For scholarship night at my daughters high school, Safari Grill catered. The food was very good. We had fried boneless skinless chicken breast, potatoes and green beans. Everything was very tasty. In fact the chicken was good the next day, still moist but not soggy. So what brings us to a two star review? Well… Based on the catered food we stopped in to try a nice sit down and see what else they had to offer. Wow…ummm, well it’s wasn’t great or even good. The oldest daughter got the fried chicken breast, just like at Scholarship Night, the youngest daughter got a chicken breast stuffed with crawfish and sausage, the husband got a cheeseburger and I got a chopped steak. The fried chicken breast was awesome! Moist, flavorful, very fresh. The stuffed breast was well just horrible. The chicken was so hard, it took forever to saw through it, Not over cooked per se but like it’d been sitting around a while or perhaps frozen a few decades, IDK… The husbands burger was ok, and my chopped steak was hardly touched. It just wasn’t good. The truth is had we just ordered the chicken breast like we had previously I’d probably be posting a four star rating. I don’t know if we’ll return but if we do it will only be because of the chicken breast. And the meals were $ — $$.
