even a second. The place was packed by the time I left an hour later. They had about nine tables that could fit a total of 18 people in the whole place, two to a table. I went with a party of three but they put two tables together to accommodate us. Hard to find parking around the neighborhood. They seemed really busy with an overload of take out orders. I went on a Friday night around 8pm. The Thai ice tea was really good and came out immediately. Our food was ready and at our table in eight minutes. I ordered tom yum noodle soup with tofu. It was really delicious! I was pleasantly surprised. The two people I was with both loved their food as well! They ordered garlic sauce chicken and pad se-ew with chicken. I’ll definitely keep coming here. This’ll be my go to Thai place! For three people the bill came out to about $ 40 after tax not including tip. Each plate was about $ 10 the Thai ice tea was $ 3. Great food for a decent price!

Based on other Unilocal reviews, I guess I was fortunate that Top Thai lived up to its name on the day I went. This small restaurant is pretty, with a large mirrored pane reflecting back a huge lotus painting; the trompe l’oeil effect making the place seem larger than it is. I didn’t have the bad service a few Unilocalers complained out. The place was packed, but the woman who took my order was friendly and efficient. And the food itself? The vegetable pad kee maow was a huge portion of fat rice noodles, chock full of zucchini, bell peppers, baby corn, snow peas, carrots, broccoli, onions, eggplant, cabbage, baby bok choi… err, did I leave any veggies out? The chili sauce had egg bits and had an incredible marriage of flavors, garlic – chili, soy, vinegar, basil, fish sauce? and tamarind?. It was supremely tasty and packed surprising heat. A Thai restaurant I would definitely return to.

Came here again recently for an early dinner. We ordered the crispy duck and pad see ew. Again, both delicious. The food would get four stars. Service was OK, but don’t expect to be checked on; you have to yell out or get the server’s attention for anything you might need(like utensils, which we grabbed off a neighboring table). There were a few patrons in the restaurant, and a few take out orders as we ate. Seems like Top Thai has its following. A suggestion: order take out since the restaurant can get pretty drafty in the wintertime. We will likely do the same.

I wish I could give less stars for this place of business. I had ordered delivery from here once before this review and it was just okay thai for this area in Bay Ridge, there are many other more delicious and more authentic selections available for sure. However since it was New Years day and many places were closed I went with it again because it wasn’t necessarily bad either. I ordered chicken satay and green curry with seafood at 615 and was told it would take about an hour, which was quite fine with me since it is New Years day and I expected to wait awhile anyways for any delivery food in the neighborhood. After an hour and 15 I called to check in, I was told it was on its way. At 1 hr and 45 minutes I followed up and was told they have one delivery person and that it was out with an apology. At 2 hours I called back and was told they would call the delivery person and call me back. At about 2 hours and 15 minutes my food arrived. It was cold all around. But thats not all. The satay was so overcooked it was rubber and cold. The peanut sauce was separated into layers of oil and peanut butter. The curry dish was the smallest ‘entrée’ I have ever seen and was not particularly tastey. As I heated up on the stove I added some green curry, chili pepper, etc. of my own to flavor it up. Despite my reheating, the scallops were near RAW. And the squid or whatever circular things were in it were rubber as well. I was starving so I took the scallops out and heated the entire dish through before eating enough to fill my belly a bit. When I called to let them know that I was reheating it on my stove they offered a replacement, hell no I am not waiting another two hours for food! I asked(still amazingly politely and patiently) for a full refund. I was told that they were not able to do this without their boss their and they could give me a credit. Well a big no thank you because I will not be ordering from here again! I work in the industry and am quite peeved about this experience all around. This food should never have left their establishment, period. I guarantee they would not have eaten it themselves. Secondly, be honest. If you are slammed either don’t take more orders or politely ask if it is possible for me to pick up(I could have done so since I am not that far). Worst case scenario, call me back and let me know that it will be taking longer than expected with apologies and give me an opportunity to cancel and order somewhere else! So, now I will be calling back on sunday to ask for ‘hanna’ and try to get my $ 22 refund. Avoid this place. period.

First Thai food experience and it was great. Had the thin and wide noodles with chicken. All was fantastic. Great service as well.

So small — this place is so small. There are around 6 tables in this place and at first it was an optical allusion. Haha! The one wall is a full mirror, which originally made the restaurant look bigger. It was kind of cool. The service was very average to bad. It took them forever to get our check at the end, to the point that my boyfriend had to actually go up and get it. The food was really good, though. This is the most important thing, in my opinion. As an appetizer, we had the fried squid. To be honest, you don’t get that much squid — but for only $ 7, it was decent. The breeding on the squid was so flaky that it just completely fell off when I put my fork in it. It came with a spicy mayo and a Thai chili sauce. Both were very tasty. Overall, I would order the squid again. For dinner… I had the duck pad Thai. It was my first time having duck and it was cooked really well. I enjoyed it. Pad Thai is my favorite in general and the noodles and flavors were on point. My boyfriend had #57, which was a spicy duck dish. It came with rice and THEBEST sauce/broth. I kept dipping my pad Thai duck in it. Very impressed. For drinks — I had the lychee iced tea, which was sweet, but not too sweet. I liked that there were actually lychee pieces in it so I got to taste the fruit. My boyfriend had the Thai iced tea — which was full of flavor and very good. I liked his better because there was some sort of milk in it. Overall, if «eh» service isn’t your concern, I would highly recommend coming here. Great Thai food and a great menu.

