Honestly, food is fine. But the waitress show you attitude. And they skip many of my food I wrote on the sheet, and when I ask them, they told me all of my food are here. But the fact is they missing at least 5 rolls.

It took them an hour and 15 mins to deliver and I lived pretty close by. The food was okay I got spicy tuna and miso with California rolls but the delivery guy wouldn’t give me my food till I tipped him. Tipping is optional and that is something they should learn. Don’t force your customers to tip when you obviously took really long. I would save you the trouble and not go here and just go to daizen which is nearby.

I just walked out of this place after sitting there for over a half hour and being served one salad and a piece of salmon teriyaki while every table around myself and my boyfriend got served their entire order. I asked my waitress where my order was she apologized and ten minutes later my small order of rolls was still not served. It’s so sad that if I was Asian maybe I would have been served my food because we were the only non-Asians in the entire place. Even the orders around us were coming out extremely slow. Do not come here if you’re hungry, you’ll be waiting for eternity.

I was in the area and craving something healthier than the greasy Chinese food in the area. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly waitress. I asked for takeout and she told me it was 50% off for takeout. What a bomb deal! The sushi was made quickly since the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. I ordered 3 rolls and they were delish. I’d definitely come back!

I just finished my meal here 20 minutes ago. Made three separate order sheets submitted for only one sheet to be fulfilled. No explanation of what happened to the rest of the food except for sorry for taking too long. The restaurant was not busy and we were the only ones there by the time the food was ready to be served. The staff was very unprofessional and have terrible memory especially when it was immediate requests such as ordering drinks. They walked to the fridge and came back with nothing, 20 minutes later… Still no beverages. The only positive thing I can say is the free dessert that was included(green tea or red bean ice cream) was decent most likely because they didn’t have to make it. If this is the dining experience you seek, Come on by! Otherwise you’ve been warned.

The salmon is thin as a piece of paper 90% rice. DONTEVERCOMEHERE. I would never come back here again and the shrimp is small and also cut in half. This place is not worth your money.

Lunch ends at 4:30 pm so if you are trying to catch the lunch $ 12.99 deal for all-you-can-eat(AYCE), that is the time you have to arrive before at Toyama. After 4:30 pm comes the dinner price which is $ 18.99. We made it last Saturday by less than half an hour, yay. There was no one in the restaurant at about 4 pm on a Saturday since we were there pretty late for lunch. For $ 12.99, I do not expect the best sushi in the world. Keep your expectations low and you’ll be happy. You order what you want from a checklist sheet. You just have to indicate the number of portions you want on the sheet. I have been to many checklist AYCE sushi places so this was not a new process for me. When you sit down, the waitress will hand you over a pen and a few sheets. It’s pretty self explanatory. If you are unfamiliar with the names of the rolls, I grabbed a takeout menu which further explained each roll. After you finish filling out a sheet for the table, you just hand the sheet over to the waitress. Easy peasy. There is no substitutions so as to make the ordering process faster. I’m sure when it is busy, it must be harder. But since we were the only ones there, the order was perfect. Everything we ordered came to the table. Which is not true at some AYCE sushi checklist restaurants. There were some hot appetizer items that we ordered from the kitchen like gyoza, tempura, teriyaki, harumaki(fried spring rolls). Also don’t expect the best tempura, teriyaki, etc. For $ 12.99 everything was fine. We had sweet potato, chicken and vegetable(broccoli) tempura, salmon teriyaki, Kani salad(imitation crabmeat salad), etc. I happened to have really liked the small portions so we can try different things. The fried items all tasted the same so I would skip it next time. I really liked the Kani salad. It was fresh with cucumber strips and it was not heavy with dressing. The salmon was good for two people to have one bite each. Which is fine with me, I just wanted a taste. It was only okay. Fried items and teriyaki was skippable. I would order the Kani salad again. It was simple but refreshing. We ordered different rolls but the rolls I remembered are the Spicy Crabmeat(Kani) roll, Dragon roll, and salmon skin roll. I also remember the Godzilla roll because it was disgusting; Cream cheese has no place in a maki roll! I have had other Godzilla rolls and they never had cream cheese. That is just pure disgustingness. The restaurant is located on the quieter part of Brooklyn Chinatown, 7th Avenue. But just one block to 8th Avenue, it is CONGESTED. I can see why they need to attract people to their restaurant by charging $ 12.99 for AYCE lunch special. They are far enough for people not to see them. There is not as much foot traffic on 7th Ave as 8th Ave. If I didn’t see the $ 12.99 sign for AYCE lunch, I would never have stopped the car. Happy we found this place. For $ 12.99, I was satisfied. I would totally come back with a group!

