There is cheese being made on Foster Avenue, and it’s been happening for a decade, and you might never even notice.
Vaquita’s makes queso fresco and queso Oaxaca, and they sell it wholesale around the area. But you can walk right into the little storefront when they’re open and buy some for less than you can at the supermarkets nearby (about $ 3.50). Be sure to bring singles and quarters, because they probably won’t have change for you.