I wish I could write a review on the food itself but since I never got mine, my review is on their service. I placed my order at 6:40 on seamless and received a message at 7:40 that my food was out for delivery. I called the restaurant at 8:20 and was told my food should be there soon. Frustrated and hungry, I called the restaurant again at 8:40 to cancel my order. It should not take over an hour once the food is out for delivery to actually be delivered.

Top Thai is a small little restaurant. It seats about a dozen though it seems like their focus is delivery and takeout orders being that they had an entire table dedicated to such. We decided to dine. For starters, we had the red curry fish cakes. The cakes came with a sweet and slightly bitter vinegar sauce with cucumbers and crushed peanuts. I found the fish cakes to be a little bland, but they paired well with the multifaceted sauce. We also split the chicken pad thai which came out moments after the cakes. The pad thai had robust flavors and a perfectly soft texture.

A little hole in the wall place that makes you feel safe because its clean. You don’t expect much when you walk in but the food is really good. Ive ordered pineapple fried rice and chicken pad thai and have not been disappointed. The food is made relatively quickly although sometimes you have to wait if it is crowded. The portions are definitely good for the price I usually always have leftover food for the next day which I like. Many small restaurants the staff is not that nice but this staff has been nice every time i walk in to order something. I would recommend this place for a good quick meal.

Little more than a(clean) hole in the wall, this place is solid for Thai. The first time I came in, I didn’t expect much. If anything, it looked like a Chinese takeout place with some seating. Plus, there really aren’t Thai places out in this neck of the Brooklyn woods. How good can it be? Well, it turns out that it’s pretty darn good. I’ve been back a number of times when in this part of Bay Ridge and will say that it’s a pretty solid option for Thai. Not the crap SE Asian food I’ve come to expect out of the lower half of Brooklyn. If you’re in the area and craving Thai, I do recommend Top Thai.

Food tasted authentic. solid 4 stars! I was in search for some local Thai food and always overlooked Top Thai as a takeout joint due to its tiny store. Service was friendly, but our water was not refilled throughout our meal. The heat was blasting down on the seats by the mirror, which made me very uncomfortable on a 50 degree day. Curry Puffs $ 6.95 — It came with 4 delicious puffs. I can eat 10 of these! The outside was flaky and inside had some hot curry. It didn’t taste spicy though. Get this! Pad Kee Mao + Beef $ 10.95 — Equivalent to the Drunken Noodles. It was spicy and flavorful. The noodles tasted very fresh as well. If you enjoy eating spicy food, get this. Portion was just right. Pad Woon Sen + Beef $ 10.95 — Tasty, not too salty, and a good portion of beef. No complaints here. Thai Iced Tea $ 3.50/Lychee Thai Iced Tea $ 3.00 — Both were very good and served in a mason jar glass. Lychee was a bit sweeter than expected, but the Thai Iced Tea was a winner. Parking can be a problem. It’s a popular shopping area so it’s expected.

The food here is easily 4stars. The problem is consistency and this is why I had to dock a star. I always order padseeew extra spicy and sometimes the container is somewhat full or just ½ full when I receive it and that frustrates me! They always used to prepare my order spicy(specified)and it was spot on and now when I ask for spicy they just give some sweet type of hotsauce on the side. I feel like they are on the higher end of prices for Thai in this area so I do expect a little more. I will say the tom yum soup is the best I’ve had in the area and the curry puffs are great too.

Place is tiny tiny but the food is ok. Service is ok. Be prepare that once you live you will be smelling like food. My friends and I went to try this place for the first time and it isn’t bad. Prices are good for the portion. Not much to say. Isn’t an exciting place to go to but if you want decent food, this is the point.

First time trying this place out and I must say delivery was quick! I ordered the basil fried rice with chicken and tofu and it was good. Definitely was not skimpy on the chicken or tofu. I believe the price was great for the portion size

This place is amazing! I’ve had the Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Massaman, and have never left disappointed. And with the typical main dish costing about 11 or 12 dollars, you really can’t go wrong here. The restaurant is super clean, the meals prepared within 10 – 15 minutes, and the wait staff always friendly.

I must say, the food here is as good as it gets! Although they mainly do takeout and delivery, this restaurant is clean, bright, and great for dining in. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and there were only about three tables seated. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as well! I will definitely be returning for the Curry Puffs and to try the other dishes. Thai Iced Tea– Yummy, very milky and refreshing. Curry Puffs– Freshly made and delicious! Papaya salad– Lemony and spicy, just the way I like it. Pad See Ew with beef– Delicious, the noodles had a great texture. the beef was slightly tough, but still very tasty. Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken– Yummy! It wasn’t too spicy and you can really taste the basil.
