I think this place has shut down, because it looks really really closed. Which is too bad because their buffalo wings were really very good. Real wings really fried crisp and doused in buffalo wing sauce. Their heros were good too, with lots of cold cuts and good bread. Their pizza was good enough but inconsistent as to ratio of sauce to cheese and crust. Sometimes salty, sometimes tomatoey acidic, sometimes cheesey gooey, sometimes dry.

A decent place if my favorite pizza place is closed. Good prices, average tasting pizza. Good soda selection.

Ok, so I pretty much live in the dead zone of good pizza in Brooklyn, it took me a while to find a pizza joint that I’d like, and I’m not even snooty like that, but I just hadn’t found a decent spot. Before I tried Xpress Pizzeria the best that I had around here was Rocky’s Pizzeria, you know, on the corner of Church Ave. and Coney Island Ave. with the little bit funny/little bit corny painting that must’ve been there since the 90’s, of boxing and some Americana stuff. But anyway, I digress, this isn’t a review of Rocky’s, I’ll get around to doing that sometime not soon, on accounta I work and go to school, so I don’t have buku time to write reviews on Unilocal, and, as you can see, I’m not a one minute man with my reviews, I like to put in some work. So anyway, Xpress Pizzeria is now the best pizza place I’ve found in this area(sorry Rocky’s, but a silver medal is still shiny). I didn’t even know this place existed until I found a menu in the coupon newspaper thingy in the lobby of my building. It must have been fate, because I picked that bad boy up and decided to give them a try as soon as I got up to my apartment. Of course the name is definitely not creative and makes it sound like, I dunno, like not legit or something, I dunno, just my opinion, kind of a bunk name. That doesn’t have anything to what consists of my review, but I put it out there because I’m sure someone else would look at the name and think, «that’s kind of a bunk name». Listen, don’t let names scare you off, this place is good. I’ve actually never set foot in, or even seen this place, because I ordered delivery from day one and they actually deliver to my area of Flatbush, even though they’re basically in Kensington, and I ain’t walkin’ there from my block(around Caton Ave. & St. Pauls Place, don’t wanna get too specific, don’t want all the hot chicks on Unilocal knockin’ on my door, on accounta I’m a Unilocal stud. Not really though, but you can give me 5 stars for imagination.) Ok, let’s get down to basics. Call me crazy(because I am), but I’m not the crust eating type, so I won’t rate that. I usually order a large plain pie. The slices are in good form, not too floppy, not too stiff(insert sexual joke here), and it doesn’t fall apart or anything type lame like that. What gets me is the sauce, it’s great, it’s a little sweet, but not overly, you can taste the basil that’s in it, and there’s actually some crushed tomatoes that’s used in the sauce, which I like. The cheese was good, not too oily and I didn’t have to pull my mouth(or slice) away like 3 feet because of stubborn cheese that doesn’t want to meet it’s maker, so that’s a plus in my book. I’ve also ordered only two other kinds of pizza, because I’m usually a plain pie guy, I like simplicity when it comes to pizza, but get toppings on occasion. I ordered a Xpress Special pie, and the toppings are onion, pepper, fresh mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, and meatball. This pie is for when I’m really hungry(it’s X-Large), and the rare times I want some dead animal on my pizza. It tastes great, although it’s a little challenging to eat because of the sheer weight of all those toppings aren’t 100% supported by the dough. Sometimes I throw some Tabasco on a slice, it’s a good tactic to pull, I recommend doing it. I’ve also been ordering spaghetti & meatballs and chicken parm with spaghetti, both dishes are good, chicken cooked just right, not dry, not overdone, the meatballs are good too, just the right amount of spices. Ok, gonna wrap up this novel about a pizza joint, but before I go I just want to mention how you get a free 2-liter of soda if you order is $ 25 or more, and one time they gave me a free salad when I ordered a pie and a pasta dish. Long story short: corny name, good food, I’m a fan. Fin.

Found this place on Grubhub(first time using Grubhub; don’t like that site). It was one of the few places that delivered on that site. Ordered the Grandma pie and asked for sausages on one half and mushrooms on the other. Called to follow up. It was no problem and would cost just a few dollars extra. The pizza came within the time the guy on the phone said. And it was delicious. Everything was fresh. My friends had ordered another pizza from another place the same night, so we had two pies. The other one had tasteless cheese that had the consistency of a rubber band. But not the grandma pie. Even though my friend’s place didn’t have a number on the house, the delivery guy found it without a problem. The three of us enjoyed it so much, we plan to order from there again.

You know, at first glance one would assume this place is quite ghetto with the very generic exterior… But i must admit the food is very good and actually less expensive than most of the other places nearby.

I have passed by this place literally daily for the past few years, but as we’d always gone to Rocky’s and Korner in the past, I never ate there. I ordered through Grubhub from them this evening for the first time and I was SO happy. Not only is it inexpensive– a calamari marinara over spaghetti, a large order of meatballs, a salad and a huge portion of hot bread was under 18 dollars– but it came fast, the delivery guys was super nice and it was amazing. The meatballs are succulent, the calamari fresh and generously garnished with fresh basil, and the salad was much nicer than one would expect from a pizza place– nicely dressed, crisp vegetables, good lettuce. I will definitely try their pizza next. Definitely recommend this place, and thank you for a delicious dinner!

