A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts

This place is pretty much always packed, but they seem to have everything you might need for art and craft projects. It’s a bit out of the way for me, so I don’t stop in here often unless I’m the area and I need something.

Good craft store that has supplied students with all of their school year needs, plus wedding and baby shower supplies and crafts. Shares the parking with the Giant supermarket and the pet store.

A friend rendered a water-​coloring portrait of my beloved lemon beagle. I was pleased with the results. A suitable frame was needed to complete the «masterpiece».
I have zero experience in framing but, visited A.C. Moore for assistance and options.
The store is packed with arts and craft related products suitable for novices and professionals. I brought the portrait to minimize confusion and second guessing. I selected a frame perfect for my needs but requested assistance from an employee. She measured the portrait and agreed that the frame would suffice. I thanked her and walked to the cashier area for payment.
The long line surprised me but quickly realized that the lunch hour and the abundance of «vacationing» children with mothers caused the delay. Although the wait did not upset me, the addition of a cashier was a welcoming sight.
I returned home and placed the portrait into the frame with virtually no problem. My four-​legged friend has a prominent position on the wall.

Fairly good selection but they always have 40% off coupons so without a coupon you might pay a bit more than you expected.

This place really fills a niche. You may not need them often but they are really handy to have around. They call themselves an «Arts & Crafts» place and that’s true but they are much more.
Need a tiny bottle of gold paint to touch up something in your apartment; no problem. How about a picture frame in an odd size; easy. Aisle after aisle of X-​mas stuff. They have plain glass bowls in about a million sizes and types. I could go on and on.
It’s definitely worth going here once just so you can see what they offer. That way you’ll know when to stop by to fill a need.
