Mister Bagel

I come here often for a «super» bagel with cream cheese! My friends will either get the gluten free bagel or blueberry. I have always had good experiences with my bagels here and I am always sure to return!
The customer service is a little bland… But overall it gets five stars from me!

Very disappointed with Mister Bagel. I went there today and was disgusted at how the employees touch everything with their bare hands then proceeded to touch money, cards and the register and go back to making the sandwich or bagel. I will not be recommending Mister Bagels to anyone!

Although you can’t compare this to a bagel place in a major urban city, this is as good as you’re going to find in mid-​coast Maine. A large variety of fresh, tasty bagels; all kinds of spreads including light choices; a clean place to eat; and an expanded menu with a number of other food options. Coffee is not limitless, which is a bit disappointing. My bagel sandwich wasn’t melted enough (the cheese), although it was very tasty. Other recent times, my bagel and cream cheese was toasted to heavenly perfection. For bagels and related stuff, this is a darn good option.

Great choice of yummy bagels and cream cheese. Variety of green mt. coffee choices. I appreciated they ask the amount of cream cheese you want on the bagel. The jalapeño cream cheese had a nice kick, the seeded bagels are seeded on both sides, and several made in wheat.

Clean eating area and polite staff. Love the bagels for both cream cheese and for sandwiches.

The bagels and spreads are good, but hopefully no one will get sick… we watched the woman behind the counter grab and slice the bagels we recently ordered with bare hands, no gloves. Then she proceeded to handle cash for customers while our bagels were toasting. Then she went back to our bagels, didn’t wash her hands or put on gloves, and grabbed the toasted bagels with the same bare hands that just handled cash, and then she spread the cheese on top. Yuk! We were very grossed out and only ate a few bites. Very unsanitary to handle food with bare hands and then handle cash and then handle food again. Where were the gloves? Where are the restaurant inspectors? Coffee was very watered down in our opinion. Not a good place.

Best bagels around Northern New England! Excellent selection of cream cheese. I have tried all of the bagels they make and love them all! The texture and flavor inside and out are perfect. Nice CRUSTY exterior and a chewy delicious inside (unless of course it is a bialy). They are tasty at room temperature or toasted. Accept no «dinner roll» substitute as a bagel.
