Harassed about buying lotion every time I come in to tan. No joke! I get about a two minute lecture followed with twenty questions about lotion before I can go tan! I have only had membership a month and have alreAdy bought two bottles of lotion! Also got a rash after tanning. Not sure if it was the lotion or a dirty tanning bed. Ew! I will def bring my own cleaning wipes from now on if I come back! So far disappointed with my membership!

My first time at ATB in Broomfield was a great one. They guy that greeted me was very outgoing, funny, and had a positive vibe. I’m an out of state tanner, so this is always great to see! I’ll definitely be returning to this location again today!

Okay, I read all of the reviews and I would agree that ATB is a very frustrating place to go tanning. I go there because I was signed up on a monthly promo that gives me unlimited Versa and I have yet to find a better price. Having said that, this is a place where things are not consistent. Sometimes I have a towel… sometimes not. Sometimes they are nice, sometimes not. I get anoyed that they offer me lotion everytime I come in and insist that they«see» what lotion I brought in. Typically the girl behind the counter is on a personal phone call and oh-so annoyed that I came in and interupted. However, there is a newer employee working at the 104th and Federal location named Brandon. He is so nice, not pushy at all and actually seems to care about the customers experience at his location. Way to go Brandon! I hope ATB treats him right so he will not quit… his co-workers should learn something about not being snotty to a paying customer from him!

Boy, do I regret not reading the Unilocal reviews before stepping foot into this tanning salon! My experience here was comparable to the other bad reviews I’ve read, and it was a hard lesson learned. Very pushy salespeople who use dishonest tactics to get you to sign up for a membership that is horribly overpriced. They say that canceling is «super easy», when it actually turns out to be total nightmare that’s basically impossible to do. Next thing you know, collectors are calling you just about every day threatening your credit score and citing increasingly higher charges and late fees. However, I do offer one strong recommendation if you have a similar experience: file a complaint with the BBB. Within three days of the business receiving my BBB complaint, they canceled my membership and waived all ridiculous«late fees» and other charges. If more people lodged complaints, this business would be forced to operate differently.

Extremely bad customer service and bait and switch tactics to get you to sign up for monthly memberships. The low end membership beds are dirty, old and cracked the fans inside the beds don’t work because of the amount of dust and dirt caked on them. I swear they actually try to make your tanning miserable in the 29.95 monthly membership so you will upgrade. Watch out, if you are in the basic membership you will be interrogated as to WHY, everytime you walk in. Not to mention the 10 upsell questions you have to get through in order to just tan is astounding. It took me at least 5 minutes to get checked in because they will not stop trying to sell you additional memberships, lotion, goggles, makeup, lip balm and every other product they carry. Staff is rude and snarky each visit. This business does not even deserve one star

Front desk staff and manager is terrible to deal with. If you want to deal with teenagers and people who don’t care about customer service, visit this place. They care nothing about you, aside from a commission for signing you up on a monthly plan. If I ran my business this way, I wouldn’t have any customers. If you sign up for a month and decide to cancel, you will need to contact your credit card company to stop the monthly charges. The company will also refuse to refund any past charges made between the time to requested the cancellation to the point of contacting your Credit Card company to STOP payment on the canceled service.

I don’t often right reviews for businesses, but my experience was so bad that it prompted me to warn others about this place. 1. I brought in a free week coupon to try them and the counter person told me that I couldn’t use it unless I bought a contract. She lied to me, customer service confirmed that there are no strings attached on your free week. 2. Only after I refused to sign a contract she offered me the option to purchase a month of tanning, so I did, and«all Inclusive» package. 3. The«all inclusive package does not include the moisturizer in the spray tan booths, that’s $ 5 extra per visit. 4. If the computers go down you can’t tan, sorry. Do they make up the lost down time in your contract? No. 5. The 800 number on the window take about 30 minutes on hold to actually speak with someone. 6. Some of the girls were nice, but the person who sold me my service was dishonest and unpleasant after I purchased my service. It’s clear that they work on commission.

As long as you can shut out the constant nagging to upgrade or purchase their grossly over priced lotions everything is fine. The place is clean, the equipment is maintained, and the results are great. The staff is always friendly and if you time it right and take advantage of their BOGO(buy one –get one) events, the price is very reasonable. Little secret– they typically do their BOGO’s around every holiday.

Pretty much everything that needs to be said already has with this company; they’re horrible. I am reaching my two year mark as a customer. Which means Im free of their bs contract. I have, however been thinking about my options if I were to continue this marry-go-round cycle with them. Me thinks after today hell and no. I get SOTIRED of them always trying to upsell me with bs products or lotions. O I will miss your constant hounding me to upgrade my already overpriced contract. Your superficial«fake«employees who pretend to be my best friend –just to sell me overpriced expensive lotions I neither need or desire to use. How I will miss the constant haggling with my bill the«surprize» late fees among other«fees» that you attempt to swindle me out of. However, the thing I will miss the most is the outright lies you tell to my face. «Of course only At The Beach is the«Only» salon that has the versa spa system. « – which is why I was able to locate 12 other salons who have it. Sorry At the Beach-things just didnt work out… I’ve found someone new.

My experience with this location of At The Beach has not been ideal so far. If I could give one piece of advice to everyone I’d advise you to never believe anything any employee says to you. They will lie and tell stories in order to get you to buy packages, lotions and other things. Do your research on your own, on the Internet, and trust your instincts. First of all, NEVER buy any lotions or extra items at the salon. Much like a movie theater, the admission price is expensive but the extras are expensive to the point of being ridiculous. You have to pay their fees to use a tanning bed, but it would be crazy to buy their lotions. For example, a $ 20 bottle of expensive tanning lotion online is at least $ 50 at the salon. They’ll give you lots of reasons why, but if you do your own research by contacting manufacturing companies and other resellers you’ll quickly find out that it’s all lies from the salon in order to sell products. Be smart, and don’t pay their prices! As for the salon itself, I’ve been going there for almost three weeks and there are still no paper towels in the ladies room. It’s extremely inconvenient and kind of gross for the customers, but what does that mean for the women who work there? They spend their days cleaning up sweaty tanning beds, right? If there are no paper towels, how are they washing their hands? My guess is that they are not, and that’s unsanitary and nasty. The beds seem clean, but who really knows? There are places in the walls around the beds where you can see between the panels, so it doesn’t seem like they care much about your privacy. It also took me about 30 minutes to purchase my contract. The girl who was working at the counter was obviously new and had to make multiple phone calls to her boss in order to figure out how to charge me a monthly fee. She never could figure it out, so I offered to pay the entire thing all at once. Then she mentioned that not only could she do that but I would get a discount for doing it. She never even mentioned that, originally, and the original price she quoted was quite a bit different than the final price. One last bit of advice: be absolutely sure your door is locked before getting undressed. The doors do not have handles on them, only turn locks. It’s very easy to turn the lock without actually locking the door, so you should try the door after locking it to make sure it’s actually locked. Would I recommend this location of At The Beach? As far as tanning places go, it seems pretty substandard so I wouldn’t recommend them. Just make sure you don’t buy any lotions or anything else, and make sure they charge you correctly. Do the math yourself before you let them charge your credit card. Buyer beware, as they say.