If crust was measured like metals, than this crust here should have a crest made of gold. I found this joint just browsing intraweb pizza joints around the area and couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of it. I’ve been living in the area for 8 years and when the pie showed up to more door not only did it live up to the name(they had this thing to me faster than Speedy Gonzales having sex) — the pie was delicious. By far my favorite and my go to pizza joint in the neighborhood. It’s fast, it’s cheap, and and it’s quality. Speciality pies are all the rage and as I’m partial to chicken and spinach with sliced tomatoes and Xpress hits the nail on the head. My pretentious pie eating snob friend came over and after I heralded it and he snubbed his nose in disbelief, the pie came and we found ourselves fighting for slices like two crack heads grabbing at the same rock. Xpress Pizzeria you are the jam…

Moved to Kensington about a year and a half ago and my biggest complaint was not being able to find a good pizza joint. A few days ago I came home to find a menu from this place under my door and kept it. Since its lent and I was craving pizza, I gave this place a call. Delivery was quick, the person I spoke to was nice and most importantly… pizza is amazing! So happy to finally find delicious pizza!!!

The mushroom pizza was awesome! The base was perfectly crisp but the crust was ok. Overall, I would stop here again. The owner(I’m guessing) was very helpful and very nice. I was so happy that my kid didn’t finish her slice because I got to finish it for her!

Decent place, and you really can’t beat their $ 4.95 lunch special(especially for the neighborhood) which comes with your choice of about 6 or 7 dishes, all a good sized portion and with a side of warm toasted italian bread. I usually get the penne vodka(be warned — the vodka sauce has a few mushrooms in it, which I love, but I know people tend to be weird about mushrooms and where and when they’re allowed to appear in their food: P) Had one bad experience here the other day, however, which brought my review down a star. It was likely due to a slight language barrier or maybe a bad connection over the phone(benefit of the doubt, until/if it happens again!), but it was still frustrating. My co-workers and I ordered 2 cheeseburgers with cheese fries. Instead, only one burger came with cheese, the fries were plain, but there was one slice of cheese on the side(a single slice folded into four squares and jammed in a sauce cup, unmelted). They also forgot our sodas, which my co-worker went to retrieve and, upon her return, told me they displayed a liiiiiiittle too much attitude, and resisted giving us the sodas even though we had the receipt that we had paid for them. … Actually, writing this review made me want to order again, and by the time I finished typing it, my food was here and just as I ordered, with no attitude. Hooray!

I used to eat at Joe and Joe’s all the time and I refuses to switch to Korner’s over priced pizza. I tried Xpress one day and it wasn’t bad… but I’ve had better. Price range was good.

I don’t know what happened Xpress pizza, but my love for you has gone down the drain. The last time I had your pie delivered to my door, it had not enough sauce or cheese. I was disappointed. Don’t be grimy! Charge us more. I’d rather that then eat bad pizza.

I have lived in this neighborhood for 30 yrs and I have never experienced such rudeness in pizza joint before. The two dweebs that work there ignored me as I waited to order. One of them turned the music up so loud that I could feel it vibrating in my chest which pretty much gave me the impression that I should leave. My brother tried to call and order a calzone, but the man that answered said ‘we aint got that’ and hung up. I’d rather give my support to Rockys down the block at least they know how to treat people!

After years of eating Korner pizza, the prices just kept rising and I had switched to Rocky’s on the corner of Coney and Church which has much better pizza imo and was less pricey. One day I got a menu under my door for Xpress… obviously the name was an immediate turn off but I was AMAZED at the prices and it kinda lurked in the back of my mind until one day I was passing by the place. I entered to find a huge array of specialty pizza pies and tried a bruschetta slice… delicious and loaded with fresh tomatoes and red onions(actually hard to eat Brooklyn style without chunks falling all over the place). The décor is not your typical take-out look, it’s nice and clean and with fairly modern furnishings. I then made my first call for delivery about a week later, had some family over and ordered a large cheeses pie and an order of fried calamari. I was really surprised the calamari was so good — especially after a delivery trip. Crispy and light and fresh with lots of lemon wedges on the side and a delicious red sauce(I usually add some red pepper flakes however, because it’s not as spicy as I’m used to). Either way, the portion size is great and the calamari is awesome. Their cheese pizza is no joke. Loaded with spices and so flavorful you seriously forget you’re eating just a plain cheese pizza. Has become my number one pizza joint, and their super crispy crust is hard to understand… I just don’t know how they do it. Looking forward to trying their italian dishes — oh and the mozz stix are pretty killer too!

The pizza here is amazing. Aside from Artichoke on 14th st in Manhattan, it is by far the best pizza I’ve had in NYC in the last 6 years. My favorite, the Penne Alla Vodka. The Lasagna pizza is great too!
