Went in here once when I was job hunting/exploring boutiques and was immediately made uncomfortable. I was followed around the store and asked THREE times if I needed help even though I had already said I was just having a look around. I believe I was being racially profiled and was being watched for theft and I did not appreciate it. So make sure you don’t go here if you’re anything other than Caucasian. Will never return to this place.

Last year when I posted a Unilocal review regarding their line of premium local pastas, I am 100% sure I updated the category to include food. Unilocal has failed to recognize that, so I assume whatever Unilocal staffer it is responsible for making sure categories are correct, is probably in Austin. Sssssssssssssssss! Morgan Fitzgerald’s most certainly does sell food, I just picked up another pasta package a few days ago. It’s called Mama’s pasta and is local, ultra premium that you will not find anywhere else –at all– in Brazos Valley. Not at the evil HEB, not at Kroger, nor even Village Foods or Brazos Natural foods. Huge selection right by the cash register area. Under $ 6 for a premium base of a dinner for two. And the staff are extremely well trained in every aspect of these foods, absolute totally excellent service.

This store has it all! If I have to find a gift in a hurry or just want to kill some time, this is my one stop shop. They also have great monthly events where you can win awesome prizes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner Nancy really knows her stuff and has an answer for any question you can think of. The other ladies that work there(Brenda, Olivia & Kassi) are extremely friendly and helpful and will easily put a smile on your face. The seamstress Bonnie is hands down the best in the area. She has done everything from a formal gown I wore to ring dance to the many pair of jeans I’ve needed hemmed due to my height. She is tremendously talented and I highly recommend her if you need any kind of alterations. Here is the breakdown on some of the effects they carry: Merle Norman Cosmetics– The only location in BCS where you can get it. I have been using this makeup company for years and love it. Plus they will give you a free makeover whether you just want a new way to wear your eye-makeup or you actually want an entire skin care lesson. Brighton Collectables– They have the biggest selection in BCS of jewelry, and I’m pretty sure the other stores that carry Brighton don’t have their other products like handbags or shoes. The ladies that work here are very helpful and if they don’t have a piece you’re looking for they will special order it for you no problem. Vera Bradley– A few other places in town carry this line as well but none of them offer the personalized customer service that this location has as well as such a large selection. Hair-U-Wear– They have wigs and hair pieces out the wahzoo! The hair pieces they carry are very high quality. I got one of the ponytail ones just for fun. I love using it when I’m having a bad hair day and believe it or not I get compliments! They also have a ton of little random gift ideas as well as clothes. The clothing is more geared toward women who are 40+ though. The store can be a little overwhelming with the amount of items that are packed into it but the ladies there are more than willing to help you search through it and I think they have been making more of an effort to organize it recently. I know you can probably already tell from this review that I love this store and highly suggest you try it!