Hit or miss here. First time was a good experience. After that things went downhill. Paid for an all you can eat lunch and the waitress did not give us everything we ordered. Rice was missing, gyoza, spicy tuna rolls, shumai went missing, udon soup noodles had a strange taste to them(as if they werent real), potions are small, they charge you ten bucks to take your leftovers, and they rushed us out as if we werent paying for our meal. Walked in there with my family and I wont do it again. Only thing that was good on the menu are the lover’s roll. Don’t bother unless you wanna get full off of food that has a strange fake taste to it.

Not sure how things have changed now but came here to eat when it first opened. The sushi took a long time to come and the names of the rolls did not match what was served to us. The fish wasn’t fresh and the rolls were badly made. The memory I have clearly of this place that disgusted me and prevented me from returning is when the waiter was pouring water for us, he had his thumb inside the water jug. His nails were long and dirty, very unsanitary.

Okay, I have a confession to make. I’m seeing myself coming more often than I expected after the fact that I previously rated this place 2 stars. I noticed the price has gone up for their dinner price, it is now $ 19.99, though they really should change their yellow sign which advertises the old price. The menu has changed up a bit as well, I was surprised the Squid Teriyaki was also included in the buffet, a whole squid. You also get free ice cream for dining in now, got a pretty big scoop of red bean towards the end of dinner with my mom last night. They are still doing the 50% off entire bill for taking out, the insanely cheap take out is whats really making me come back every single time.

Came here first lunch the first time since they open in this neighborhood. Friends had told me they are not that work, but just curious, so still came in. Why I gave 1 stars because all quality for the items from salad to special rolls were below average. Sashimi were below average, not fresh and the eel they used taste rubbery. Many said you should not have your hope up for AYCE places, not true, we still paid an amount all other AYCE places charge, but this place just took out too much traditional ways of making sushi in order to make profits. I felt nausea the rest of the day… Sighs, should have went with my guts and go to the Phở place right across the street.

I’m not sure what everyone is upset about. The place looks clean, serving is fast. Well, maybe due to the fact that I came on a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. They were serving the lunch AYCE and I haven’t had that in about 2 years, so my stomach didn’t feel good with all that good food afterwards. This is one of the 3 places of unlimited sushi as of today. I have yet tried the Daizen and Hangout 58. The lunch is $ 13. THe staff speaks english, no Wifi though. They have good appetizers and sushi. And free ice cream at the end, which I didn’t stick around for because I was in a rush. My favorite is the King Salmon roll, but when the Godzilla roll came, I loved it even more.

I always go to Toyama whenever I’m craving sushi. They offer 50% off if you get takeout, which is cheap, but they charge tax. –1 star: their California roll tastes weird and they are slow at completing orders. I called to order 3 rolls once and only one person was making it while the others were talking.

This is a great restaurant. Don’t listen to any of the other reviews. First of all, it is an all you can eat buffet for only $ 13!!! Not to mention, the food is delicious! The quality and taste of the food is great. 10⁄10 would eat here everyday

This place is honestly a pretty good deal; its $ 20 for an all you can eat buffet. People are expecting way too much for such a cheap place to dine at. Most of the dishes I ordered were pretty good, including the dragon roll, the spider roll, shrimp teriyaki, udon noodles, eel cucumber roll, shrimp tempura, and much more. I would stay away from the appetizers though; the sushi is much more worth it imo. I don’t enjoy eating raw fish, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you about the quality of the sashimi or raw fish. The waiters and the cooks who rolled my sushi were polite. It gets busy at times though, so they may forget what you ask for, but just remind them a few times and they happily follow through with your request. Here’s a tip though: order everything on the first menu they give you. The second time I handed in my order, they took much longer to prepare my food. Waited for 30 minutes the second round I believe. Also, both times I came here, they forgot something I ordered. It seems like their organization isn’t very good; I believe they have to manually key each individual item into the computer. Overall, I’ll come back whenever I’m nearby and craving sushi. It’s quite a steal considering how much sushi costs at a typical Japanese restaurant.

Worst sushi restaurant I’ve ever had. The price is cheap but you get what you pay for. You do not get unlimited sashimi and the sushi rolls are packed with rice and little pieces of fish. Will not be returning

Only giving two stars because of the okay sashimis they offered. All the rolls we ordered tasted exactly the same. They also forgot two rolls we ordered in the first time! Horrible service and the food took forever around 30 minutes considering there was about 10 people including my group of 3. The appetizers were okay… definitely better than the sushi which doesnt say much. Is it just me or did I see cream cheese in almost all the rolls? Perhaps this is a trick to get us to be filled faster? Wont be coming back

Always be careful when it comes to all you can eat. It might be a good price, but the food may lack quality. The noodles here are not good here. The ramen noodles I had here were not cooked all the way. The udon noodles soup had no flavor. The salmon skin salad was not crispy. The sushi was so blah!!! That’s the best way to describe it. The only decent tasty thing here was the shumai. Just turn around and go away.
